This gorgeous, spacious 1400 sq. ft. log home located in Gated Deerwater Lake within Cliffview Resort is perfect for people wanting to get away in a lakefront location and have access to fishing, canoeing /kayaking, and swimming on a private dock! The lake is a great place to fish for Bass and Catfish (catch & release). The view from this cabin is spectacular! Kayaks and paddles are provided, but if you own any, the more the merrier.

This cabin has 3 BR and 3 baths, fiber optic Wi-Fi, outdoor hot tub, gas grill, slate pool table and campfire pit. It has central heat/ac, gas fireplace, flat screen smart TVs in the main living room (and Queen Bedroom), plush couch and lounge chair seating, and a kitchen fully equipped with granite counters, a dishwasher, large refrigerator, enormous custom center island with bar stool seating which serves as the dining area, and in nearly every room.

The master bedroom has a king bed and a private Full Bath with tile shower. The second bedroom has a fun queen bunk bed and a private Full Bath with tile shower. The 3rd bedroom has one queen bed with a private Flat screen TV. It accesses the 3rd full bathroom with tub/shower combo and is a Jack-n-Jill shared with the main living area.

Feel free to hike around the lake, although the view is so spectacular from the deck you may not want to leave it. It is a beautiful spot in the winter as the lake remains a clear blue-green color year round.

Access is easy paved roads to a length of gravel road ending at two gravel driveways: one with a short tricky hill to flat gravel on one side of the house, and a longer less steep one on the other. Easily accessed by 2wd vehicles.
A ramp to the deck is provided at the end of the longer gravel driveway providing step free access to the entire household and main level deck making this cabin a good option for guests seeking to avoid stairs or in a wheelchair. A full staircase greets the other driveway and firepit area, both meeting at the large wrap around deck which is fully fenced in with railings and latching gates at the stairs and ramp for groups with young, curious children.

Beautiful house and location! Wife loved the kitchen and island. Overall good but watch out for the driveway, it was very steep and washed out from the rain. Better to park down by the road . Also master bedroom bathroom smelled like sewage whole time ( had to buy some bleach to make the smell manageable).

Spacious cabin with gorgeous views. We enjoyed the pond, hot tub and fire pit. The cabin was generally well appointed but did seem to be missing paddles for some of the boats and could use blinds or thicker curtains in the king bedroom. We also could have used a bit more storage space-there were lots of closets and cabinets but all closets and several cabinets were locked so we ended up just having to leave our stuff laying out in suitcases. We also would have liked to just get a text with the neighborhood code and a code for the door instead of needing to stop by the rental office before check in and at check out. Overall very nice property though and great for a relaxing stay. Very convenient to many different hiking areas.

Had a few cleanliness issues and some boards broken on the decks/steps but overall I would stay here again.

The location is nice. It was quiet and close to everything we had planned to do. The kitchen had just about any item needed, it was well stocked with dishes and cookware. The trees have really grown since it appears the pictures were taken so you have less of a view. My kids were excited that they had their own private bathrooms. The master bedroom has the Jack and Jill bathroom with the rest of the house. There are 2 driveways for the cabin and both can be tricky getting into we definitely had to use 4 wheel drive. We had a few issues but the host worked quickly to resolve.

House was great! Loved all the stars at night. Parking on gravel drive on incline was not easy with a minivan.

I stayed here with my cousin and two ten-year-olds for four nights. We loved having such easy access to the lake and enjoyed the kayaks. We also enjoyed using the firepit to make s'mores. It would have been great to have a lockbox or keypad to enter the home, rather than having to drive the ten miles to the rental office for the key. We would have also like to have had a few more towels to use; we had six towels for four people over a four night stay. Overall though, we loved the house and would definitely stay here again.

Overall this is a nice property that offered a pool table and spa for relaxing fun after exploring the area. The lake was smaller than expected and it was catch and release which was not communicated in the listing. You have to retrieve the keys at a coffee shop and return the keys to a coffee shop. The kitchen was well stocked. Housekeeping needs to be more on their game as 2 used band aides were found. One stuck to the pool table, and one stuck to the living room rug. They left the sweeper out? Maybe in case we needed it, but it was completely full of months of yuck. Fire pit area could definitely use some upgrades and attention.

We started our trip quite disappointed because we were planning for a multi-generation fishing trip where grandpa, son, and grandsons could bond through fishing. We read the listing and all of the reviews thoroughly and nothing said we couldn’t keep the fish. So when we saw the signs around the lake that we couldn’t keep the fish, it put a damper on our whole trip. We scavenged the area for fishing spots over several days and despite repeated attempts, the guys were unable to catch a single fish that was large enough to keep. We went to Mill Creek Lake and all through red river with no luck. Perhaps it was the wrong time of year. We were also surprised by the cleanliness of the home. The washing machine was gross with dog hair and mildew. I cleaned out some nasty stuff before we used it. The dryer vent also hadn’t been cleaned out after the last several uses based on the amount of junk in it. There were some cob webs throughout the cabin; which my mother-n-law could not help but point out. And the dishwasher never worked. It was only a few months old. They comped us a day for the cleanliness. It odd that ALL of the closets were locked, so we did not have sufficient space to hang our clothes or get our suitcases out of the way. The cabin was also very dark. The under cabinet lights didn’t work in the kitchen, making it hard to see at times. The Gorge is beautiful and we loved kayaking in the Gorge Underground and taking the Sky Lift to the Natural Bridge.

Cabin was very well kept. It was clean and neat when we arrived. The lake is good for fishing. Only thing is it’s a little far from some of the major sites we enjoy. Other than that amazing cabin and a great price as well.

This cabin is beautiful with tasteful decoration, plenty of space, and anything you may need for cooking in the kitchen. Our family loved our stay and have no negative comments about this location. We WILL be booking again and will hopefully bring family to stay in the surrounding cabins
