Welcome to Lake View Cabin, our renovated Little black 1950's cabin with amazing Lake views, it doesn't get much better then this!!

Location! Location! Location! We are on the Lake side of HWY 89, one house away from beach and Pier.

This cabin has completed our dream by giving us an opportunity to enjoy an amazing panoramic view of spectacular Lake Tahoe all seasons of the year, in addition to affording us just a short stroll(100 yard) to the beach. We love the location andonce you spend a few minutes out on the deck, you will see why we chose this property on the West shore, just steps from the beach…..
Blue lake views all day long, Mountain views across the lake and surrounding area, pink sunsets on the beach and pier every evening. The night time ending with views of, lit up houses on the lake.

Leave your cars behind.. Walk to our local beach and pier, Sugar Pine Beach, Tahoma market, coffee, the Dog and Bear Tavern, and even Chambers landing for there Chambers punch! Download the Tart Connect app and enjoy Tart Connect, free door-to-door shuttle service. A shuttle service offering rides on the north and west shore of Lake Tahoe. Download the app, request a ride and get picked up in as little as 15 minutes! Look on their website for more information.

Across the street is a Neighborhood Tavern; Dog and Bear Tavern; check it out on line(Yummy and Cute!). Enjoy the short walk to Tahoma Market and Deli with it's amazing deli sandwiches(great to take to the beach, on the boat, hiking, sledding or the snow slopes), Hot pizza(Pizza's are not always available), Coffee, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, most your groceries needs, wine selection. Across the street is also a Coffee bar, post office, ice-cream shop, sushi. West Shore market is another favorite of mine and just a 5 minute drive. They have yummy sandwiches and a beautiful little market, with a sweet little gift shop. Sunnyside Restaurant, lake front restaurant is next door to West Shore market; another favorite spot.. Super fun spot to eat out on the deck(make reservations), or first come first serve in their bar area. Chambers landing is an easy ride on the bike path or your boat; chambers punch is a hit there. They have a casual deck with yummy cocktails and small bites or make reservations and sit inside the beautiful modern/rustic restaurant and enjoy the lake view.. At West Shore Cafe you will experience the magic of Lake Tahoe's West Shore! Old Tahoe charm, fresh California cuisine(Make reservations). Fire sign Cafe is a great breakfast spot. And many other yummy spots close by; I would suggest looking on YELP.

You'll find our neighbors warm and welcoming.. Across the street is a cute little park and if you are lucky, you might catch a concert there. They seem to do them in the summer and usually post the schedule outside of the park. Hike and bike on trails leading to Sugar Pine Point, Emerald Bay State parks, all the way to Tahoe City with beaches, national forest, Desolation Wilderness along the way. A meandering paved bike path makes its way along the shore to Tahoe City, down the Truckee River all the way to Squaw Valley. Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park has a fun obstacle course and zip-line is supper fun(they book fast so make reservations).

When your ready to venture out, Squaw Valley village(25 min) is a blast with yummy food, drinks and activities; they also have an obstacle corse and zip-line. The kids can miniature golf, sky jump on the trampoline, and there is a rock climbing wall..
Northstar(45 min) is another spot our family enjoys with there nightly smores after a day of mountain biking, hiking, skating, skiing, ice-skating…

Natural Disaster & Unforeseen Circumstance There are no refunds for natural disasters or other major events that are out of our control. We highly encourage you to purchase trip insurance to cover your stay in case of a natural disaster or other major event. Depending on the type of trip insurance you purchase, you are usually eligible to be reimbursed by the insurance company for the amount that we do not refund.

*** Weather & California Fire Season: unfortunately, wildfires have become a regular occurrence during fire season (July - Oct). As such, we recommend purchasing trip / travel insurance. We are unable to predict smoke and/ or air quality conditions and as such no refunds will be given for wildfires, air quality or other weather condition including snow storms and repercussions due to snow storms such as power outages, Wi-Fi disturbance etc.

WINTER SNOW SEASON: During the winter snow season the West Shore of Lake Tahoe can see a very large snow accumulation. 4 wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. We have a driveway plow service that comes every snowfall (of 6 inches or more) to clear the driveway, and a shoveling service to clear pathways prior to your arrival. Please note that snowfall can continue to accumulate between shoveling service and your arrival. Shoveling service is not provided mid-stay, however we do provide shovels for your use if necessary. If heavy snowfall happens during your stay and additional shoveling help is necessary, please give us a call and we may be able to arrange some assistance for an extra fee. Due to heavy snow accumulation in the area, the decks are not completely cleared and only pathway access is maintained. Please be patient as the snow removal services work to clear both county roads and driveways. There is no street parking allowed in winter. As always, let us know your needs and we will work to make your stay wonderful! Thank you! We are not responsible for Lake Tahoe weather changes / delays leading up to and during your reservation. In the event of a storm, our cancellation policy stands.

Here’s a polished, warm Vrbo review you can copy-paste or tweak as you like:⸻We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was absolutely perfect for our family of four with two kids under 10. The location was exactly what we were looking for: peaceful, quiet, and away from the busy town areas, yet still incredibly convenient. There’s a great coffee shop and restaurant directly across the street. We enjoyed both so much we went twice during our stay. A market and several ski resorts are also close by, making everything easy and accessible. The lake is just a two-minute walk away and you can even see it from the back windows and the terrace. The hot tub was truly the star of the house. We used it almost every day and it was the perfect way to way to relax. Most importantly, we can’t say enough good things about Jennifer. We arrived during a huge storm and she was beyond accommodating. Her communication was excellent and she made sure we had everything we needed. We would absolutely recommend this place and would love to stay here again.

We had a lovely stay in this place. The night sky from the hot tub is amazing, and walking the short distance to the dock to watch the sunrise over the lake was a treat. Well stocked, comfy beds and a good location for all wee wanted to do.

This is our seventh stay and we absolutely love this cabin. The location cannot be beat. We loved having dinner on the deck looking out over the lake. We biked from the cabin every single day and swam from the dock every single day. It’s so fun to watch the sunrise, sunset, And we saw some beautiful storm action too. Jennifer is easy to work with. And the new Jacuzzi is pretty amazing. We can’t wait to return!

We went strictly for hiking, and since most of the more scenic trails are on the southwest part of the lake, it was a perfect location. Small and cozy, just as advertised. There were plenty of supplies left by the owner, and the grocery/ deli was perfect for fixing us up for our hikes. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at this cabin on the west shore. The location could not be better. Not only do you have a lake view from the dining room, but you are walking distance to several wonderful trails, across the street from a coffee shop, burger joint, and tavern, and literally a five minute walk from a small market that has necessities. Though we chose this spot because of its proximity to some backcountry ski trails, we ended up hiking since there wasn't a ton of snow this early in the season. That ended up being really great, though, as we found some great spots to go just walking out of the cabin.Amenities-wise, the cabin was plenty warm due to a few baseboard heaters supplemented by some portable space heaters. The kitchen was well stocked for the cooking we did, with plenty of sharp knives, bowls, etc. Appliances are in great shape. Coffee is a keurig maker, and one small suggestion would be to add a french press. Wifi was about 80-100mbps, which should be plenty for anyone who needs to work or have multiple kids watching videos. The hot tub on the deck was also great, especially after a long day in the snow. It's well maintained. The view of the stars from the hot tub was outstanding. The bed was very comfy and the mattress was firm. Parking was easy and it's nice that the cabin is down the street from the road. The area was quiet at night. We would absolutely stay again and would recommend the cabin to others.

The cabin is cute and in a great location. Overall we enjoyed our stay and we were sad to see the neighbor putting in large birch trees that may obstruct the views from the cabin. We do agree with some of the other comments. The second floor could use a deep clean and the hot tub jets need to be checked.

Beautiful retreat overlooking the lake from the second row. Walk to the market, restaurants and lake in the Tahoma neighborhood on the west side. The house is as advertised, beautiful inside and out. Enjoyed watching the sunrise from the back deck and the golden hour glow at sunset from the hot tub. Already planning our next visit.

My husband and our 3 boys ages 10-15 had the perfect trip in this cabin! The listing is very acccurate and gave great information about the area. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had all we needed with beautiful lake views. The area is perfect with a short walk to the market, restaurants, and a great coffee shop across the street. The kids loved the lake beach and jumping off the pier- just a few steps down the hill! We enjoyed our coffee on the deck each morning and peaceful sunsets from the hot tub. Tahoma is a great area in Tahoe with a quiet charm. We hope to be back!
