One of the cleanest rentals that I have ever experienced. The hosts were informative and eager to help us with anything on our stay. They even helped us to jump one of our cars that was dead. It was relaxing, safe and quiet. We had many things to do on our rental with the toys they provided. I cannot wait to return with my husband!
Quaint little cabin on the lake. Very quiet and relaxing location. We used this as a home base while we went hiking in the Garden of the Gods wilderness. We hiked the Indian Point Trail and had great bluff views and clear weather for picture taking.
It was so relaxing to be able to sit outside on the deck of this cabin and overlook the lake below. You can swim off of the dock or make use of the canoe and kayaks that are available. There is also an additional stargazing deck that is right on the water. The cabin itself was cozy and well maintained; the owners were welcoming and live right next door. They made sure to check in with us and were able to offer suggestions about places to visit in the area. We were also very pleased with the location. Most of the wineries were less than an hour away, and Garden of the Gods as well as the Rim Rock Recreation Area were about an hour to the east. Ferne Clyffe State Park was very close, and Giant City State Park was about half an hour away. All of these areas are great for hiking. It was really fun to spend the day hiking and visiting the wineries and then having the evening to relax in the lake or by the fire at the cabin. We spent three nights here and I would highly recommend the Little Moon Tiny Lakefront Cabin as a fun and relaxing getaway!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Red Roof Cabin and we will be back!
Matt and Kris were promptly responsive and accessible for anything we needed. Cupcakes and a birthday card were thoughtfully left in the cabin for my husband’s birthday, along with a basket of snacks and s’mores supplies. The property is well maintained and had just received a fresh porch staining when we arrived. The grill was easy to use and the shower was TO DIE FOR. It is directly on the lake, but be mindful that the walk back up the hill can be taxing depending on your ability. The peninsula was excellent for having a great time on the lake and letting our lab swim. We’ve never stayed someone more than once, but we’re strongly considering staying here again.
Both my husband and myself enjoyed ourselves . The cabin was very clean and definitely cozy . The hosts were very nice people and glad we got the opportunity to meet them and chat a little bit . I loved all the deer we saw on a daily basis , granted our doggies didn’t know what to think ! The lake is gorgeous and it’s so peaceful and quiet out there. We would definitely stay again .
This property was so great to stay at. My significant other and I were very impressed, we used the fire pit, canoe, outdoor shower, and all amenities provided inside the cabin. The bugs were bad the first day but that was after it had rained, the next day we stayed out until 10 or 11am doing s’mores and there were barely any bugs at the campfire and the cabin porch. The owners also provide firewood and fire starter. The coffee maker/microwave oven stopped working for us but the owners said they will replace it! Also the outdoor shower ran out of gas for hot water at the end of our shower. The owners even offered to have someone stop by to drop off anything else we needed. The owners also provided marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers, and roasting sticks to put the marshmallows on. Not including the other snacks and goodies! It’s a small place, so I personally would only make it a romantic getaway!
I booked this cabin as a last minute getaway. It was exactly what I needed! Would definitely stay again!!
As described the cabin is tiny, but comfortable. Kris the host was readily available and offered good information on different activities nearby. Had a great time!
incredibly cute and cozy cabin with all the necessities on a lake
We had a lovely stay. For a tiny cabin, it's incredibly well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. Kris was kind and responsive. We appreciated all the little touches - thank you!
I can sum it up in one word simply AWESOME.
Everything was great. The hosts were very friendly.
Such a wonderful and cozy cabin! Dog friendly! It’s a perfect getaway. The host hospitality is amazing. Definitely booking again
Exactly as described. Such a nice view of the lake and hubby could just go down to the dock and fish. Outdoor shower was fun and the water was really warm. Close to state parks for hiking. Got an idea for a sliding barn door for my house from there. A lovely stay
Only on the area for a couple days and it was a perfect glamping experience. It was nice to have all the lake toys available, even though we were just about relaxing this time. Beautiful to see the fall colors on the lake rather than be in a noisy hotel.
Easy check in, amazing hosts, and spectacular view!
Stars were fantastic, very quiet
This was an AMAZING weekend trip with my husband and our dog. We searched for a tiny cabin on a lake and found this place and booked it. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Our dog loved it as well! Super cute place, clean, and perfect location. We will 100% be back again. We also rented a pontoon for the day and the company dropped it right off at our dock. 10/10 reccomend!
Exceptionally clean lodging, such a beautiful property with absolute privacy, and an owner whom it was a pleasure to meet and work with. My husband and I felt welcomed immediately, and very much enjoyed our stay. It was an absolute pleasure, and we would love to return. An A++!
We (including our pup) really enjoyed our stay at the Little Moon cabin. It was a perfect, quiet escape for a weekend. Everything went smooth and the hosts were super responsive. Would recommend and hope to be back soon.
My husband and I just wanted a couple of days away to relax and this was perfect for us! Cute and cozy with a fantastic view and peaceful atmosphere. They provided a clean and comfortable space to stay, water activities we could use on the lake, firepit, and even some snacks. More than we even expected for how reasonably priced it was. Thanks for a great time!
