We are located on the upper White River between the Bull Shoals Dam and Gaston’s Resort, next to the #1 state park in Arkansas in the breathtaking Ozark Mountains, just 90 miles from Branson, Missouri. Blanchard Springs Caverns is about 90 minutes away. If you’ve never been in a cave—this is a beautiful experience.
Then it’s time to journey to the dock to catch that trophy fish.
The solar lit private secluded dock (for Rivercliff’s guests only) and the river are at the end of our long driveway. It is a refreshing walk anytime of the day. The river water stays a constant temperature of 47 degrees year round, so in the summer months you will be much cooler near the river so come in August to avoid the heat near your home.
The White River is home to the wintering bald eagle. Which you should flying above the river. Expect to see Canadian geese floating down river and deer on our property,
We supply everything you need for a fantastic experience except for your fishing gear, clothes, and consumables. You may rent our boats or kayaks (on property) OR bring your own. If fly fishing is your thing, we suggest using our private boat ramp where you can launch your own boat. Or you can just catch a trophy trout right off our secluded solar lit private dock. Fishing is open year around, and the White River is a famous blue-ribbon trout fishing location written up in Field and Stream magazine and is noted for the world record brown trout of 34 lbs. We have an outstanding fishing guide at your request, simply pay a $100 non refundable deposit to book your trip. Then the rest can be paid upon arrival to the resort.
Enjoy the morning fog that quickly dissipates on the river and the crystal clear clean waters of the White River. There are so many things to do, such as, fishing, watching the wildlife, relaxing, renting a boat or kayak, going out with our river guide, going hiking, or just sitting on the deck, reading a good book.
Forget something No problem. Bull Shoals is 1.5 miles away, and Walmart is 13 miles away.
This is a fisherman’s cabin with an open floor plan. 190 FT from the river’s edge. Your raised deck has views of the White River as you drink your morning coffee.

Very nice and comfortable cabin which was perfect for us and our two dogs! Attractive furnishings, comfy beds and a well-equipped kitchen make it very pleasant. Our dogs appreciated the fenced enclosure which they had a good time exploring. We love being by the river and it’s just a short walk further down the driveway to the water and the fishing dock. The fire pit area with Adirondack chairs was great for relaxing and we liked the couch and big TV indoors. Proximity of this cabin to Gaston’s restaurant is a huge plus - their Sunday brunch especially is not to be missed. Thank you for another excellent, relaxing and fun Rivercliff stay, Walter & Lindsey!

Some people can only dream of owning property in some of the most beautiful places in our country. I don’t understand why a property owner wouldn’t appreciate it enough to take care of it. The entire place was in disrepair. The pictures on the listing do not properly represent the property. The boat dock is disgusting. Broken and missing bulbs, trash, damage, and overtaken by cobwebs. We were going to rent a boat but were skeptical due to the overall lack of maintenance. In the home, the bathroom rug was dirty. The towels did not appear clean. There were dirty sheets on the floor in the closet and what was maybe (?) clean sheets crumpled up in a ball stuffed in the closet. Things were all jumbled and thrown in the closet and in the kitchen cabinets. No organization. Dirty towel on top of the refrigerator and debris under the beds. Makes you wonder if anything had actually been cleaned. I wiped the trashcan down because it was covered in filth. If you sit outside around the fire pit, your view is of a garage behind the home with a big open bay with no door. So you get to look at a garage chocked full of junk. The fire pit was full of cigarette butts. The owner was on site starting a new project of building another garage. Thinking of the money we spent to stay there, it’s disheartening to see that and it feels a bit taken advantage of to be honest. Sad to think of someone who may rarely get to take a vacation book this place and this is what they get.

My 94 year old grandma also came to visit and was sitting in one of the wooden lounge chairs. She has a hard time getting out of low laying chairs. As she was using the arm of the chair to push off to get out of the chair, it broke the arm right off. It clearly showed wood rot on the chair. Which I would assume they know about considering there was 3 boxes of unopened brand new chairs sitting on the front porch of the cabin. There was an automatic air freshener on the wall that would spray every few hours. It was loud enough to wake us at night. Overall the cabin seemed clean but did have air fresheners everywhere so that was a bit strong on the nose if sensitive to scents. Does list you have a private dock. You do have to share with other cabin rental guests and they run a rental boat/kayak business there and they have access to the dock. We were there during winter but could see where it would be busy during prime fishing season.

Photos were a bit misleading. Thought we would be next to the river. Accommodations were smaller than expected, but adequate. But we were expecting a larger cabin. Communications with the host were excellent. Fishing was great, and the dock was helpful, but we thought we would have a slip available. Reasonably priced.

While we did not take a guided fishing trip, the guide was so helpful giving us tips to try from the dock and showing us new methods. Entire staff and experience was excellent!

Lived in the area as a child and fished during summers after I moved away all up and down this part of the river. Learned the love of trout fishing here. We only had 1 night as we passed through, so I needed something close to the water with easy access. He caught a 21 Brown in less than 1 hour of fishing. Mission accomplished on all requirements!!!

Stayed 2 nights in mid-November. Access to the White river and private boat ramp were the 2 biggest assets. The cabin was as advertised. The on-site property manager was very helpful and communicated well. We had a problem with house flies entering the cabin while we were there. It was a warm 2 days so maybe that contributed but there were dozens of house flies and more kept coming in. The cabin was clean so I don't think that was the problem, but they were getting in somehow. Fly swatters, fly tape, and fly spray all helped. I'd give it another chance because the positives outweighed the flies and may have been weather related.

Very cool little cabin, it was well kept and clean. Just a short walk to the river and lots around the area to check out. Fishing was kinda rough on the dock but thats more my fault haha. We did catch some fish though, loved watching the Bald Eagles flying around! Cant wait to see what the new cabins are going to look like. Kurt
