Stayed Nov 22, 2025We had the most incredible stay in the African tent on the ranch in Weatherford, Texas! It was the perfect mix of adventure and comfort — true glamping. We fed the horses and donkeys, relaxed by the fire making s’mores, soaked in the hot tub under the stars, and enjoyed breakfast on the balcony overlooking the waterfall. The tent itself was beautifully decorated with every amenity you’d expect in a home, but with the charm of being tucked away in the woods. The shower was absolutely gorgeous, the setting was peaceful, and we loved exploring the river and small ponds around the property for fishing. It was close to everything we wanted to do, yet still felt like a private escape. The caretakers were amazing — so friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this glamping experience to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable getaway!

Stayed Oct 25, 2024It was very clean and private. The wooded area was great. We saw deer every morning and evening. It’s a short walk or drive to the private river access which was amazing! There was gunfire every afternoon, which was not great, but not sure if it was on the property or someone

Stayed Oct 14, 2022We arrived just as darkness fell. It would have been nice to have some outside lights turned on for us. The deck railings are showing signs of wear, many of the ropes on the railing were broken and wood warped. Also it would have been nice if someone had swept the deck area and the outdoor seating area prior to our arrival. I had to do that myself before we could enjoy the outside areas. Be aware the kitchenette is really just a bar area with mini fridge and tiny sink & microwave but we made it work. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Once we figured out how to turn on the waterfall (we hadn't realized from the pictures or description that it was a water feature on a timer) we enjoyed that as well. The shower was lovely and the bed adequate. We didn't use the hot tub at all because the water looked dirty and having to build your own fire to heat it seemed a bit daunting. What we most enjoyed during our stay was our long walks (1.5 miles) each day to the river. The land around the property itself is beautiful.
