Stayed Jun 13, 2026The cabin worked out great for our group of 11. Plenty of rooms for sleeping for everyone and the big kitchen table meant we could all eat together at one time. Chuck was great as a host, him taking me through everything about the cabin on the day we check in was very helpful. Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the lake as much as the high water level meant the entire dock couldn’t be put in while we were there. The yard was great for the kids to play in. Would definitely go back for another stay.

Stayed May 15, 2026The house was nice, but my biggest complaint was the owner constantly wanted to be in communication throughout the stay. He called and texted throughout our weekend, asked me to call him many times. When I arrived at the cabin, I couldn’t even get out of my car before he was calling me and trying to walk me through the house on the phone. He insisted on showing me where everything was over the phone even down to what was in each drawer in the kitchen which was very annoying because my guests were arriving while I was unable to greet them as I was on the phone for 30 minutes. Communication was constant. The house also has no air conditioning at all so, especially being a hot log cabin, I advise not staying in the summer. There were no oars for the kayaks. You need to bring your own toilet paper, paper towel, etc. You have to wash your own dishes before you leave and also the cleaning lady was at the house before we even needed to check out just watching us pack our stuff up and load it in the car. Awkward and uncomfortable.

Stayed Jan 30, 2026Fantastic cabin in a great location! Beautiful log home with great old school feel but modern amenities. Plenty of space and bedrooms to accommodate a large group. Charles was great host and took the time on arrival to walk through the property and share everything you’d need to know. Definitely will be back in the future!

Stayed Aug 31, 2025From the check in to the amenities, this property was a great experience. My granddaughter enjoyed playing in the sandbox and we all enjoyed kayaking, swimming & making s’mores at the campfire. Lakeview was beautiful (we even saw the northern lights!). The kitchen had everything we needed for a dinner cooked on the grill. Thorough walk through at checkin. Highly recommend!

Stayed May 26, 2025We used the cabin as a centralized hub to all of the wonderful sights within a short drive. Our Texas family has never been to upper Michigan and being from Michigan I wanted to share some of the best places I have visited with them. We visited Mackinac Bridge, Soo Locks, Shipwreck Museum, Tahquamenon Falls, Tunnel of Trees, Morel Mushroom Hunting, of course Lake Michigan, Huron, and Superior, then on our journey home stopped at Silver Lake and rode Mac Woods Dune Ride and visited the Tin Man in Hart Michigan. The cabin was very comfortable and cozy. We loved having a camp fire right on the edge of the lake and the sunsets were gorgeous. One of the coolest things was witnessing the great fire fighting air tankers located in Gaylord Michigan quickly putting out a forest fire that started just a few miles from the cabin using water collected from Burt Lake. The air tankers collected water right in front of the cabin.

Stayed Oct 11, 2024I picked this house because of the cozy looking living room. And it did not disappoint. A beautiful view from the living room was perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee on a chilly morning. A huge kitchen table where we puzzled and played games. The host and his helpers were very accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked.
