Great view from the back deck and hot tub. Kitchen loaded with all the things you need, but dont want to bring with you(pots, pans, utensils, plates, coffee maker, toaster, air fryer). Pretty close to town, and still secluded.
Clean and functional
The house was as advertised and it met our needs. It had a wonderful few and it was very cozy. Everything was close to it and easy to get too. We had a wonderful weekend there and would rent it again. The only issues we had was wasp kept showing up in the house even though it was cold outside.
Woods in back, dead end road so no traffic, clean , great deck. Windows and doors need screens. Hope to return!
This was the perfect choice for a long weekend! The location of this house cannot be beat. Everything you could want to do is minutes away. The view off the back deck/hot tub is stunning! I think we will definitely be back again.
Cabin was awesome view was amazing and location was perfect. The only complaint was the first floor bedroom had a slight locker room smell about it.
The house was as described. The view was wonderful!! Only 2 complaints, the house definitely needs a good thorough cleaning. The window blinds were covered in dust. We opened a window upon arrival because it smelled a little musty, not a big deal, but really didn’t want to touch the blinds. The lamps on the nightstand were dusty as well. There were only 2 towels per guest room. We were there for 4 nights and most were very stained, to the point they didn’t look washed. We managed to get 4 usable towels, luckily it was just the 2 of us. We usually showered 2x a day because of using the hot tub. If more people were staying with us we would have been drying towels daily or using wet ones. Not a big deal but when I’m on vacation I don’t want to worry about doing laundry. Overall we would stay again, the view was worth it. It was also nice it was pet friendly so our fur babies could come along.
This place had a great view and was in a fantastic location! The check in process was not as easy as expected. I had to message them to get check in information. The place did not have a specific address, so we only had an address to the main office. We had to pick up keys and follow printed directions to the place (which was ok). The place did not have a visible sign or address, and they did not give us a necessary code to get in! We had to call to get it. Inside, we found dead bugs along the floor, which tells me it wasn’t cleaned very well. Then, upon checking the beds, one comforter had a blood stain on it (very small), and when turned over had a big yellow stain on it as well. The place was very hot since the air was turned up so high and it took a long time for the upstairs to cool off. The upstairs also had a nasty smell due to the air not being turned down for us. When pulling back the comforters, there were pieces of dirt on the sheets in the upstairs bedrooms. The two upstairs beds were the most uncomfortable beds I think we’ve ever slept on. The upstairs king and queen beds were high in the middle and sloped off on both ends. Also, we didn’t realize until we got the instructions that there wasn’t WiFi at the place. Nowadays, that is just expected that a place offers WiFi. The place needs to update their beds and comforters, as well as needing to bed much more thoroughly cleaned!
The property was as described but the cabin needs some repairs and the hut tub had broken jets we spent most of our time on the back deck enjoying the views all the local attractions are close
The best view of all the cabins in this area. Good privacy from others. An extra suprise was down a short trail from the back yard. The cabin was older than some others in the area, but it was nice and had a much better location. It was just a short drive to the attractions. Our whole family enjoyed it. The host was very good at messaging bach right away with any questions or concerns.
We had a great family getaway at this location
We were pleasantly surprised that this cabin met and exceeded our expectations. Clean, charming, spacious, and welcoming. Secluded without having a difficult terrain to get there. The view from the deck and fire pit was phenomenal!! Our boys were playing in a local music festival at the Red, and this was a perfect place for us to relax before and after the show. Without a doubt, Hickory Ridge was the best cabin on the ridge! We are already making plans for a return visit!
Great view, nice staff, decent rental. For the money, however, I would have expected a bit more. Limited utensils, glasses and cookware. No Wi-Fi. None of these were deal-breakers, but for the price I would have expected a little higher-end details. On the plus side, one of the best views in the area.
We really enjoyed our stay here! The view from the back deck and fire pit area is amazing. The only downside was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. There was mold in the shower, mostly around the glass shower door. Otherwise, our stay was perfect.
What a fabulous location for a quick getaway. My friends and I had a girls weekend and it was perfect size, amenities and location to unplug.
Beautiful stay! Clean and spacious. Great neighborhood walks!
It was a great place to get away for a weekend. The views and trails were amazing.
great cabin, great view!
We were notified (after I contacted booking) that our cabin had no heat. We were moved to a smaller cabin with only one shower (5 people) and one less bedroom. We were told this was the only available cabin. We did not have a hot tub at the new location either. The worst part initially was the entry to the property. It was very steep and the roads were icy and we ended up having to go buy road salt. Then the night before our last full day the water stopped working. The cabin itself was nice (except for the bullet hole in a window) with a frozen pond view but it was not what we were wanting after traveling 13 hours from Florida. I hope this was an isolated incident.
Overall…a nice stay
Great location, Clean cabin with awesome fire pit and views
We really enjoyed our stay here. The view is fabulous, and the cabin is clean and comfortable. The hot tub was nice after a day of hiking. Kitchen needs the addition of more cereal bowls. 3 isn’t nearly enough for a cabin that can handle 6 guests. We were told to bring towels, but didn’t need to. But really, it was all good.
We loved our stay at the cabin. The mattresses need to be replaced-very lumpy and one bedroom upstairs had black things in the bed. We had a good time.
