We loved the cabin, its the perfect cozy place to spend quality time with family.
This home is perfectly situated - close to town but tucked away in the pines. It has all the amenities needed for a family and we had an excellent week there. Can’t wait to return!
We enjoyed our stay at the Red Top Lodge. Perfect set up for three couples and 2 kids! The kids were even able to sled down the hill by the driveway. It was conveniently located between Wolf Creek Ski Area and Pagosa Springs.
Everyone had their own floor/bed Kitchen had all appliances we needed Great location for skiing Wolfe Creek Suggestions: Repair ping pong table Upgrade pillows Upgrade heating systems- Bedrooms get hot at night Overall it was Absolutely Perfect!!
A perfect home away from home!! It has many perks but for us the best part is the location. We love how close to town it is and also close to Wolf Creek for our skiers/snowboarders as well. It is in a quiet and secluded neighborhood which keeps the roads and drives maintained during snowy winter conditions. Our favorite place to stay in Pagosa!!
This house was perfect for our two families. I love the location.
It is sad that I must wright a review like this. What an amazing place! This house is built beautifully and is very spacious. The downfall is, it's filthy and I mean filthy. When we drove in we were so excited. We were to begin our week-long vacation meeting with family from Calif, Oklahoma and Texas. We began unloading groceries and luggage and immediately found mouse droppings throughout the kitchen, bedrooms, in bedroom drawers and bathrooms. The silverware, pots, pans, all the cabinetry, all floors were full of mouse droppings. We immediately took pictures and cleaned and disinfected the entire kitchen. Our cleaning time was from 4:00 arrival until 9:30 pm that night. There were 3 adult women cleaning and disinfecting for 5 1/2 hours. After spending over $4000 this was not the welcome we were anticipating. We immediately called Vacasa about the mice issue. There were 100’s of mouse droppings in every room. In addition, there was dust throughout the house, deep dust, the kind that has been there for a few months. We spent time cleaning the living spaces and filled 2 vacuums with dust and debris (including 100’s of dead flies). Vacasa came and set some traps with peanut butter, actually drawing mice back into the newly disinfected areas which we were perplexed about. Day 2….We filled the tub with water and gave our first child a bath. When we drained the tub, the tub did not drain. We bought a drain snake and my husband snaked the tub. The hair collected in the tub drain was one inch thick and 12 inches long. Disgusted does not adequately describe our shock. The appliances are in need of repair. The stove knobs continually spin in a 360* motion. The smell of gas leaking was detectable daily. The oven needs calibrating. The sink faucets are loose. The ground level bathroom faucet drips constantly. Another issue was the driveway. We do not have an issue with the driveway itself, once again the maintenance is nonexistent. Both trucks got stuck upon arrival and we had to get it pulled out. We were excited so we shrugged our shoulders and laughed it off. It was not so funny after hours of shoveling. We also called about the thick sheet of ice on the driveway and the response from Vacasa was underwhelming to say the least. We ended up spending over $150.00 salting and hours shoveling snow due to lack of maintenance on Vacasa’s part. We paid $4000 for a fully functioning home and for that price, expect a fully sanitary functioning home inside and out. Note of interest: Before booking our Christmas vacation I did read that another customer had mouse issues. Vacasa responded saying the issue had been taken care of. Not so, the mice are horrendous and are visually running from bedroom to bathroom. In summary this is a beautiful home but sadly Vacasa has neglected to maintain it to a minimum sanitary standard. I would not rent this home again nor will I book with Vacasa again. I'm giving a 2 star review because the house was nice. I would give 0 to Vacasa for the maintenance. [email protected]
We went on a family vacation with a herd of us. The house was perfect for all of us. The younger boys played and built a fort in the loft. We sat around the large table and played games in the evening. We didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Close to town and beautiful.
The cabin was nice there were some concerns about the overall cleanliness. And up keep on the outside stairway. It was full of weeds with thorns on them. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The outside grill was dirty and we had to clean it before cooking on it.
The Red Top Inn was the perfect place for a family getaway. The house was very clean, beds comfortable. We really enjoyed the wrap around porch, very relaxing, and we even had deer right in the yard.
