This Cozy remodeled 1940s cabin made with hand cut logs from the property nestled in the quaint town of Spirit Lake. Lyman's Cabin was lived in by my father growing up and has become the most beautiful retreat for our family. I married my Husband here in October of 2020 and it was the most beautiful day of my life! Larger events can be booked through our main website Lymans cabin. com and NOT through VRBO.
The deck adds almost 400 square feet of relaxation space lovely for morning coffee and pancakes, overlooking the property. Eagles, deer, marmots, squirrels and other wildlife are not uncommon!
Adorable shops and restaurants line the main street of Spirit Lake where the road leads you strait to the main public boat launch including a public boat dock! Another more neighborly boat launch is just down the street, walking distance from the cabin. With no public dock but a perfect place to walk down with floaty or a paddle board!

We (my wife, 2 kids, brother, and a couple other friends) really enjoyed our stay here. The place was as advertised - it was clean, cozy, and had a beautiful deck for the evenings. The location was great, we were there to explore the Silverwood Theme park, which we did all week... and it was only about 10 mins away. If this place had AC I think we'd be giving a 5 star review, as that's about the only thing I can think of that would improve our stay...! The bedrooms were very, very warm at night, and although the basement was nice and cool, the futons/couches were a little small for an adult to sleep on. But, a great time, we were very happy with this place, and would come again!!!
This cabin is in a beautiful location and the wedding venue would be very lovely. The outdoor grotto area is natural and treed. There were 5 of us and the upstairs bedrooms were comfortable and the main living area functional. The kitchen was well stocked, but just 2 small dorm style refrigerators. The deck off the kitchen is relaxing and well furnished. The “man cave “was where my 3 teen grandchildren slept. They were hesitant as it was very rustic and musty. Not too inviting but we did okay. That was the only disappointment in the property and perhaps I misread the description. Jessica was very prompt in answering our questions.
Convenient for us as we had access to the lake from a nearby cabin Good location if you are using spirit lake Easy to get around I would only ask that the refrigerator be empty since space is somewhat limited Would stay there again
There were 3 dead mice downstairs that had obviously been there for awhile, as the carpet was stained where tge mice were laying. My kids refused to sleep down there understandably so. It was cold and dirty. It definitely could not sleep 10 like it advertised. My husband had to sleep in the truck and the kids on the floor upstairs. My sister and nieces ended up having to get a hotel the 2nd night. Also, it is NOT 7 minutes from Silverwood...20+ minutes...
Me and my four teenage kids took a trip to Northern Idaho to visit the Silverwood theme park. This cabin is located pretty close to it and it was quiet with starry skies. My daughter and I spent a good amount of time on the back deck just visiting each other and enjoying the peace. With a bbq and smoker on the deck, one could have nice meals. Plenty of seating. The lower yard is prepared for events. Primarily for weddings. The local town is cute and there’s the Lake near by for water activities. A great place to visit and we didn’t want to leave. It doesn’t have Wifi but that’s not really a bad thing. :) Thanks again.
It was nice and quite away from the city
My daughter was married at this venue and also stayed on the property during the days surrounding the wedding. It was magical!
It was easy
