Welcome to The Pointe at North View!

This large 4BR/4.5BA mountain home, situated on a spacious property with mature hardwood trees and mountain views, is located in Banner Elk, less than 4 miles from downtown, nestled between Sugar Mountain Ski Resort (about 6 miles away) and Ski Beech (about 9 miles away). Close by are Grandfather Mountain, about 12 miles away, and Linville Falls and Linville Caverns, less than 20 miles away. Hawksnest Snowtubing and Ziplines Resort is about 14 milesaway, and Tweetsie Railroad and Appalachian Ski Mountain are 23 miles away. The towns of Boone and Blowing Rock are also within 20 miles of The Pointe, and Lake Watauga is less than 30 miles away. The Watauga River is also less than 10 miles from The Pointe, and all else the High Country has to offer is conveniently nearby.

The Pointe is a roomy house with four large bedrooms, three of which are suites. One of the suites has a second bunk room in addition to the primary bedroom. The Pointe can accommodate up to eighteen (18) guests, including day beds, trundles, and sleepers. With a total of three levels, The Pointe offers ample space to spread out and enjoy its amenities. The covered front porch extends nearly the width of the house and provides a quiet place with rocking chairs that look out at the wooded mountain slopes. The two massive rear decks enjoy the mountain vista, offer outdoor dining with a gas grill, a comfy napping swing, a fire pit flanked by live-edge benches, and a hot tub. The grounds provide a blend of manicured lawn and wooded mountain slopes, ripe for walking and exploring.

The main entry foyer opens to a great room with soaring vaulted ceilings, a massive fireplace, a 65 HDTV, wood floors, and comfy furniture to accommodate a large group. The wall of windows in the great room reveals the expansive rear deck and the mountain view. The adjacent kitchen, fully equipped with stainless appliances, has granite countertops, a bar top that seats four, and a center island. There is a breakfast room on one side of the kitchen, which seats four (4), and the dining room is on the view side of the kitchen and boasts a banquet-style table that seats up to ten (10). There are also a half bathroom and a laundry room on the main level.

The master suite is on the main level and has a king bed, tray ceilings, direct access to the side and rear decks, a private ensuite bathroom with skylights, double vanities, a large soaking tub, and a separate shower. The master suite has a walk-in closet, a daybed, a trundle bed for extra sleeping options, a desk, a recliner, and a 65 HDTV. There is also a bedroom with a queen bed on the main floor.

Upstairs is a loft area with a desk, a recliner, and a daybed with a trundle bed. There are two suites upstairs, flanking either side of the loft. The suite on the left of the loft offers a king bed and a day bed with a trundle bed, a 50 HDTV, and a private ensuite full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The suite on the right side of the loft features two queen beds, a 50 HDTV, and a full ensuite bathroom with a tub/shower combo.

Downstairs opens to a den and game room with a 12-foot shuffleboard table, a reclining sectional, a big table for playing games or assembling puzzles, a 50 HDTV, and a full bathroom. A 6-person hot tub, comfy napping swing, and access to the backyard.

The Pointe offers a dual-zone central heating and air conditioning system for year-round comfort, digital cable programming on all 5 HDTVs, and WiFi internet throughout the house. This place is lovely! It def has the space and sleeping area for several.but 2 vehicles would have been tight imo..we used the hot tub, outside fire pit, the the shuffleboard the most..the path there is VERY tight and curving and 15 mins from a bare minimal store.. kitchen has everything you need and some nice staples left by others.. i would 100% stay here again.. the property managers were very thorough..i may be ocd,but it coyld have been a tad cleaner..baseboards and window sills were quite dusty.. they left plenty of tp and pt for our 3 night stay along w plenty of soap and shampoo..also there was an extra gas tank for every thing that used gas..we didnt take our dog ad planned but there is evidence animals are welcome here.. enjoy but DO NOT eat at Waightsgrill while visiting..i recommend the Pedalin Pig instead..or bojangles

We loved our stay. We were 4 families with kids of different ages along with 1 senior member and we were all comfortable. We did have trouble turning on the fireplace outside and pollens on deck and outside furniture, which upon call was addressed when we were outside enjoying grandfather mountains swinging bridge. Fireplace worked but pollens on deck and furniture was not cleaned (ofcourse that didn’t bothered us much) cuz most of the time we stayed by the fireplace on deck which wasn’t that bad. Overall we will recommend the house, large enough and best of all easy to get up and down the mountains!

We stayed for 3 nights for a ski weekend. The first night we had no heat in the house. Called the emergency line several times and emailed to get it fixed. The management company responded up until 10pm and then stopped responding. Called the next morning to find out what time the maintenance would be coming by and the lady didn’t even know. Spoke with 3 different people and none of them were on the same page. Took them almost 24 hours to get the heat on in the house. They refunded us our money for that night, but was very disappointed in how the management did not prioritize the safety of their guests. It was 45 degrees F inside the house the first night. We got several inches of snow over the weekend. Even though our vehicles had 4-wheel drive, we had a hard time getting up the drive way. The snow plow didn’t come out at all during our trip. I got a call an hour after our checkout time saying they were there to plow. There were no check out procedures on VRBO or emailed to me. And none at the house. I had to email the company at 9pm the night before to find out what we needed to do to leave. The house was gorgeous, the maintenance people were nice. Literally the only negative things I have to say are about the management company and how they run their guest services.

From the minute we entered this large beautiful home we felt at home. It was so comfortable for our large family group. Most evenings were spent out on the deck around the fire ring. We loved the view and the spotting scope. There was nothing negative about this property and we would definitely stay again. Thank you!!

Great house for big groups. I stayed here with friends and teenagers for a weekend to snowboard at Sugar Mountain. The house was very clean with plenty of cookware and utensils. Communication with the rental company was very prompt. We were very comfortable. The resort is 6 miles away (about a 17 minute drive down the mountain). I would definitely consider this rental again if we return in the future.

Our stay was amazing! The property is beautiful and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Ample supplies for a thanksgiving meal, and seating around the fire for everyone! The home is located outside of town and a good vehicle is needed to make it through the mountain road.
