Location, Location, Location!! Emerald Isle Cabin

We had a great time at Emerald Isle Cabin . Everything was exactly as promoted. I was vacationing with my 2 teenage grandsons, son and husband. We even brought our dog. We made good use of the hot tub and fire pit. The cabin was spotless. And the location was perfect. For you hikers, there was a trailhead across the street with a labyrinth of trails. My grandkids and I hiked everyday, exploring the area. I had a question when we arrived. Mark responded within a few minutes of my text and resolved the issue. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I would highly recommend it.

The cabin was perfect for us. Quiet, pretty location close to Bear Mountain, well equipped, good hot tub, charming, and comfortable. We’ll be back!

Cabin is perfect for a family vacation. Check-in was quick and easy. The location is awesome, close to everything. We arrived late and we were cold, tired and hungry. The cabin was warm and inviting, the beds were clean and ready for a wonderful nights sleep. If you arrive late and don't feel like going back out, Domino's delivers.The yard is completely fenced in and is kept up well. Perfect for any one with children and/or fur babies. I noticed one review mentioned taking the trash to the dump site but it is really very simple, and close by, just a couple minutes down the road. It is also a very clean disposal site (I wouldn't even call it a dump) you just drive in toss your bags in one of the bins and drive back out. Then back to the cabin takes less than 10 minutes round trip (and that was with grandma driving). My grandson loved the cabin we stayed at on a previous trip, but he said this one was 10 times better, and I agree. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!

Comfortable and cozy cabin. Location was calm and quiet. My family and I were truly able to relax the seven nights that we were there. Fenced backyard came in handy since we had our dog with us.

Wonderful spot, Great host, Nice neighborhood. Ideal location for hiking and other attractions. Backyard made it easy with the dogs. Zoo within walking distance. Wanted to see fall colors and the location did not disappoint. We will be back. Thank you for a relaxing long weekend.

We had such a relaxing time at the Emerald Isle Cabin, we felt at home from the minute we arrived. The cabin was beautifully appointed and the big kitchen made cooking at the cabin a pleasure. Our host, Mark, was super quick to respond and the apartment manager, Jordin, was very accommodating in allowing us an early check-in as we arrived early to get ahead of adverse weather. The cabin is in a nice, quiet neighborhood yet close to town, restaurants and groceries. But we mostly just enjoyed being at the cabin--so relaxing to sit in front of the fire to read. I am already missing being at the Emerald Isle cabin and truly hope to be able to return soon.

Had a great time great property and location only negative was taking the trash to a dump seems like for the price that would be a cleaning service activity.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was clean and cozy and it had everything we needed and more. Communication with the property manager was great. Checking in and out was easy. Overall, we had a great stay and definitely would stay again.

Couldn't have been happier with our stay. The house was in a nice quiet location yet a short drive to the village. The home itself was very clean, comfortable and everything you would need was provided. Everything was well organized and labeled which made it really easy to operate all the amenities. The hot tub came in handy after taking part in a tough mudder. Also enjoyed the fireplace and a movie while winding down at night. Mark was an awesome host. Super friendly and would respond right away to any questions. We look forward to staying again any time we are in town.

Very clean and very comfortable

Power outages unexpected/unavoidable... Although two nights of outages affected stay! Parking third car in spot told to, then getting possible tow on windshield, with moving even further from cabin wasn't ideal to say the least..

We had a great stay. The location is close to town, but far enough to have a quiet evening sitting by the fire pit listening to the wind go through the trees. We ended up extending our stay and the owner was very accommodating. The place is very comfortable and decorated like an old cabin, which was the vibe we were looking for. Check in was easy.

Lovely home near the golf course and zoo. We stayed in July when temps were above 80 degrees and A/C would have been nice. Lots of ceiling fans and room fans, however not much of a breeze to cool things down. Beds were nice and very firm. The hot tub was a treat! Finally, we brought 2 small dogs who LOVED the backyard. Great place for a group of 4 adults.

Quality Cabin with a totally fenced back yard in Quiet Neighborhood

Cabin is exactly as shown! Lots of board games and outdoor games available. Mark answered all my questions immediately, the only hiccup we encountered was trying to read the house policy and signing before we were given the code, trying to read, sign and send photo id on the road not so easy. Wish they sent policy day before and then given us the code upon our arrival, other than that cabin is in nice quiet area, walking/riding trails steps away. Highly recommend!

it was absolutely stunning and the rules were reasonable and fair we had an amazing stay and the hot tub really tied it all together had lots of fun, very quiet neighborhood and worth the money! the place had everything we needed and more we enjoyed the amenities and the whole house was cozy and clean! 10/10 definitely staying here again

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful, unique cabin. It had everything we needed—hot tub, fire ring, gas grill, plenty of room, tv’s, DVD’s, games, great kitchen with everything we needed to cook, and all the comfort of home. Beds are comfortable, couches comfy too. It was great to be able to bring our dog as well, and we appreciated the completely fenced in yard. The owner, Mark was very responsive and immediately took care of a couple of small issues we had—a DVD player wasn’t working, and he personally drove out and installed and set up a brand new one for us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The cabin is also just a few hundred feet from the bristlecone trail, a really beautiful hiking trail that my wife took our dog on every day. Can’t say enough positive things, thank you, Mark!

We came up hoping to spot the famous eagles and we were lucky and got to see one flying over by their nest area. The cabin bed was so so comfortable, we slept in later then we usually do, loved the little candles and am wondering where you got them. The cabin was so nice and clean. The dogs loved the fenced in backyard. Hopefully we will be back in the near future.

This place is in a great location summer or winter. Great location near all the draws of Big Bear. Golf, Zoo. Skiing, hiking, whatever you desire, all within a few minutes .. and love that quaint cabin feel!

Very warm and cozy has a beautiful fireplace nice open kitchen and very comfortable beds and a spa in the back as well as outdoor festive lights front and back.

The drive up the mountains to get to the cabin was some beautiful 😍 the cabin at night was so nice to be at my family love it.

There is so much we want to say about this property but can not get it within the 100 characters they give us. This property is truly a home away from home. Anything and everything you need. The cabin is clean and welcoming. Beautifully decorated. Comfortable furniture. Beds just kind of absorb you and you don't want to get up in the morning. The owners are responsible and friendly. They communicate quickly and professionally. They answered all questions completely and were right on top of anything we needed. We brought things we never thought we would find in an VRBO like a mixer to make brownies, large baking pans, a blender to make margaritas, tin foil, baggies, shampoo, conditioner and soap. They have plates and bowls, cups and glasses for all sorts of drinks. Lots of towels. We quickly found out that we needn't have bothered to bring most of what we brought. Again everything we could have possible needed was there. There is a fire pit and jacuzzi, fun indoor and outdoor games. A large picnic table and clean bbq. Well manicured front and back yard. We have been to Big Bear 4 times in the past year and we have now found our home away from home. We will come back without a doubt and we will recommend it to family and friends.

We had such a wonderful time at the cabin. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early because of the Line Fire and the smoke. They did a great job supplying anything that you may need. Will definitely be back.

We had an incredible stay here. Very relaxing! Extremely clean cabin! Great location! Loved all the tress surrounding cabin. Enjoyed the jacuzzi at night and firepit!!!! Woukd definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Emerald Isle. It was clean & quiet (aside from some of fhe neighbor's dogs), & had everything we needed. Loved being so close to the Bristlecone trail, the Zoo & the conveniences of Big Bear Blvd. Will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I, along with our pets really enjoyed our stay. It was our first time coming to Big Bear Lake, and the property was conveniently located to get to where we wanted to go. The cabin itself is clean, well equipped, and quiet. There’s a trail nearby that is great to walk the dog (literally 500 feet). The host was awesome! 5 star stay!

As fourth time annual Big Bear short term renters, our party found this rental very satisfactory and well equipped for a home away from home experience. The kitchen has everything we could have conceived of needing for a week's stay (or even longer), including aluminum foil! There was a large variety of flavored kcups for the machine, coffee grounds for the maker, adequate cook and dishware, board games, a stand up fan for the guest bedroom with the two bunk beds (it's the only bedroom without an overhead fan), you name it this place has it (except A/C, which we really could have used the week we visited, but that's a Bear Valley-wide issue.) The decor is very cozy, homey and really fits in with the mountain/ski resort environment. Even with the fact that it's a dog friendly rental, we couldn't find ANY evidence of previous dogs' leavings on the property anywhere, which hasn't always been the case with other rentals. The one concern I did come across was that the front/guest bathroom shower stall wasn't up to my personal cleanliness standards upon check in. As I found hairs/whiskers and shampoo and soap residue remaining on the shower walls, and the tub basin didn't look clean (what looked to be evidence of dirty footprints and a light brown ring around the inside of the tub), so I decided to use the master bathroom shower instead. Honestly that is the ONLY negative thing I could report about our stay. Definitely recommend!
