The couches had dog hair on them. The downstairs bedroom also had dog hair on the comforter. Laundry was left in the dryer and the towels in the bathroom smelt moldy. Had to wash towels before taking showers. Food was left in fridge other than regular condiments.
We found our trip pleasant and even without snow we found the stay to be cozy and fulfill all our needs during the stay!
Overall great stay and fun time with the family. Loved everything cozy cabin feel. Initially a little cold when arriving so you will have to put up the heat wish they were able to send someone there prior to our arrival to turn the heat on. Otherwise it’s a nice family space the kids enjoyed it!
Great cabin away from everything. Has everything you need. Clean. Pretty much what you seek in a place away from home.
It was everything that I was looking for really enjoyed myself me and my family will be coming back again in the summer thank you so much for your cabin.
We arrived at 6pm, driveway was covered in ice, pathway to the main entrance was narrow and slippery. Inside the cabin was 50 degrees and freezing cold, thermostats were set very low and some were turned off. All the beds were uncomfortable, none of us slept good. We booked the cabin for two nights but only stayed one night because we all agreed staying another night wasn’t worth it. Inside the cabin was updated nicely and clean, the walk-in tiled shower was good size. The down side was inside the main entrance there was stairs to go up to the main level and stairs leading down to the bathroom and all the bedrooms, not kid friendly.
We stayed last fall and it was all wonderful. Nearby trails, community pool, woods, etc. house was perfect!
We stayed a long winter weekend at the property. We had great time and the whole stay was hassle free.
This adorable cabin was exactly what I had envisioned. Everything was perfect, the location, the décor, even the game cabinet was stocked full of games that we all played together as a family. We all loved the nice clubhouse pool as well, that was a treat!
Needed a stress free weekend and going during the never ending lake effect storm seemed to be the perfect time. The cabin is quaint and the bedrooms are very snug. Beds are comfortable. There were some issues, that we messaged the owners about. The pool is about 2 minutes away, the slide wasn't working but my younger 2 didn't seem to mind. Be prepared that if you have more than 1 bag of garbage, you have to drive it to the golf course & pay to dispose of it. Overall, this cabin was just right for our family of 5 with our dog.
It was a peaceful and relaxing place but is on a busy road
Pros: This is a very nice cabin with a fairly private setting. The cabin is fully stocked with dishes, games, towels, etc. Located close to the beach and playgrounds. The clubhouse access with the pool was a huge plus. The cabin is nicely decorated with reliable WiFi and having 3 bedrooms was perfect for our group of 5. There is no AC, but all the bedrooms are located in the basement so sleeping was still very cool and comfortable. Cons: There is a very small yard area in general and it appeared to not have been mowed once this year and it’s currently mid July. We had a 3 year old with us and the majority of the weeds were taller than he was. I was very disappointed in this since it truly limited any yard usage whatsoever. The only place weed free was the small fire pit area. The cabin did have an initial strong dog smell when entering, but it did fade as time went on. It is a bit smaller than what it looked like in pictures. It worked fine for our group of 5 with two vehicles, but a group any bigger may have felt crowded. Overall, we enjoyed the cabin quite a bit and all the amenities it had to offer, but it was hard to shake the disappointment over the overgrown weeds and setting.
Pros: nice location, very close to lake, cool downstairs rooms which is nice since there doesn't seem to be AC, not great in the summer. The kitchen was very nice, has everything you need. Cons: Place smelled like wet dog and had bugs flying around everywhere, smell will away after a bit though. Place was smaller than it looked in the posting, it's decent for 2-3 adults at most.
This is the perfect cabin for a small family comfortable sharing one bathroom. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and convenient to the beach at Lake Harold. Parking was ample for our two vehicles. The location is also conveniently close to dining and activities in the Gaylord, Jordan River Valley, and Mancelona area. The owners provided reliable DSL internet which worked well for both personal computing and streaming needs. Towels and linens were clean and plentiful. There is also a gas grill available for use, which works very well. The cabin is well shaded so it remains comfortable even in 90 degree weather (the owners provide fans and there are ceiling fans which help). The owners were very responsive to our questions and needs. The only downside is that there is only one bathroom. Otherwise this is a great little cabin for outdoor adventures in northern Michigan!
