My children loved the tree house feel and the putting green. The area has excellent kid friendly activities. The home is very cute and cozy. We were disappointed that the powder bath toilet was broken when we arrived. The cabin is pet friendly and it smelled as a pet soiled the couches and or the couch throw pillows. Our fault for not catching that it was pet friendly before hand as we did not travel with pets. We arrived the day after christmas and appreciated that the cabin was nicely decorated with a beautiful christmas tree.

We started a new tradition in our family by taking a small trip instead of buying gifts and it was a hit. The house provided all the amenities listed on the website. It was an absolute fabulous time. We made amazing memories it definitely was a perfect place for my family and I on our first family Christmas trip.

Reviewer Comments: Property's general condition was good, with the exception of an air duct and electrical cord hanging out of the ceiling in one of the bathrooms in the top floor; also TV in left bedroom on second floor was not working; and a few kitchen items were left dirty by the previous family. We reported these to the front desk, and she made a note. Otherwise, everything was beautiful. This is our second visit, and we plan to return next year.

I do suggest that a few repairs be made: the ceiling fan outside of the master bedroom is half broken and bangs into the house when the wind blows and is very loud. And the sink drains need to be worked on so they drain well. And lastly - the kitchen could use another spatula - there is only a flimsy plastic one that doesn't work super great. But...I would come back here in a Texas heartbeat! It was BEAUTIFUL and a BLASt! I especially appreciated that the paddle boards and canoes are free!

For almost $800 per night I was surprised that one of the kitchen cabinets was broken off and on the floor when I arrived. A bathroom cabinet door was also broken off. Almost non of the mini blinds in the entire house worked. They were all broken or the adjustment strings were stuck or broken. I plugged in my phone for charging one night and the next day discovered that the outlet was not working. I arrived about 4:30 and was given the code to the door over the phone which was great except for my memory. I always unlock a window just in case someone gets locked out which was me. I called the office at 4:52 and got no answer and no after hours line. If I had not unlocked the window I would not have been able to access the property again for almost 3 hours. I called VRBO national headquarters and they could not find the management company either. Some of the wood inside is rough cut which is very hard to clean and if you don't like dust, well this is not the place. My family had a great time and this place is beautiful. I would recommend it for a great stay. I just thought for the price that it would be cleaner and in better shape.
