Lexington - Lake Huron - Large Log Home - Sandy Beach/Sunrise

Lovely!

This was our 2nd stay here. We really enjoyed it. The place is perfect for a big group. The only issue we had was a bat flying around the house on Saturday night and when I messaged the owner I didn't hear back until the next morning. I'm not sure what he could have done about it any ways, but it would have been nice to hear something. The place is very clean and very stocked with everything you can possibly need. We did wish there were a few more extra blankets just because it was cold, but we survived. We are definitely planning to come back again! This place is perfect for our girls weekend.

We had our family Christmas gathering at this property and it was a perfect location.

We had a fabulous time enjoying the beautiful log home that was very well stocked and very clean and of course the beach!It would have been helpful to have some chairs readily available to sit on the beach as many of our family members are older and getting them from the basement was challenging. We're thankful the guests in the red house brought two down for us. Also there was poison ivy in the brush and were grateful the guests in the red house informed us about it as the little kids would have played there. A sign might be helpful.Also, it would be helpful to have handicap bars in the showers, again for older individuals.We were surprised the beds were not made and not all of the appropriate sheets were in the proper bedrooms. Luckily we noticed a set of queen sheets were missing and we had a family member bring a set from home.All of our family commented on the beautiful home and surroundings which enhanced our stay.

Everything was perfect. One of the best views you can have on Lake Huron. Would love to come stay again. Great house.

The view and sunrises were beautiful. The home accommodated our 3-generational family of 16 very well. This was the best-stocked kitchen we've had in our 12 years of vacation rentals. The beach was large and sandy, but swim shoes are recommended for entering the water's edge to swim due to stones. Easy path to bring down our kayaks for boating. If your family has little ones under 3, bring a wide gait for the 2nd-story staircase.

Very nice house, beach, and overall accommodations! The view is killer perfect!!! Nice beach and sandbars which we all enjoyed. Great BBQ grill. Everything was nice and clean.Recommend: -Need a new can opener - we found 2 there and both were just old and not working correctly. -One of the log end tables in the living room - a leg was not secured and fell off. We put it back on but needed tools that we did not have.-Recommend a separate air conditioner unit for the upstairs - was a little warm for our kids / grand kids up there. OR, you could install split units in the upstairs bedrooms.

We had a wonderful week at the Log Home. The weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy the beach everyday. We would definitely rent this home again.Peter addressed our one concern immediately.

We have 4 daughters and 8 grandchildren. We have been renting a large house each summer to have everyone together. Our most recent stay this last week on Lake Huron has been wonderful! The house is spacious, well stocked, and comfortable for everyone. We loved it and have already booked again next year.

Check in and check out were easy. Family enjoyed the sun rises, searching for Petoskey stones and relaxing. Neighbors were very friendly. House was clean and contacting the host was very easy.

Great site and beach!

Beautiful cottage with all the amenities....needs a bar in upstairs bathroom for ease of getting in and out was my only complaint....oh, and better weather would have been wonderful, but we still had a great time!!!! Next year we'll plan later in the season - July or August.

This place was perfect for our family reunion! Plenty of space to spread out and beautiful views and weather!

Everything you could ask for in a lake front rental. Kitchen set up an equipment was great. Everyone had a lovely time.

Our staff was amazing! I brought my staff here for a staff retreat! We had mediation, a yoga instructor. The weather was amazing. The cabin was so clean and nice! Everyone loved it. They already asking when can we do this again! They want to visit the same cabin! We will be back! Peter is the best host ever!

The property was beautiful, the property manager was kind and very responsive. We felt at home and it was the perfect, peaceful get away! Can’t wait to plan my next visit back at the log cabin!

Had a group of 10 for a little winter getaway. Home accommodate all our needs. Large kitchen with plenty of counter space and huge table for meals and playing cards/ games. Beautiful great room with fireplace which was much enjoyed Also all five rooms had a king size bed andadditional beds , host answers text very promptly. Would definitely recommend it would book again.

This place is a VIBE. My group and I were amazed at the amenities, the house itself, and the gorgeous views! Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, and plenty to do. All weekend long several guests commented that we’ve GOT to return to this place again next year. Host is very responsive and helpful.

The property was excellent, and the check-in/check-out process was very convenient. We anticipate making further bookings during the summer.

Very clean and fantastic views of Lake Huron

Property was well kept. Very clean, linens and towels were well stocked. We noticed updates to the property. Peter has always been very timely in his responses.

Everything was incredible! Plenty of room for our family of 22. Nice rec room area in basement and rooms were very comfortable. All the amenities to satisfy a very diverse group. Don't forget to stroll the beach and collect some cool rocks to autograph for the rock garden! The only improvement I can suggest is that you update the room/bed layout for the listing as it was a bit different then described. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place!!

We had a wonderful time! The house was clean and comfortable! We were just there in October, so too chilly to enjoy the lake, but would love to go back in the summer! The lake was still beautiful and the sunrise each morning was breathtaking! Would recommend this property to anyone!

Great house for a large crowd. Big kitchen and very well stocked. Fantastic beach

We had a wonderful time in '23, so came right home and booked it for '24. Our family is Mom (me), 4 adult children and spouses, 9 grandchildren, and a couple of significant other drop-ins. Wonderful beach and water day Saturday, and a very sunny, breezy, white caps day on Sunday. My 6 year old grandson cried when we all left.

Our family stayed here for a few days with our friends and their kids. The cabin is very spacious and the woodwork is beautiful. The views are amazing and being right on the water is so convenient. We swam everyday and took small beach walks. We also ventured over to Port Huron to tour the lighthouse. It was a fun getaway and I would definitely recommend! The property manager was also easy to contact. Our only complaints would be that the back deck had a lot of spiders so none of us felt comfortable sitting out there and the microwave didn’t work.

We were on a family vacation. Each family had their own room and were impressed with the amount of sleeping accommodations. The last night it rained early and the basement pool table and foosball table were welcome entertainment. The fire pit was utilized every night. Of course, the beach kept the little ones busy. Throwing stones and building sand castles. Even their parents enjoyed using their paddle boards, taking the little ones for rides and checking out the other homes and beaches from the water. It was a wonderful 2024 family vacation!

This is our second year coming to the ‘Large Log House’ for our annual extended family reunion. Great place to keep everyone entertained. Host is very responsive. We are looking forward to coming back again next year!! Only complaint is that the Wi-Fi is spotty-could benefit from a booster but it’s not a big deal since the goal is to unplug, right?
