Lake Front, Sunset Views, Diamond Lake, Newport, WA

House wasn’t cleaned when we arrived and had to wait for cleaning lady. She did a great job once there. The hostess was very cooperative and helpful.

The interior of the property was great. The exterior needs maintenance and the trash cans needed to emptied. They were completely full upon our arrival. Overall, we were happy.

Another great getaway!We love spending time at Diamond Lake and this property is hard to beat! There is plenty of room to spread out and the new AC unit helps keep the summer temperatures outside. A ping pong table and kayaks for guests to use is unheard of, what a treat! Highly recommend!

Our stay was good. The property was up to date and very clean. The sleeping was a bit of a challenge. We had 6 adults and 3 children. The futon upstairs was in an open area that overlooked the living room so the kids couldn't sleep there as the adults were still up. The lake at this property is very shallow. We had to anchor our boat out a bit and walk to it through the water or use our wave runner. Also, the noise of the traffic bothered some of us and it lasted off and on all night. FYI...be sure and pack extra paper towels and TP. With 9 people we ran out and had to use our own. All of this being said, it was a restful, enjoyable vacation for our family :)

The water was shallow which was amazing for kids. They had fun in the kayaks the house provided and a paddle board we brought up. The house was perfect and we loved having the pink pong table and good kid’s bowls and cups etc. We went with our 6 young kids and it was perfect. It was very hot the first night (I assume the AC window unit was not running in the day), but the next couple nights were much better. It is right off the highway so nothing to walk to and it was kind of loud, but that was fine. We would stay here again!

Great place to stay. We have stayed several times. It does get hot during the day in the house during the summers but cools off at night.

This property has everything you need. Kitchen is very well stocked, beds comfortable, lots of room for a family gathering. The addition of a window AC unit in the kitchen, which was not there last time we stayed is a welcome addition during the warm days (our stay's high was in the low 80's), and new coverings on the windows that get the morning sun helpful. On very hot days, the cabin could still be very warm...cool nights, windows with screens and lots of available fans and ceiling fans in each room is helpful! We also had some quite cooler non-swimming days but the beautiful, unobstructive view from the cabin added to some very nice relaxing, read a book days. Yes, as mentioned in the description, there is road noise but you adjust and that aspect also adds easy access, and a quick trip into Newport for food supplies or dinner out! The gradual water depth is perfect swimming for children, our 6-year-old could walk out to nearly the end of the dock with head still above water. We enjoyed our stay!

What a delightful place for our family to share together! Beautiful and spacious, the beds quite comfortable with snuggly sheets and blankets, plenty of linens, an extremely well-equipped kitchen and very child-friendly - the kids had lots of play spaces - even bubble wands for the enclosed deck. Gorgeous views of the lake while enjoying morning coffee, and a good sturdy dock. Definitely as advertised and everything we expected! Many special memories made! Thank you!

The property is great for a family gathering, and close to people on the Idaho side of Spokane. We appreciated the spacious layout, with plenty of dining space for a family, dinner, and seating for our fellowship time. We also loved the Lakeview, and in warmer weather would have loved to take advantage of the kayaks and the dock. Laundry facility was helpful, beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water and small amenities like shampoo, detergent, and soap. Biggest stressor for us was that while I was on vacation, my husband was not. The posting was very clear about havingWi-Fi and streaming ability for both entertainment and computer use, but we found out the day, before we were to arrive that it was not the case. By that time, it was too late to make other arrangements. Also, there was no DVD player available to use in lieu of streaming, so we were left with watching videos on our phones and trying to use a hotspot that was not very reliable.On the positive, the host was very communicative and did her best to make the change, but as it was early in the season, she had not confirmed that the property matched the current listing details. We were understandably frustrated, and the host gave us one free nights stay (the base price )We would like to stay in the area again, if possible, at Sonja‘s place,and have recommended the house for our family and friends, but this time will be more careful about our questions before we book.

It was so amazing and clean, and we will be back, the owner was so helpfull with any issue, and the lake was so clear, Gods Country!
