Leave your cares far behind you when you escape to this quintessential Maine cabin on the shores of Green Lake, where you'll find everything you need to make your stay cozy and memorable. Admire the lakefront view from the sun room as the sun rises each morning, then take the provided canoe or kayak out for a paddle around one of Maine's cleanest glacial lakes. Spend your days jumping off the private dock and your evenings playing board games by the wood-burning fireplace, gathering around the firepit at sunset, and falling asleep to the sound of the loons.

This beautiful lake getaway is just enough off 1A that you feel like you are in your own world, but close enough to Bar Harbor and Bangor to explore to your hearts content. Absolutely loved the place. Great for families or couples for a getaway. Excellent retreat for business getaway.
The lake cabin was very peaceful and in a beautiful location. We really enjoyed watching the sunrise and set from the boat dock. We also enjoyed fires in the fire pit at night and morning coffee from the back porch looking out at the fall colors across the lake. Cabin was very clean and well stocked.
The view was beautiful and the cabin itself was cute.
great get away for the summer, perfect for 6 people.Loved the lake.
My husband and I had a relaxing stay at the hooting loon on Green Lake. The home was comfortable, nothing luxurious but then again, it’s a Maine lake cabin. We couldn’t figure out the sound on tv so we just embraced the peace and quiet. Printed tv instructions for guests would be nice. We enjoyed sitting out back and enjoying the lake views! Great location close to Ellsworth, Acadia, Bar Harbor, etc. We’d love to return to this gorgeous area!
Excellent spot on the lake! Issues with water could have been handled better. Four days to fix plumbing problem. Local team communicated well first two days then went silent. Would have expected them to check on us. I’ve been to the property 4 times and love it. The lawn chairs we usually used were gone. Bought a couple and left them for the next guest. So, love it and will go back but disappointed in the customer service.
The cabin was very clean and very well stocked. We have no complaints and would stay here again!
The Hooting Loon was very comfortable for our family. We loved being right on the lake.
This cabin is attractive, clean, cozy and very well stocked. We traveled early October and enjoyed the views of the lake in the mornings and evenings; sunrises and sunsets, and stargazing at night was tremendous. Even though it was late in the year for them, we were lucky enough to hear loons couple of times. The neighbors were quiet and we enjoyed the silence. We were spending time in Bangor and Bar Harbor, so this location made for a reasonable commute to both, and the town of Ellsworth had all the conveniences we needed. Be aware that one of the rooms is a true loft accessible by a steep ladder only. That was no concern for us but might be for some. I would book this cabin again in a heartbeat.
We had a great week at this cabin! It was very clean and well appointed. The location on the lake is absolutely gorgeous. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent here again.
Such an easy stay, the house has a great kitchen with lots and pans, washer dryer, bathroom towels, soaps and shampoos. And close to the town center of Ellsworth to stock up on groceries for the week. Saw some beautiful sunsets on the lake and would definitely want to book here again!
Perfect cabin overlooking the lake! Quiet getaway to reconnect Loved the canoe and kayak! Easy ride to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor for day trips. A must stay!
