Discover the Rocky Mountains of western Montana from this rustic log cabin, perfectly located in the heart of the Swan Valley. From your porch, take in sweeping views of the Swan Range and the Bob Marshall Wilderness to the east, and the Mission Mountains Wilderness to the west.

Wildlife & Setting
The cabin overlooks a spring-fed pond and wetlands, home to elk, moose, deer, native trout, ducks, geese, great blue herons, and the occasional frog chorus. Grizzlies and black bears also roam the surrounding wilderness, adding to the authentic Montana experience. With dozens of pristine lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and mountain trails nearby, you’ll have endless opportunities for exploration.

Outdoor Recreation
Holland Lake is just six miles away—ideal for hiking to waterfalls, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, horseback riding, or boating. After a day outside, stop by a local watering hole for a Montana brew. In every season, there are adventures to choose from: fly-fishing the Swan River, mountain biking, huckleberry picking, cross-country skiing, hunting, snowmobiling, or heading deeper into the Bob Marshall and Mission Mountains Wilderness areas.

A scenic drive 45 minutes north past Swan Lake leads to Bigfork, a lively town on Flathead Lake with art galleries, breweries, boutiques, music and theater festivals, and lake tours. Glacier National Park and Whitefish Ski Resort are about 1.5 hours to the north, while Seeley Lake—25 minutes south—offers even more recreation, from waterskiing and golfing to birdwatching and holiday festivities.

Comfort & Amenities
Inside, unwind in the cozy living room with log and leather furniture beneath vaulted ceilings, warmed by a wood stove and fireplace. Outside, gather around the firepit under the stars to share stories or roast s’mores.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a hearty mountain meal, with seating for six at the dining table plus counter space. Prefer being outdoors Fire up the charcoal grill and enjoy the picnic tables on site.

The cabin was easy to find. Very clean and large! WiFi was nice to have. We were bummed that the Holland Lake Lodge was not open as it says in the ad. We would have liked to visit it for dinner and rental of paddle boards and kayaks. The beach was neat. If you need to have phone and internet this is probably north best area. But it was kind of nice to unplug for a while.

My partner and I have been staying here for the last 5 years at least once a year, so many good memories! We're from Helena and always make a point to come at least annually. The view and cabin are both so beautiful, we even eloped here in 2020. THANKS SO MUCH!!

We had a fun time. There was a big event at a family members’ cabin nearby so the location was good. I am not a complainer but do feel it’s important for you to know how all three of us felt. It’s a great place but definitely needs upgrades. The grounds are beautiful. Couldn’t use fire pit due to icky weather. The basement was fun for 3 teens that spent one night and enjoyed “BUCK” The tv was really bad the whole time. The vacuum cleaners were very dirty, we were afraid to use thinking they would just blow dirt around, so couldn’t vacuum up the droppings. ? We were surprised that we didn’t hear from anyone, eg caretaker…. for any needs, questions we might have. The telephone service was really bad, but I guess that’s us and our carrier? Beds were fine. Loved the ‘woodsy’ blankets. One major concern was the loose post on the front porch! An accident waiting to happen, especially for older people. We were impressed with how you had everything covered re: kitchen, laundry etc. great in the supplies area! Please, we don’t mean to sound ungratefu!! We just want you to stay successful, and hope this input will be helpful. We would definitely consider it again should we have a need, and I’m sure there can be small improvements made. Thank you for everything Lyndsay ? Oh, btw…… someone said that the original owner was a Frank Jette from Condon. Would you by chance know if that’s true? We have known the family for years. That would be something. Again, thank you

We will be back. The home is very cozy and comfortable. Plenty of towels and blankets, well stocked, great location. Everyone in my party said their bed could have use a mattress topper, but that was the only negative feedback. The view from the back porch is incredible. The visiting kids loved exploring near the pond and even found a treehouse.
