Laurel Mist, A Family Sized Nature Lovers Retreat!!

We didn’t get to stay this time due to sickness but Cyndie has always been accommodating and we will stay again!

Cabin was very nice and suited our needs. It was clean and everything was as advertised. We saw a deer about 20 feet away from the deck while we had coffee one morning.

I can’t count the many times we’ve stayed here. Always a pleasure and looking forward to many more trips to this cabin

My husband and I have been visiting our Smoky Mountains for the past 25 years of our marriage. We have stayed in nine of the cabins in Sequoia Village. We both agree that Laurel Mist is our favorite. We appreciated the cleanliness, and attention to detail. The nigh lights and hand soap provided were a nice addition as we bring our own. The addition of the bedroom and its placement in this cabin were well thought out. The pricing is comparable to other cabins. Cindy was pleasant to work with. We look forward to visiting Laurel Mist in future visits. Thank you and blessed day!

My favorite place to stay in the Townsend area. Very clean, cozy, well kept cabin. Everything you need is there. It was my 4th time staying here and I can’t wait to return. Laurel Mist is top notch.

This was our 8th stay in Laurel Mist since 2022.The cabin is like a second home to us. It is always clean and the location is wonderful.Area is quiet and feels secluded although there are cabins nearby. We hope to go again in 2026!

The cabin was well-equipped and the perfect size for us. We so appreciated that our dog was welcome, too. The inside of the cabin was clean, but there was a musty odor under the sinks and in the closet/laundry room. The windows and screens were quite dirty as well. Otherwise, the cabin was lovely and comfortable, and the neighborhood was peaceful and pretty. We enjoyed our time in Townsend.

The cabin was amazing! It was the perfect size for us. Loved having the half bath. Nicest cabin we've ever stayed in. Clean, quiet and just so awesome. We'd definitely stay here again if we return to Townsend, TN. Highly recommend! We were there Monday, Sept 29 and checked out on Friday, Oct 3 2025.

Very relaxing!

We loved the cozy cabin and it was so comfortable. Everything we needed for a week in the Smokies. The location was convenient for the Cade’s Cove side of the park. A lovely setting- quiet and peaceful. Would absolutely stay here on another trip!

Well, it was my 35th wedding anniversary and we loved it! Unfortunately, my husband passed. It left me with some great memories. Owner very kind and respectful, cabin super clean and spacious. My husband fell asleep on that covered screened porch several times.

We enjoyed staying at Laurel Mist. The cabin is very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. We saw some deer come through. We had a very restful stay.

The cabin was great. Had everything we needed. The mattress was very comfortable. Was easy to get to in a quiet neighborhood. Screen porch was great to sit on in the morning and evening. We saw a bear, 2 deer and a coyote near by. Cyndi was easy to communicate with starting with approval to bring our pet all the way through check-out.

A great stay at an exceptional cabin. We have stayed here many times and will return.

We loved the cabin and location however there were a few issues that should be easily remedied. We battled ants in the kitchen all week. Even though we bought spray there were always more appearing. The light in the laundry/closet only worked sometimes. The screened in porch would have been wonderful except for spider webs so we did not utilize it.We were refunded 100 for our inconvenience, which we appreciated.

The property was perfect!

It was great. Just a few pesky ants in the kitchen and I believe the half bath exhaust fan leaked when it rain. We enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable, cozy and quiet.

On the drive into Townsend there’s a sign that says “the peaceful side of the Smokey’s” and I couldn’t sum it up any better. The cabin is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood filled with woods and wildlife. We saw a bear from our cabin and on the drive in. The cabin was exactly as described, clean, and comfortable. It took us about 30 minutes to get to Cade’s Cove from the cabin. We look forward to staying again.

The cabin’s beautiful, peaceful setting—completely secluded among the trees—made our stay feel like a true woodland retreat. The location is perfect if you love nature and wildlife. We saw Deer up close daily.We did run into a few issues:The French doors to the patio were stiff and hard to open or close, likely due to a roof leak above them when it rains.The bed was firmer than expected, making it tough to get comfortable (a 3 mattress topper from Walmart solved the problem for us).The metal patio chairs were uncomfortable, so we ended up sitting on pillows.The igniter on the grill doesn't work, so remember to bring something to light the grill if you plan on grilling.With a little TLC, this cabin would be an absolute gem.

We enjoyed the cabin and the location was perfect. The kitchen had everything that we needed. The living area was very relaxing. We would visit again!

Our stay was wonderful. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The setting was beautiful. I would recommend it to others.

We just had a few days to sneak away and regretted not taking more time after discovering this peaceful cabin to relax and recharge. They provided all the comforts or home and honestly could live on the screened in porch. Close to many restaurants providing home cooking without the large crowd. Drive in was smooth and paved to the door, unlike many cabins in that area.

Cute cabin nestled in the woods. Real quiet, very comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower and very comfortable seating in living room.

this property was very beautiful clean well taken care of we liked the location relativity easy to get to, we have stayed in Gatlinburg area on previous trips, the Townsend side is much quieter and less busy

We had a very pleasant stay at the Laurel Mist cabin. It is on a beautiful, wooded lot. It feels private and secluded, but is conveniently located by nearby attractions.

The neighborhood is very quiet and the cabin has everything you need for the feel at home feel.

Laurel Mist is like going home…we feel at home when we walk through the door. It is always clean, cozy and comfortable. The serene and peaceful surroundings make it difficult to leave.Our dog even feels at home. We have stayed numerous times and will be back!

Very nice cabin, perfect for the two of us and our dog. Hard to find a cabin that is priced for our small group with a great location and all the amenities that make a cabin stay so much more relaxing than a hotel stay. Well-furnished and comfortable. Great location, convenient for visiting the GSMNP and also points west. We hope to return next year while attending a reoccurring annual event.

The cabin was clean and well stocked . Having a bath & half was wonderful! Good pressure & hot water in the shower.We loved sitting on the screened porch having coffee and listening to the many birds singing in the mornings. Short distance to the cades cove. Cyndi is a awesome host!

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this property. It was very clean and comfortable for the two of us. Excellent location and no steep driveway! We had a great time hiking at nearby Cades Cove and Spruce Flat Falls. Great stay and look forward to returning to Townsend!

Nice amenities, even though I didn't need all of them. Convenient to the town. Loved the fire place. Liked sitting on the porch, but the door was a little hard to open/close. Amazing night sky for the night of a lunar eclipse. Driving through a golf course was fine, but not the most inspiring thing, although the area surrounding the cabin felt nice and secluded. Very quiet. Overall, a peaceful place for a last-minute solo trip.

We have stayed here multiple times with our pets. The host is great and as always communicates promptly. We have also stayed at one of her other properties and is was just as good.

This cabin was very appealing, inside and out. Clean, well supplied, with great attention to detail. We have rented from this owner for many years, and she has always been very caring and responsive. We plan to keep working with her!

Laurel Mist is a great cabin. And, Townsend is a relaxing and friendly place to visit. We will be back!

Needs a little more of deep cleaning. Carpet in laundry room was nasty, oven mitt was dirty with crusty food. Overall peace and quiet. Furniture is very uncomfortable. Recliner is not good. Light switches didnt work.

Cabin was very clean, comfortable and stocked with all the necessary linens, cleaning supplies, and paper goods. Exactly as represented in the photos. Checking in & out was a breeze. This is the second cabin we have rented with Cyndie.

Great location only 10 minutes from the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Paved driveway with a turnaround for your vehicle. Only three steps to enter the cabin and a floodlit yard. Both made it easy to get our older dog out at any time of day. Three-season screened porch was lovey.

This was our sixth stay in this cabin and probably won’t be our last! What else can I say?!

Very nice cabin in a secluded location, while there are several other cabins nearby they are fair enough away that you have good privacy. Inside the cabin is laid out very comfortably with all the basic needs. We would definitely stay again...

My husband & I stay @ Laurel Mist every time we come & absolutely love it. It is secluded, but yet very easy to get to where ever you want to go.

A secluded charming cabin in a very quiet area yet super close to the Smoky Mountains, Cades Cove, the Parkway and for activities on the Little River. Laurel Mist is a very homey, clean, comfy cabin cabin to relax in after a busy day

Very nice and well-stocked cabin. We enjoyed our stay. I would like to point out that this is in the woods, so there are a lot of spiders around the exterior of the house (didn't see any inside though) with webs in all the windows which may be an issue for some people.
