Our cabin is on 11 acres, and we have only one neighbor in the summer only. The cabin is on the side of a private mountain at 1300 feet elevation so there is an entire mountain to hike or snowshoe(all sizes available for your use). Our porch overlooks a brook that passes right by the house. Because it is remote, cell phone service is spotty at the cabin, but you can use WIFI calling or the land line, we stream TV and have a ROKU and smart TV if you have Netflix/Amazon Prime/HULU etc. subscriptions. WiFi is good unless you are streaming and on phones and computers at the same time. There are sleds , snow shoes and snow tubes as well.

The Cabin is 10 minutes from Great Sugar Houses (Maple Syrup Weekend end of March), and Artisan and Dairy Farms (There is a Vermont cheese weekend and the dairy farms give tours). In 20 minutes you can get to Manchester (18 miles), Bromley Mountain is 25 miles, The Norman Rockwell Homestead in Arlington and another terrific general store are about 15-20 minutes away. In Dorset there is a great marble quarry for swimming; about 15-20 minutes.

Saratoga Springs is about 35-40 miles and the drive is not bad if you want to see the horse races or go to the mineral baths.

There are all types of board games and a pool table in the lower level. There is also a laundry room in the lower Level.

The kitchen is fully applianced right down to coffee grinder and garlic press.

Bedroom on the main level has a queen bed, the Lower Level bedroom has two twins and the upstairs bedrooms have 4 twins in each but comfortably sleep two adults in each. Because we are on the side of a mountain, the lower level is a walk out and bedroom has a window.

Our driveway is long and steep, so we recommend an AWD vehicle in the winter months.

We are sure you will enjoy the cabin as much as we do.

Perfect spot for a family get away. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of firewood, newer bathrooms, very clean and comfortable. Pool tables and board games kept everyone happy and entertained.

The cabin was welcoming and immaculate upon our arrival. Tremendous amount of wood outside for use in the fireplace which was a focal point of our stay. It was decorated in a true log cabin style. The kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware, glassware, and cutlery needed for our family of 7. The pool table in the basement provided many hours of happy family entertainment. The staircase up to the second floor was a bit steep and could be a problem for some. There were outdoor winter sporting supplies (Snowshoes, trekking poles, saucers & sled) in the garage. We all took advantage of traversing the snowshoe trails on the property which was a lot of fun. Whenever we had a question the owners were readily available to us even though they were traveling out of the country. A problem arose during our stay but it was handled quickly and completely by the owners. The wealth of information in the guest notes we received prior to arriving were also invaluable in managing the situation. We had a quintessential Vermont winter family vacation complete with several snow falls that added to the magic!

Our stay at this cabin was wonderful. The peaceful, private setting, the beauty of the cabin and its surroundings, the completely stocked kitchen, and the fireplace at night made this a perfect place to stay on our trip to New England. We would definitely stay here again.

Surrounded by beautiful nature, cabin was welcoming and cozy. Steve is a great owner and very caring as well. We were there 7 nights/8days and it rained for 3 days but we found other things to do other than hiking and enjoyed ourselves. Only wish there were ceiling lights in the bedroom and the living room, it is quite dark to read or play games. We would visit this place again.

If you are looking for a quiet, secluded place to get away from it all this is the place for you. Very quaint and relaxing. We enjoyed our time here. It has a babbling brook you can hear from the screened in porch. Good internet connection. Walking trail thru the woods.

This was our 2nd year staying at the cabin. The owner, Steve, was readily available and contacted us to make sure all was good. There was ample firewood and the fireplace is excellent. If you wanna shoot some pool or throw darts, etc. this is the cabin to be in. The kitchen is well stocked. This is a good home base as it’s close to Mt. Snow, for snowmobiling, a few resorts for skiing and any other outdoor activity you’d like to do. If shopping is your forte, Dorset and Manchester are close by. We look forward to visiting Vermont ext year.
