I booked this cabin because it was advertised as luxurious and isolated, but neither description matched my experience. The cabin had neighboring cabins only about 50 meters away on both sides, so it did not feel secluded. The “welcome package” consisted of a few crackers, and there were no board games, movies, or complimentary outdoor recreational equipment, making the stay feel far from luxurious. The cabin also had several maintenance issues. About half of the electrical outlets didn’t work, including outlets with lamps plugged into them, forcing us to rearrange lighting. The cabin wasn’t properly cleaned either—we found old coffee left in the coffee maker. The bathrooms felt dated, with old toilet mechanisms that frequently needed adjustment, and the showers were tiny with cheap plastic walls more fitting for an RV than a luxury cabin. The most disappointing part came after checkout. Upon arrival, I notified the host that the cabin wasn’t as clean as expected. Instead of addressing my concerns, the experience seemed to turn hostile. After my stay, the host relayed claims from the cleaning staff that I had damaged the stovetop and taken linens, then charged me for damages without providing photos or other evidence despite my request. It all felt defensive and retaliatory after I raised legitimate concerns about the property.I’ve stayed at many Vrbo properties over the years and have consistently received positive reviews from hosts. This was by far my most disappointing

This house was perfect and you cannot beat the view which was important to me. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. It was perfect for 2 couples but I’m not sure it would be the place for small children. The one question I had for the host while we were there was answered promptly. The only complaint is that my husband didn’t like backing out of the driveway. We would rent this cabin again.

Amazing! Excellent views. Perfect hot tub in the cool mornings. The kitchen was well stocked for meals with some seasonings even available. Cozy beds. Close to downtown Franklin to enjoy multiple bookstores, great restaurants (like Gracious Plates and Caffe Rel!), and nice weather. Would love to stay here again!

Amazing view and very nice house. Location is a bit out of town but that just makes it accessible to multiple areas and great for outdoor adventures in area. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to stay again if we revisit this area. Hot tub is great and kitchen is well equipped. Great spot for family and friends.

This rental was amazing, simply put. Pictures of the view don’t do it justice and the inside has a ‘hallmark’ vibe; warm and inviting. Proximity to surrounding cities was perfect and might be the hidden secret to this home. Allowed us to visit Franklin, Bryson City, and Cherokee without feeling it was unnecessarily out of the way. Our host was fantastic and extremely communicative, ensuring our stay was perfect. We would stay again and again!

Unfortunately Winter Storm Fern caused issues with our stay & we had to leave early. However, the hosts we very supportive and communicative. The residents was lovely and I would return in the future - weather permitting ;) We did venture into Franklin and enjoyed strolling around Main Street. Note to those brining a dog - there is not a ton of walking spaces near the house except the road - so be aware. My dog loved it but I wanted to make sure I was careful and considerate of curbing her business.

Super comfortable mountain abode. Easy access and close to Franklin and 1hr to Highlands. Incredible views for the fall season. Beds are very comfortable, the towels are lux and the provided toiletries are a nice touch. The kitchen is extremely well appointed. The hot tub is cozy and offers an outstanding view of the mountains. The fireplace is nicely situated (if you want a fire take long burning pressed fire logs). Highly recommended and plan on staying here again.

A lovely home with the most incredible breathtaking views of the beautiful Great Smoky Mountain range, where peace and beauty endlessly surrounds you. The home is well equipped with most anything one would need. The write up is accurate. The home is easy to get to and is well situated between Franklin and Bryson city N.C. The homeowner did a fabulous job with communication when needed. Bravo Lorin!

Very clean house. Beautiful views. Good quality stocked toiletries and towels. Little awkward parking for standard vehicles but manageable. Little far out from towns so keep that in mind that your at least 20-30 mins travel times. AC was a little tricky. Tend to just turn off or increase temp which was frustrating since the windows are South West facing and can get a little warm. Otherwise we had a terrific time exploring nearby towns. Imagine the views are breathtaking when the leaves change.

Everything was great. The view is spectacular. The driveway might be tricky for a vehicle with very low clearance. The Internet was somewhat slow and not suitable for streaming. The AC was very quick to cool down the home. There are many things to do nearby, including UTVing, jet skiing, gem mining, river tubing, breweries, hiking, waterfalls and more

We were fortunate to have picked this location to celebrate our 15th anniversary. It's an amazing location, and the house itself is beautiful! We spent most of our time either on the porch watching birds and sunsets or hiking nearby trails in Nantahala NF. Our host went out of his way to accommodate us and to make sure we had everything that we needed. When the refrigerator died, he had a new one ordered and installed almost right away. I was extremely impressed with his kindness and attentiveness. We really hope to come back again soon!

The views at this cabin are beautiful however it is a bit of a drive to get to town so plan accordingly. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We golfed in Whittier at Smokey Mountain Country Club, took the train ride to the gorge. We had a wonderful meal at Lucio’s Italian Restaurant in Franklin, check their website for hours as they were only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 5-8 during our stay.

This is my third stay at this amazing cabin and it is exactly as I remember it. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning panoramic views—truly a sight to wake up to each morning. The home itself is beautifully designed, with a warm and cozy feel that perfectly complements the natural surroundings. One of the highlights was the kitchen—it was not only spacious and well-equipped but also a dream to cook in. Whether we were preparing a quick breakfast before heading out to explore or enjoying a relaxing dinner in, it had everything we needed and more. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure our stay was seamless. Their attention to detail and hospitality truly made a difference. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with breathtaking scenery and all the comforts of home, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

The cabin is perfect. We had an amazing getaway there! Outside of Franklin but not too far. We went North to Carson City one day then South to Highlands another. When we weren't hiking to all the waterfalls in the area, we were relaxing at the cabin and enjoying the hot tub. We can't wait to go back!
