Lookout Lodge - A Rocky Mountain Getaway with Views: only 1.5 hours from Denver

My wife and I stayed at the Lookout Lodge- A Rocky Mountain Getaway for one week from April 13 to April 20, 2024. Lookout Lodge is a great place to relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains. Total peace and serenity. If you are looking for a place to escape from it all, this location is it.

Beautiful place

Very easy check in process. We loved The cabin, location was wonderful. Furnishings were very nice and cozy. Cabin is very clean and organized. Kitchen is well stocked with stemware, dishes. pots, pans and appliances. Would definitely stay again..

Had a great stay, the cabin was clean and well furnished. Watching the sunset from the deck was outstanding.

This cabin is the perfect place to stay. Calm, relaxing and comfortable. The stars at night made this city girl cry.

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous. I am a Colorado native and have never seen so many aspens. Truly a hidden gem. We star gazed, saw the Milky Way and all of Orion!!

Absolutely beautiful, the most perfect getaway. Secluded but close enough to get out and check out all the ‘touristy’ attractions. Loved everything about it!

Great and clean place! Worked well as we had events in Breckenridge and Fairplay and this is a great spot away from the hustle and bustle. Quiet and peaceful place.

Communication was great regarding how to get into the cabin and the information I received or if I needed anything. The cabin was perfect from the kitchen to the bedrooms. Loved that they had card games and puzzles for the family to play. It's great to spend time with each other, but then being on electronics can be a distraction. They had everything we needed in the cabin, from pots, pans, utensils, to bathroom supplies like shampoo, a first aid kit, and much more. This is the first time that I stayed that they provided a lot of comforts for you, which was great if you forgot something, they had it for you. The scenery is beautiful and peaceful during the stay, and I will be staying again sometime in the future.

Beautiful house in a very quiet location. Everything was as advertised. Even though it is somewhat away from any significant communities and parks/activities (which we knew going in), it was easily balanced by the gorgeous surroundings and sereneness. Awesome sunsets were just the cherry on top. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay there.

We had an amazing stay it a very good location. Very clean and loved all the open windows upstairs it provided lots of opportunities to just look at the sunset and stars.

Cabin was very nice and had everything we possibly need for our stay. Everything was clean and also had a few things we forgot to bring which was nice. Everyone loved the deck looking over the area along with mule deer coming by every day for the kids to watch. Thanks for making our vacation perfect.

We were here for family wedding. The location and the home is beautiful. You can't beat the views! The house was lovely and well stocked!

The property was spotless and it was in excellent condition. A joy to stay in. Everything we needed was there. It could not have been a more enjoyable experience The property is absolutely beautiful.

The space was clean, well-equipped, and surrounded by peaceful nature — perfect for unwinding. Though the visit was brief, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with thoughtful touches. We'd definitely return for a longer getaway next time.

The property was extremely clean well stocked with everything needed the views are amazing and television and phone and internet services wqs excellent the location was easy to access even in snowy conditions I would highly recommend the property.

The most beautiful place we've been

We came up to Bob’s cabin in the fall, with peak foliage and amazing views. The cabin was as described, clean and so relaxing. I really appreciated their hospitality and communication! I would stay there again.

The cabin is gorgeous and in a beautiful location, however I messaged the owners after our stay about a pair of glasses that were left behind and never got a reply. Poor communication

Fantastic property in a beautiful location. Had a great stay and wish we had more time. Terrific location just far enough away from everything to feel mostly secluded, but close enough to amenities to be practical.

Lookout Lodge is very beautiful cabin. If you are looking for a remote setting, this would be the place. It is a bit further out than expected and what the listing provided. Everything you needed for accommodations was there. However, it quite uncomfortable for sleeping and with lack of windows and curtains for the afternoon sun, it was extremely hot.

This property is so lovely. Lots of extra convenient items were included, like coffee, spices and some toiletries. They also included games and puzzles. There was a badger living right off that back deck that we saw around dusk both evenings we stayed. We also saw quite a few deer. I also recommend making a stop at the ghost town in Fairplay. The photos do not do the view justice. Overall, wonderful stay and a beautiful property.
