The drive up to the cabin was a bit unnerving but definitely worth the ride. Perfect cabin to escape the world.

My wife and I love the outdoors and wanted a place to stay when visiting the Smokey Mountains National Parks and this was an awesome place! Not only does it have quick access to the Catalochee Valley but also was secluded and had ample privacy. It also had an amazing, beautiful, and picturesque sunrise view from the porch and bedroom. We will definitely be renting here again in future visits!

If you are looking for wifi, people, or a party atmosphere, this place is NOT for you! If you are looking for a beautiful, secluded place to spend QUALITY time with whomever you are with, this place IS for you! The setup is perfect for a family or group of friends. Beautifully decorated with everything you need. Very convenient to Cattalochee Valley. I cannot say enough good things about the property and the hoats! The only things to be aware of is the driveway is steep but my friend's car had no issues, and the walk up to the cabin (30 yards) can be tricky for anyone with balance issues. These are not negatives, just things to be aware of.

The hot tub smelled and was green when we tried to get in it. The A/c didn’t work the whole weekend. The garbage disposal had a crack in it (which owners knew about but didn’t warn us about) the address is not visible from the street, not sure where the dumpster was/is (never sent email to give information, like stated in the arrival email). The driveway is very narrow and steep. The “sidewalk” up to home is very steep and difficult ( if elderly or have issues with legs). Yes the view is nice, firepit is nice. Place is clean. NO INTERNET! Even though wifi (basic email for all their properties) state if any issues with wifi how to fix. We did contact owners and they were willing to send someone to the cabin to assist, but, unfortunately, we had plans and were unable to wait for person to come. We plan this trip for our daughter’s graduation and left hot, sweaty and dissatisfied.

The house was great. The scenery was perfect. The drive up to the cabin was a little scary. Plan on arriving before dark. There were eight of us 40 years and older. The climb to the cabin was steep for us. One of the ladies fell carrying her stuff to the cabin. Perfect place but the seniors had a little bit of a hard time getting to the cabin. Once in the cabin a couple of ladies stayed in the cabin and didn’t leave because of the pathway. Everyone had a great time.

I booked this property to attend a family reunion in Maggie Valley. If you are looking for seclusion, this is it. The front porch views are amazing. Little to no cell service and no Wi-Fi, so you can definitely turn the outside world off. Lots of dvd’s and vhs movies provided. Hot tub is small, but nice. Kitchen has plenty of dishes and flatware. The log home has a beautiful wood burning stone fireplace. Other things to know… the drive up the mountain is steep and winding, as is the driveway(mostly paved). Parking is limited. The climb from car to house is a full cardio workout and we found it to be slippery following rain. I can’t imagine seniors or those with mobility issues safely making it to house. I would also be very concerned with small children on this property. Arrival night, my son discovered his bed (loft queen) had dirty sheets. We made do with sheets from trundle bed not in use. All of my group(adults) commented on the lack of lighting both inside and out. The grill/hot tub/fire pit area was nice, but had zero lighting that we could find. Both front and back porches(the length of house) had one small light at each door. Same issue inside. It’s almost as if lighting was an afterthought. So dark! We were also very disappointed in the bed and bath linens. Please invest in new! The towels and washcloths are worn out and many are stained. We had trouble with the washing machine and notified property manager. Response was quick, relaying instructions from cleaner.

Had a nice time in the cabin. The walk way up to the cabin is pretty tough especially unloading and toting everything up and back down. Besides that we had a great time and the best view in any cabin we have ever rented!
