Beautiful!- Good Morning LA tv show

“You only hear the wind and the trees” - 360 West Magazine

We imported Sundancer from Africa; it has a with a full bath (with over-sized shower), luxurious bedroom/linens, and somuch more! It's on a 300+ acre working cattle ranch, with lots of river frontage!

The Fort Worth Star Telegram called Sundancer The Best of Both Worlds ie of nature and comfort.
The Travel Channel (online) called it Irresistible!

Come see why! (And note our lower weeknight rates!)

Come meet (& feed) Dennis the donkey, his girlfriend Sugar, and all his other barnyard friends! - see pics

- Hunt for animal tracks on one of the white sand islands, or build a sand castle.
- Fishing is good just above the rapids
- Hang out in the 3000 square foot second floor room in the barn
- Go hunting for arrowheads and petrified wood.

A portion of your rental fee will be donated to the Tarrant Area Food Bank for the less fortunate. (Last year our donation provided 12,000 meals!)

Sundancer is for re-discovering love and adventure! It is a couples' paradise, and is also perfect for a personal retreat.

The Comanche were quite active up and down this part of the Brazos when the earliest settlers arrived around 1850, until the Commanches' eventual conquest by the Texas Rangers and their Colt pistols around 1870; we have found lots of flint and some arrowheads on high places here. Going further back in history, the Fuller’s Folly River Ranch has an abundance of petrified wood; they say that if you have fossilized sea shells you were under water, but if you have petrified wood you had land creatures. Hunting for petrified wood is a fun adventure here. (But leave them for the next person to discover!)

We offer discounts for one week stays.

We had the most incredible stay in the African tent on the ranch in Weatherford, Texas! It was the perfect mix of adventure and comfort — true glamping. We fed the horses and donkeys, relaxed by the fire making s’mores, soaked in the hot tub under the stars, and enjoyed breakfast on the balcony overlooking the waterfall. The tent itself was beautifully decorated with every amenity you’d expect in a home, but with the charm of being tucked away in the woods. The shower was absolutely gorgeous, the setting was peaceful, and we loved exploring the river and small ponds around the property for fishing. It was close to everything we wanted to do, yet still felt like a private escape. The caretakers were amazing — so friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this glamping experience to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable getaway!

It was very clean and private. The wooded area was great. We saw deer every morning and evening. It’s a short walk or drive to the private river access which was amazing! There was gunfire every afternoon, which was not great, but not sure if it was on the property or someone

We arrived just as darkness fell. It would have been nice to have some outside lights turned on for us. The deck railings are showing signs of wear, many of the ropes on the railing were broken and wood warped. Also it would have been nice if someone had swept the deck area and the outdoor seating area prior to our arrival. I had to do that myself before we could enjoy the outside areas. Be aware the kitchenette is really just a bar area with mini fridge and tiny sink & microwave but we made it work. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Once we figured out how to turn on the waterfall (we hadn't realized from the pictures or description that it was a water feature on a timer) we enjoyed that as well. The shower was lovely and the bed adequate. We didn't use the hot tub at all because the water looked dirty and having to build your own fire to heat it seemed a bit daunting. What we most enjoyed during our stay was our long walks (1.5 miles) each day to the river. The land around the property itself is beautiful.

Beautiful location with luxury tent/cabin and the most awesome fire heated wooden soaking tub. Waterfall and trees galore with nature all around. We will be going back in the future! Plus check out their Hobbit House rental. Such nice owners to deal with.
