This unique home has a gourmet kitchen with lots of outdoor seating on the expansive decks. Enjoy lovely sunset dinners after a long day of fly fishing, hiking or golfing.
The pictures don't convey how wonderful this home is. The property is on the edge of town, but you feel like you're miles out in the country. Fresh flowers, huckleberry jam and Montana coffee made our arrival even sweeter. The kitchen and bathrooms are very well stocked. Bear spray, hiking sticks, ice chest and numerous books/maps of the area were available. Beds and furniture are comfortable. Be sure to take time to experience the beautiful artwork throughout the home. We saw all kinds of wildlife including turkeys in the yard and deer & cattle across the creek under the apple trees. Sit out on the deck and watch the sunset - it's almost spiritual. Owner is on site and is very respectful of your privacy. Thank you, KC, for your hospitality. Your home is stunning and we can't wait to come up for another visit!
We enjoyed the location and the view of the apple orchard. We saw deer and turkeys and even a black bear the last night. The property was spacious and had everything we needed. Only complaint was a strong chemical smell in the basement area. Not sure if it was the carpeting but it either got better over the days or we got used to it.
Gorgeous log home with all the amenities. Very clean, great location, KC the owner was fabulous! She brought us a bouquet of red roses upon our arrival. Looking out of the living room we saw deer and wild turkeys every day. I can not think of one thing to help Improve our stay. It was perfect!!
beautiful area, convenient to everything. very sturdy home beautifully appointed for the location. I loved the clawfoot bathtub. it had everything necessary for cooking and a great place to sit outside and have dinners.
beautiful!
We had a really great visit. The location is convenient to west glacier and certainly makes for easy access to the many glacier hiking trails. The kitchen accessories were excellent and the mattresses were very comfortable. There is bountiful wildlife around the cabin that was a pleasure to observe
Couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable! The owner provided everything we needed! The location was also in close proximity to Glacier National Park. I would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful property in a peaceful setting. The large wrap around porch and deck was our go to place every morning and evening with plenty of animals and nature watching. Located close to town, but you’d never know it when there. It was a home away from home. Amazing kitchen, we had many great evening meals when we got back from our days of adventuring. This is a special place and we are fortunate to have found it as it made our vacation so memorable.
Our trip was multigenerational. This property is a wonderful respite from a busy day of hiking in GNP. Saw wildlife everyday on the property. Beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need.
We liked everything about it. The location was excellent both in relation to the things we wanted to do and in its seclusion once off the main roads. KC made the check-in and check-out process easy. I arrived ahead of the others in my party so she let me leave my luggage on the porch before going to the airport to pick them up. She permitted the same in reverse on our departure. There were many switches controlling the lights and fans, but all the instructions were clear. The living room area was very spacious as was the kitchen, and well-stocked, too. We only had to shop for food, not coffee filters, dish soap, etc. We ate outside on the deck a few times, too. The cabin was was beautifully landscaped with many flowering plants at or very near full bloom. There were hummingbirds and a robin’s nest with eggs on one of the outside newel posts. It was a wonderful stay for us all and we recommend it to all.
Dark Horse Glen is a wonderful property, and everything was exactly as described in the listing. Our party of 8 (4 adults, 4 kiddos) had plenty of room. The kitchen/dining/living area was very spacious. We especially enjoyed all of the outdoor patio & deck spaces, for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night. Be aware there is only 1 shower, but we knew that going into it so we planned on it. Our kids enjoyed the local wildlife including a very friendly black cat. We took advantage of the grill and all of the kitchen amenities. A quick drive to a large grocery store. Very peaceful; owner is on site but we had all the privacy we needed. A beautiful home!
The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, glasses, cooking utensils etc. lovely deck with comfortable furniture. The gardens were lovely and very much enjoyed the fire pit!
It was soooo scenic and enjoyed the log cabin and decor!!!
The property was exactly how it was seen in the picture. It was an excellent experience.
Pulling up to this property after 8 hours on the road was surreal. Such beautiful architecture and stunning surroundings! There was just the four of us, so this place was ridiculously spacious for us, but we made use of every square inch. The king bed in the loft is dwarfed by the square footage up there! The basement was super-popular with our boys. the 17-year-old chose the cave for his bedroom which had no windows; perfect for sleeping late into the morning. One of the deciding factors for staying here was that it is equipped with heat AND A/C. The temperature was easy to control and kept us all comfortable during some major swings in weather. The main floor has beautiful furnishings, a huge kitchen, and those floor-to-ceiling windows! We couldn't look away. My favorite part of the stay was when I found that the owner had placed all the tools I needed to easily start our campfire on our last evening at the cabin. Very thoughtful of them and much appreciated. By the way, they also provided fantastic coffee beans, Huckleberry jam, and enough graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate for S'mores all week! You will love it here.
