Mardi Gras House - cozy cabin on a peaceful farm

Owner was very accommodating! The salt room and sauna was a great added bonus! Cabin was clean and the setting was beautiful!

This was a perfect spot for my family during our 3 day stay at the Pawpaw Festival. Steve is such a sweet and caring guy! Loved it.

Quick overnighter for the Ohio football game. House is off the beaten path but exactly what we needed.

He is so friendly and welcoming! We had very open access to the property and amenities for our entire stay. Very nice and clean when we stayed. Keep in mind it was very tight with three people, especially in the kitchenette, and the grill was difficult to get working. We will definitely be staying again, the location was amazing for all the hiking we did!

I spent three nights in the Mardi Gras house just to get away from the city and life. I couldn’t have picked a better spot! Plenty of space to roam on the property, lots of interesting things to see, and the brew house/spa was an absolute delightful and surprising luxury! Salt room, sauna, then hot tub and I slept so well! I travel to this region for work and without a doubt, I’ll be staying at Steve’s from now on!

Beautiful location, easily accessible! Directions to location are spot on and very easy to find. Property is clean, tidy, very charming, and relaxing. Booked for my nieces graduation from OU and moving my daughter out of her dorm at OU. Host and groundskeeper very friendly. Answered all of our questions and made us feel like we were old friends even though we had never met. My son and I loved hiking/exploring the immediate grounds. Hot tub was a plus! Clean, hot, and a much added relaxing bonus! Will definitely consider booking again next year for my daughters graduation weekend from OU.

We were in the area to do some hiking, the cabin is clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. Very quiet, lovely woods just outside the door. My 16yo loved the loft.

So relaxing and quiet

We are a middle aged couple who went to the Mardi Gras cabin to escape reality for a bit. We are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary soon and traveling back to the Athens area, where it all began felt right. The cabin was clean, all the necessary amenities were provided. Bed was comfy and the shower hot. We used the communial hot tub and it was easy to get to and use. The cabin had everything we wanted and were very pleased.

Was just what we were looking for. Good location, off the beaten path.

Overall pleased with the whole experience. The owners is super nice and helpful. Check in and out is so easy. Would definitely book again when visiting the daughter in college or just hiking

Wonderful place a had great time

We were traveling for a quick weekend trip. This place was perfect! So nice to get away from city life sometimes. We loved everything about it!

My son, dog and I came out to escape the fireworks. We stayed at the Mardi Gras house and it was perfect. Quaint, cozy and had everything we needed. The property is beautiful and peaceful with the added bonus of a wonderful grounds keeper. Jason has a magnetic jovial personality that made our experience even better by sharing his bee keeping and plant knowledge with us. I would definitely recommend experiencing and exploring Morning Dew Hops Farm.
