Stayed Jul 31, 2025From time we pulled into the driveway, which was nice to have such a big area to park and turn around in, till we pulled out, we enjoyed our stay at Lazy Bear Cottage!! One of the best kitchens providing PLENTY of dishes & pots and pans, etc,,, We also like that ALL floors had their own bathroom. The dart board was used a lot !! 1 complaint was the bottom floor was very warm and stuffy!! Said it really needed a ceiling fan in the rooms !! Luckily my son had a small fan he had brought with him, said it helped! 2.They also said the sliding door curtains on bottom floor were about ready to fall down because of the curtain rod not heavy enough to hold the weight !!

Stayed Jun 6, 2025Great place. Very peaceful. There are plenty of towels and blankets, which I appreciate. The host does need to purchase new chairs out back by the fire pit, because this are is super great. We saw three deer and a wild turkey every morning and many evenings. We even saw a huge woodpecker. Just lovely. We didn’t see bear; prayer answered lol. It was a nice stay. Conveniently located to Helen, not too close not too far.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Everything was clean and fully stocked. Fire pit out back was so fun to make s’mores with the kids. Plenty of games and activity tables. Gas fireplace was warm and cozy. I highly recommend staying here.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This cabin is located in a great location with easy access to Helen and surrounding sights with lots of hiking trails. It is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, coffee makers, and kitchen utensils. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner who is a super host. He goes beyond to make sure his guests have everything they need. The cabin is clean and well maintained. We do plan to stay here again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The property was just what my family needed. Spacing was great for our crew of 6-8. Kids enjoyed the creek being right at us. Firepit was great for smores! We all loved the hot tub. Property was near all attractions and Helen.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The cabin was very nice and had everything you would need and was close to everything! I loved how it had plenty of gaming tables and game options to help entertain during the evenings or downtime. The hot tub was great to soak in after spending a day in town or hiking! The best feature in this rental was the shampoo and bodywash in every shower! Wish that was normal in every rental, made it so nice and easy! Only 10 minutes from helen and close to so many hiking trips and falls. Never seen much wildlife but a bear did get into one of the trashcans one night. Even had it strapped shut but it drug it away and broke it enough to get in. Was cool that one was near at least. Loved the screened in porches on top and bottom, that was a huge addition to this place! Loved sitting out back and watching and listening to the creek flow and never getting ate up by bugs. The only downfall to the place was the 1/2 mile drive off the hwy. About a 1/4 of it was rough and gravel on a steep incline. Made it up every time at least though. That and the 12 drip coffee maker didn't work well. Recommend 10/10
