Laurel Cabin is romantic, cozy and all around perfect for couples!

I sent the below list of problems 4 days ago to the cabin mgt in hopes I would help them understand and rectify the problems for future customers. I did not get a response. This stay was not good. No smoke detector is dangerous. I have pics to back up my statements. The smoke detector backing was on the wall but the smoke detector was not present. The toilet did not flush properly. I took the lid off the tank to check for chain issue. The mechanics inside the tank are extremely old and rusted. Towels were not adequate for showers and hot tub use. The Hot tub cover is too small to cover the tub adequately and in very bad repair. Head rests in hot tub missing or in bad repair. Blinds are in very bad repair with parts of slats broken or missing. WI-FI extremely weak and very spotty As more guests arrived the WIFI got worse. Paint peeling on railing and steps Drain cover in shower not connected; underneath is not clean. The rug in the bathroom was so worn and dirty; I put it on back porch The rug in kitchen rolled up or moved; a fall potential. Handle on stove broken/partially gone. Pans were not clean. I’ve stayed at many cabins and found this cabin to be very sub standard.

Loved the cabin! Clean, nice interior. Private location. I would definitely stay here again!

The cabin is as described. Comfy bed, cozy kitchen / living room area. The hot tub was perfect and just wha we needed after a day of hiking and exploring. My husband and I love the area and will be back. Thanks, Carolyn

Cabin was exactly as pictured, very private and super clean. We stayed 4 nights and visited the NR Gorge which is spectacular to see. Make sure to go all the way to the bottom of the gorge where there is a small bridge you can walk across and the best place to photograph the actual bridge. We were also able to see people on rafts floating the river and going across the rapids. The cabin was in close proximity to Gauley Bridge, Ansted (lots of history + Cathedral waterfall), Hawk’s Nest park, Summerville Lake, and the adorable town of Fayetteville. We used the grill on the back deck to cook every night and the kitchen was stocked with enough cookware/dishes to prepare our meals. Lots of deer around the cabin so get your camera ready. Loved the big hot tub! Very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this cabin.

It was the PERFECT 5 year anni getaway. Great amenities, secluded but still close enough to all of the local attractions. We loved every second of our trip/stay.

Very pretty nature setting, close to Fayetteville and the beautiful New River Gorge National Park. Cabin was nicely appointed but modest. We would stay here in the Country Roads Cabins again.

We loved the isolation and all the amenities we needed. The king bed was perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. I am in a very fast pace line of work (oilfield and gas). We were absolutely thrilled with the location to the different adventures we had planned ( fishing, whitewater rafting and boating). The kitchen had all the necessary equipment to prepare a five course meal. The sunset was amazing as we viewed it from the private hot tub on the back porch. The staff was very attentive to our every need. I highly recommend this cabin and any cabin associated with this organization.
