'Just a Step Away' - a Secluded Cabin on Stover Creek w/Fiber Wi-Fi & Hot Tub

Just a Step Away is absolutely our favorite cabin rental to date. Perfectly peaceful and secluded. Our favorite spot is listening to the running water from the creek on the screened in back porch. Always clean and stocked with with everything you need, plus some extras like spices and the ketchup I forgot to pack, lol. Highly recommend for all ages. If you have a senior that cannot make it up the many steps to the front entry, send someone around to the back and problem solved. Very hard to leave this gem in the woods and we will be back for a third time as soon as we are able!

The place was prefect. Hot tub was amazing. Everything about this place was prefect. We will stay here again in future.

Quiet, secluded, spacious (yet cozy) —this cabin is the perfect getaway for those needing solitude and a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Extremely well stocked, we had everything we needed and more. Very, very guest friendly.

Amazing rustic cabin. The hot tub was a joy after our long ride. Trails behind the cabin lead to the creek and a wading pool. My puppy enjoyed the walks a lot.Everything was clean and there is a lot of cookware/bakeware, coffee pots, even a Keurig!We had a great time. I only wish I had booked it for a longer stay. Will definitely return on our next trip to Georgia.

Loved it! It’s very nice, clean, and very well stocked! The hot tub was the bonus! We spent lots of time in it. Very comfortable beds. Loved the screened porch as we did have some rain. We will definitely be back! Probably should give a heads up about the gravel roadway close to arrival, it wasn’t an issue but didn’t expect that, even though we loved the privacy!

PRIVATE PRIVATE PRIVATE !!! When you hear the term “nestled in the woods” this cabin is it ! Literally all you need is some food because there is everything you can think of here . Only downside was there is a landline phone and it does get random phone calls, sometimes early in the morning but other than that we will deff make this cabin a go to from now on . Great space if you have kids and the creek in the back of the property can easily be swam in.

This place was great quit clean and i would rent it again and the Host was excellent very nice people.

We had a very great time. The house was extremely clean and inviting. It was very secluded and peaceful. We will definitely make plans to return in the future.

My wife and I have stayed at Just a Step Away several times, and it is always a wonderful experience. The cabin is cozy without being too small. The hot tub is a wonderful amenity, as is the wood-burning fireplace. We also love the gas stove/range in the kitchen. The furnishings are comfortable. We also love the seclusion.This year we had a concern about the hot tub (Eric replaced the old one this year). I posted a note in the VRBO app and Eric got right back to me, explained what was happening, and allayed our concerns.Eric was also concerned about us coming up this year, given the inclement winter weather we expected this past weekend. We assured him we were coming, and he explained what we needed to do in the event of a power outage, given the home is on a well and if there were no power, there would be no water. We had no issues with the power despite two days of extreme cold and frozen precipitation.We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back next year.

Cabin was very spacious with lots of amenities. Road to the cabin was a little rough. Pretty far from the town. But we enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed the remoteness of this cabin and all the amenities, especially the hot tub. The kitchen was fully equipped and even had some basic food staples available if needed. Excellent family weekend!!!

Overall, the cabin itself was exactly as described. I appreciated that. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. Eric was easy to contact- but be aware there is ZERO Wi-Fi once on that last mile. The hot tub was used once, and the water was definitely hot! We really loved the variety of games in the closet, and enjoyed playing Clue late nights. The beds were super comfy,(although high, -stools are provided if needed).The kitchen amenities were wonderful-loved the new gas stove, toaster-air fry oven, (would've preferred a Keurig). It was nice to have the 'little things' supplied- paper towels, tinfoil, spices, towels, extra blankets. The big downfall for us was the 1.4 mile road to get TO the cabin. If we didn't have the Nissan Rogue, most normal cars or large SUV's would NOT have safely made that trip! I wish that part was disclosed in the description. It caused us a LOT of anxiety each time we had to travel in/out- especially at night. If you want peace and quiet and to be AWAY from the craziness of life- this is the place for you.

The cabin had everything you could possibly need and more. It was very secluded, easy access, and what we loved the most is how welcoming the host were with Pets. They were also very responsive and friendly

Very cozy cabin in a lovely location. Short walk to the creek. Plenty of firewood! Very peaceful and serene.

This cabin was equipped better than most homes. It was clean and comfortable. The location was off the beaten path, as we didn’t see anyone else in the area from the time we left the paved roads down to the cabin which was on gravel roads. If you are seeking comfortable seclusion, this is a great place to consider. Communication with the owners was quick and efficient without being over taxing.

Pleasantly remote. We didn’t see a human or an automobile for three days! The property is remarkably well equipped. We brought things we thought we would need… it was already there. After a few days of relaxation we ventured out and visited Ellijay and Blue Ridge. We loved our stay!

We can't wait to go back! The cabin/house was perfect. Absolutely loved the screened-in porch and hot tub. The sounds of the forest were so soothing. The creek was perfect for us with the dogs. None of us were ready for our time there to end. Eric was a wonderful host.

We were looking to get away from the noise and stress of everyday life, and that’s exactly what we found at “Just a Step Away”. This property is so peaceful and is definitely secluded! We didn’t see or hear any neighbors! We loved sitting on the porch listening to the creek! We will definitely be booking this cabin again, hopefully in the near future! Sandy & Kelly King

This was our second stay at this cabin. It is amazing. Perfect getaway for our family.

This cabin was just as described in the listing. It was secluded, cozy, and well-equipped. Our family enjoyed every minute. The owner welcomed us with a message in the app and phone call on the home line ensuring we located the cabin okay, was quick to respond when we requested info regarding the hot tub (temperature is controlled remotely by home owner), and ensured all of our needs were met.We thoroughly enjoyed walking down to the creek, spending time by the campfire, lounging in the hot tub after a day of hiking, cooking out on the grill and eating on the porch, and playing board games.

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Spacious, secluded, and quiet… it was wonderful to sit in the rocking chairs on the back porch and relax!! Everything functioned as advertised, and we will definitely be back in the future.

Wonderful place and the cabin is great

Fully stocked home that isn’t far from attractions but also feels like it’s in the middle of no where! Came in at dark after driving a while and I felt like I was taking my Acura off road. The road wasn’t too rough but it is tight with the bushes and limbs growing. Unfortunately a storm came through and shut off power which left us with no water, WiFi or call service. We decided to pack up and head home early. Host was very responsive. If you’re looking to get away from the city this is your place.

I surprised my fiance with a stay here over Valentine’s Day weekend. Couldn’t have been more pleased with the decision. From the sound of the trout stream to the hot tub we were relaxed from the beginning. So much to enjoy or kick back and enjoy the fire. This won’t be the last visit for sure!

We love this cabin! It is clean, comfortable, and well-apointed. My wife and I spend a long weekend here every January. It is quiet and off the beaten path, which is exactly what we're looking for. The seclusion is wonderful. The hot tub is a wonderful bonus for a nice, relaxing soak. And, the owners are easy to work with and quite responsive. Highly recommended! 7 out of 5 stars!

A peaceful setting inside the woods yet not detached from other cabins and close enough to shopping and restaurants. The fireplace, hot tub, babbling brook and fire pit add to the relaxation and adventure to this wonderful place

This was a lovely cabin to stay at for our very first Thanksgiving away from home. We are a family of 4 with two teenage boys. It was spacious and had plenty of board games for family fun after returning to cabin from exploring Downtown Blue Ridge and McCaysville. It was a perfect Thanksgiving and just what we were looking for! We will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful cabin with plenty of room ands lots of resources if you possibly forgot something. Great porch with Hot tub and gas grill. Beautiful stream nearby and firepit for making s'mores. Large fireplace with plenty of firewood. TVs and great directTV, internet, and DVD players with a large selection of movies. Definitely recommend to all (except maybe elderly people. There are stairs to the front entrance and backdoor entrance that would be difficult to traverse). Just being honest.

Convenient and easy to find out of the way location. Well lit roomy and exceptionally clean updated log cabin nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains between Ellijay and Blue Ridge, GA. Secluded property adjacent to small stream is nicely decorated with ample space and all of the supples and furnishings that makes this property feel like home: A sack full of perishables and a backpack of personal belongings is all that is necessary to relax and enjoy this place and its surroundings for several days. Great comms with the host and excellent value for all the property had to offer. Will stay here again when the opportunity presents itself!

We loved our 3 days of blissful relaxation at this lovely property. We soaked in the hot tub, enjoyed long walks through the woods, cooked fabulous meals in the well stocked kitchen, and relaxed by the fireplace in the evening. Our host were very available to us for any questions we had. What more could we ask for!!! We definitely plan on returning. Thanks for sharing your lovely cabin with us. This is just an awesome place to rest, relax and unwind. Quiet and peaceful with the creek at the back of the property. Beautiful and clean cabin with a great host. Highly recommend

Getting away from the city was wonderful. We needed some peace and respite and this property provided it. We were happy reading books by the creek, relaxing in the hot tub, and taking walks. We cooked great food in the kitchen that is better equipped than my own and on the grill. Wonderful hiking is a short drive away. Owners were wonderful and contacted us to make sure we “weathered the storm” which did knock out power for a time. Will return for some peace…”Far from the Madding Crowd”.
