The cabin was absolutely stunning as was the property. The perfect place to relax and unwind. They had everything you could need and it was very clean. It felt like home the minute we walked in and we didn't want to leave when our stay was over. We'll definitely be back.

We had a getaway with our friends and the property was absolutely beautiful and perfect for us. Outside of the beds being a bit more on the firm side, we enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again. In fact, my husband loved it so much he wished it was ours lol. The owner was easy to reach and communicated with us perfectly. We highly recommend this property.

Had a great 1 night stay at this cabin. Group of 6 adults it was nice for each couple to have their own bathroom - even being up in the loft still felt private from the other rooms. Kitchen was well equipped! plenty of linens and everything was very clean! would definitely recommend for anyone traveling around Hocking Hills

We highly recommend your family stay at Black Bear Cabin. It was great, everything was clean and nice. The kids loved the hot tub especially on a chilly night, and the host was highly responsive and helpful.

This was, by far, the best VRBO experience I've ever had. We have stayed in at least ten VRBO properties and this one tops the charts. Mechele was so kind and very easy to communicate with. We appreciated all the little touches this property provides, like plenty of cozy blankets!The cabin is stunning! The pictures do not do it justice. It is so cozy and welcoming. The space was absolutely perfect for our family. My kids and husband played pool every waking moment. We also loved the proximity to all the Hocking hot spots, from hiking to restaurants to shopping. All of those things were about 15 to 20 minutes away, which was perfect for us to be in the secluded cabin surrounded by beautiful woods and then be only a short drive to whatever we wanted to do. This is a hidden gem and we can't wait to stay in this incredible cabin again soon.

The best cabin stay! The host was very friendly and prompt with answering message correspondences. The cabin had lots of space with many amenities, and was located in a quiet and peaceful area. The trails were amazing.They really got our hearts racing Lol! My young adults and teenage children truly enjoy this year's Christmas away from home. Will most definitely book again.

This cabin was perfect for us! It was much bigger than we expected and came with almost everything needed to cook a couple meals for a bunch of teens.

The cabin was incredible!! The beds were super comfy, the kitchen was beautiful, the bathrooms were so clean and provided a wonderful relief after our sweaty hiking trip!! The hosts were incredibly communicative and very easy to get ahold of! I appreciate how much time and effort was spent in taking care of our needs/questions, as well as the cleanliness and available amenities of the cabin itself. Looking forward to our next stay!!

Excellent in all respects with one exception. The 4 of us are in our mid-seventies. One with Parkinsons and one post ankle replacement. The outdoor stairs from the parking area were too challenging with no handrail or other support.

Our family had a great stay visiting Hocking Hills. We enjoyed the space, hot tub and the fire out at night.

This property was very beautiful, clean and just what we needed. Kitchen had all utensils supplies, pots, pans crockpot, can opener that came in handy.. The beds were super comfortable. Our family got to enjoy the pool table and hot tub as well as a fire it was very relaxing & would stay again. The host was very friendly, nice and welcoming. Check in and out was simple and easy.The only recommendation I have was maybe a handrail for the steps leading down to the cabin as I was with some older family members and family that has a hard time with balance. Our stay was perfect 10 out of 10 would recommend and we had an amazing time.

Black Bear was very cozy and comfortable. It was just as pictured with whatever you might need. Be aware, there are steps down to the cabin with no handrail. The cabin is pretty centrally located for exploring the area, you’re within 15 minutes of most points of interest. We so appreciated sitting on the coveted porch listening to the much needed rain on the one day it rained. We enjoyed our trip to Black Bear cabin, it was a great choice for us.

Everything about the cabin was perfect. Very nice fire pit area, beautiful deck and clean hot tub. The inside was clean and comfortable with attention to every detail. Our host Mechele was prompt to respond and very accommodating. Would stay there again without hesitation.

We had the most amazing girls’ weekend getaway at this beautiful cabin! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect escape! It was very peaceful and cozy. The cabin itself was spotless, well decorated, with plenty of space for all of us to relax and unwind.The hosts were absolutely wonderful! Mechele went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was the best that it could be. Very clean, and supplied with amenities that many rentals do not supply.

We had the best time at Black Bear cabin! My kids enjoyed our time playing pool, sitting in the hot tub, and making s’mores around the fire pit! We were an easy 20 minutes from Old Man’s Cave at Hocking Hills—a definite don’t miss experience. After our hike, we ate out on the back deck enjoying the sounds of the roosters and we even spotted a few deer!! The house is beautiful, we found all the supplies we needed, and we were able to relax as a family—this is a special place!!

This place is absolutely beautiful. It’s usually hard for me to fall asleep when I’m not home, but this place was so cozy that I had no trouble. Secluded enough for privacy, neighbors close enough to not feel like a scary movie lol! I went for my bachelorette trip and it was perfect. Wish we stayed longer to enjoy the cabin more and do more things around Logan! Great location.

We enjoyed 2 amazing night in Black Bear to celebrate my daughter's sweet 16th! She brought 7 of her dance friends and they had the most wonderful, memorable weekend! Feeding 8 teenagers can be overwhelming, but the kitchen was full stocked with everything you might need! Mechele was an absolute joy to work with - very fast in her communication with us! We've stayed in many VRBO's throughout the years, but Black Bear was by far the cleanest and nicest accommodations we've experienced! We are hopeful to return with family in the near future!

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Black Bear Cabin. It had a relaxing ambience and set up for comfort from the beds and furniture, the well equipped kitchen, ample towels and blankets, to the wrap around porch and the hot tub. It was meticulously clean! Even the wildlife seem to know this is a tranquil place-we viewed a baby deer about the grounds wait around for momma doe, which came to collect him towards dusk. Thanks, Mechele, for sharing your home with us!

I really can’t say enough good things about this place and the owners. Everything was absolutely top-notch. I am also a VRBO homeowner and I am beyond impressed by this Home and the owners response to anything we needed. I highly recommend this place and will come back again for sure.

Absolutely beautiful!! This place is paradise in the woods. Perfect location from Logan, and many different parts of the park for hiking. Our grill needed some TLC inside, which is the only reason for one less star on cleanliness but Mechele was extremely apologetic regarding the inside of the grill and worked quickly to get it fixed. I cannot recommend this cabin enough and my family will be returning without a doubt. We used all amenities they provided; pool table, hot tub, fire pit, grill, and hiking trails. We cooked meals there daily and they had everything we needed to do so. We also forgot our swimsuits. I asked to pay for them to be sent back and Mechele was a life saver, being willing to grab them up and send them via usps.

After many bookings through VRBO, this is the first cabin I’d truly give a 10/10 rating. It’s clean, private, comfortable and looks better in person than in pictures. Everything has been thought of. And I mean everything. This is the cabin to book.

We had a great time with our family. This location is secluded and peaceful. The cabin was very clean and exactly as described. The property manager was very communicative and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Would book again!

This was our second stay here and it was even better than the first time. They added a bed up to the loft which was great. The first night it rained, and we hung out on the porch. The second night, we grilled out and had a cozy fire down in the fire pit. My youngest loves everything about the woods and loved to identify the different mushrooms and lichen that we saw on the property. We got her a mushroom field guide at the lodge and she decided that she wants to be a mycologist. Great area for birding, we heard a whipoorwill, which was new for us. Actually, a lot of the birds there were new for us, since we are from farther south. Located not very far from the caves, we hit Rock House and Whispering Cave this time--which were perfect for our skill level. Stop by Grandma Fayes if you need anything or want some souvenirs. Will def stay again next year!

The cabin was fabulous. Nice and quiet located in the hills of Hocking Hills The cabin was equipped with everything we needed and is furnished with high quality appliances and furniture. We also loved the walking trails on the property. We saw some deer while on the trails. The hosts are fantastic. 5 stars all the way.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful! The wrap around deck allowed us to really enjoy all the views sitting outside. The trails were well mapped and we had a great time exploring! The cabin also had everything we needed and the owner was great to work with getting ready for our stay! Would love to come back!

The cabin was amazing. It was like new and much attention to detail. Very cozy and a beautiful view. We loved being able to hike on the property.

We absolutely loved everything about this cabin. Beds were comfy. Bathrooms were amazing. Hot Tub was the best we have ever been in. The fireplace was perfect. The mostly wrapped around Porches were amazing. The view into the trees and the sound of nature was amazing. We enjoyed the Pool table. The inside style of the cabin was beautiful. The kitchen was so spacious and we loved the large Island. Kitchen was Fully stocked with EVERYTHING we needed when we cooked. Even stuff we forgot we needed they had availble (Ex: Spices, Oil & sugar) We for sure will be returning!!!!!!!!

Mechele is an amazing property manager. I truly appreciated her communication and understanding when we had a hiccup at the very end of the stay.The house was beautiful, warm and cozy and had everything we wanted. The hot tub was the perfect size, we played several games of pool and enjoyed the view from every angle. The beds were comfortable and the amenities, especially for being in the middle of the woods, were great.We were able to see a family of deer right down the road from the house and there's a rooster with some hens next door, not too close, but close enough to hear my whistling. I didn't expect that, so it was funny and a nice surprise.I would absolutely recommend coming here and if we're ever in the area, again, we'd love to book the same place.Thank you Mechele!PS - The hiccup was my 80yr old father's flat tire. We drove separately and had to drive home to pickup our dog at a scheduled time, but my parents ended up having to get their car towed. That delayed our total exit, but Mechele was very understanding and for that, we're appreciative!

We had such a wonderful time and will definitely return to the area and rent this home! Everything was absolutely perfect, even more beautiful than described, and what the pictures can show. The house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. I mean everything!! Not like your typical rental place! Wow we’ve been spoiled. The attention to detail to make the place clean, relaxing, and downright tranquil, the second to none. The owners have gone to great lengths to make this relaxing and comfortable. They were very helpful when we ask questions, very quick to respond. As mentioned we definitely return!

My family and I spent a quick weekend at Black Bear while attending a wedding in Hocking Hills. I wish we had more time to enjoy everything the cabin had to offer! The cabin is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The host was very nice and responsive and even delivered firewood for us so we didn't have to bring our own. When we visit again, I'll definitely check to see if Black Bear is available.

Excellent stay with beautiful views from inside the cabin and out on the deck. Extremely spacious with room for socializing in a variety of settings within the cabin and on the property. Plenty of furnishings and kitchen items for a large group. Host was extremely responsive to pre-trip questions. We are looking forward to coming back!

The cabin was gorgeous, clean, and well stocked. We actually thought it was prettier in real life than in the pictures. The towels, blankets, pots and pans, and even the TP were high end and made for a very comfortable stay that felt like staying in a home and not a rental.

This is our 2nd time staying and it was just as perfect as the first. The cabin is beautiful, perfect weather, amazing view. We enjoyed the fire pit both nights. Hiked at Conkles Hollow, but otherwise stayed at the cabin. Fully stocked kitchen. Can’t speak highly enough about our host, Mechele. Kind, thoughtful and accommodating. Highly, highly recommend this cabin.

Wonderful accommodations. We planned a short trip for our daughter who is in the Air Force. She loves to hike and never got the cabin experience. Black Bear didn’t disappoint.
