Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was one of our best cabin trips yet! This cabin is about 25 minutes from town, and that’s exactly what we needed this weekend! We were lucky to see a momma bear & 2 cubs on the property, watched from the back deck while the babies climbed a tree! We found a few really unique places near the cabin - a winery w/ amazing views, a mushroom house & a sheep farm! The cabin has everything you need to bring your pup, including a big basket of toys. We will definitely stay at this cabin again.

Reviewer Comments: Having rented a different cabin on that mountain before, we knew how tricky the drive could be in the dark and during rainstorms so we shopped for groceries at Ingle’s before checking in. This cabin, our 9th, turned out to be the most well-appointed one we have rented. The owners very generously supplied all of the kitchen equipment you could need. I never needed to use the knives and saute pan that I always bring with us. The only problem for us and our smaller dogs were the high beds though they were very comfortable. If you want peace and quiet, this is one of the nicer places to get that. We enjoyed pizza from Cucinella’s in Blue Ridge and stocking up on our favorite beef and Berkshire pork at Mountain Valley Farm. Did I mention how beautiful and roomy the kitchen is?

The beds are very high and require small step to get into the beds. The downstairs bed is also very squeaky.We had a lot of trouble accessing the TV thru YouTube as we don't have a YouTube account and although NetFlix was available, we weren't able to log in with our credentials.Lastly, the gas stove igniters would continuously run when you lit one of the burners and never shut off until you turned off the burner which was quite annoying. this needs to be repaired if not already done.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed every minute of our time at LOL. The drive was exciting, bumpy, & steep- but totally worth it. The cabin was beautiful & so well equipped for people like me & my mom who didn't plan to leave for the whole trip. The grill worked great & we had many meals prepared on it. The kitchen was very well stocked- & we love to cook. They had multiple coffee makers including a Keurig, we had brought our own but we didn't need to unpack it :) They also had a blender, which I don't find often in the cabins I rent. The beds, although high, were very comfortable & stools were provided for getting in & out of them. The best thing about the cabin was how well suited it was for our dogs! The fenced in yard was great, it came with a large crate, with a crate pad, a dog bed that one of our Dachshunds loved, food & water bowls a plenty, & a basket overflowing with toys. Our pups might've had more fun than we did. We would love to come back in the winter to enjoy the hot tub & outdoor fire pit (which we did start & it was easy). All in All out Fourth of July at LOL was wonderful, although far too short lived. We can't wait to get back!

We went hiking a couple of times with our dog (who loved it also) and spent the rest of the time in the hot tub and around the fire pit.

Loved waking up to the sounds of the mountain and creek below. We were able to enjoy the downtown Ellijay, Amicalola State park as well as a drive over to Dahlonega. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Laurel Overlook was a lovely peaceful cabin for us and our three pups. Our pups loved the dog toys, the treats, and the fenced in yard. The cabin was appointed beautifully. It was very clean and comfortable. We all felt at home. The back porch was where we spent most of our time beautiful view of the mountain trees. We could not use the screened in upstairs porch because the dogs do not do multiple steps, so bug spray was a must for me! Although we didn’t use the hot tub area, it was very inviting. The road getting up to the cabin was a bit difficult but we made it without incident. Loved the seclusion! We will definitely be back.
