Our stay was very enjoyable. House was very clean. The view from the deck overlooking the valley below was amazing. Communication with the host was top notch. As stated in other reviews, the house does not have Wifi. We knew that when we booked, and it wasn’t a problem for us.
The view is amazing. Plenty of room. Please note the home doesn't have WiFi which was a bit of surprise especially in an area with poor cell coverage. Otherwise the home is in a great area with breathtaking views of Pilot mountain. The host was very responsive and helpful.
Becky was extremely nice and provided wonderful communication! She gave great instructions and kept us well informed! The description of the home was accurate and it was very clean! View from the deck was beautiful!! The beds were quiet firm... but some prefer firm beds :). Would definitely stay again!
Awesome vacation with my daughters! House was very well equipped. Got the lower level all to myself which was great. Sunday we woke up to fog, it was an all day fog. Probably the best day spent there. A lot of cooking and alot of napping. Spent one whole day in Mount Pilot. Seemed like we went to every shop downtown.
Generous, very accommodating Host. Very spacious home. The view is quite beautiful. We had plenty of room to spread out. The community pool was a blast for us. Our stay was a short but very enjoyable weekend.
Our favorite part of our stay was the deck and the beautiful view. We loved the house but the deck is where everyone wanted to be. Close to Mayberry which we had so much fun visiting, touring and exploring. Enjoyed Blue Ridge Parkway and our stops at Mabry Mill and Pilot Mountain. Hope to be able to return again! Becky is an amazing host!
Beautiful place with everything you need on hand
The view was beautiful! Plenty of space, and bathrooms, for 6 women. Becky was awesome I'm at keeping in touch with any necessary information and questions. Once you pass through the access gate, the road up wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be.. There is a spot that we named pipe alley because there is a pipe sticking up right in the middle of the gravel cut through you have to take to continue up to the cabin. This needs to be addressed by the community. It isn't anything Becky can handle. It isn't on her property. We had a great time and would recommend this place to others.
It was a very relaxing place to stay. The view is beautiful. Close to Mt Airy, NC. Becky was great to work with. We would definitely stay here again!
The cabin at Cascade Mountain Resort provided the perfect rendezvous spot to visit with friends we had not seen for several months due to relocating after retirement. The cabin was spacious and comfortable for three couples, the views were breathtaking and the fellowship was precious. All the ingredients for a memorable weekend. Also, our host, Becky, was always accommodating and prompt with our questions and requests.
I and our family loved it, had fun. So pretty , beautiful mornings and evenings. The house is equipped with everything you may need.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. There is a lot to like about the property, especially the view. Honesty, the view alone is worth five stars, and the house itself is functional and decorated well. We had a few significant issues with our stay, primary among them was the infestation of caterpillars on the ground floor. The hosts were wonderfully responsive about this issue, however, there was nothing that could be done about the bugs because they had just treated the property for that very issue. My kids were staying on the ground floor, and were having to constantly step over caterpillars in their bedrooms and in the bathrooms, which stressed out one of my kids significantly, which kind of ruins that relaxed vacation vibe we were seeking. Also, a great deal of the furniture was either broken and/or in significant disrepair. For example, the porch rocker on the deck (as seen in the photos) was broken, along with the platform that you can see it resting on. The tall fabric stools on the deck were also in bad shape, with holes in the seats and/or collapsed in the middle. This is the same issue with all of the dining room chairs on the second level - they tried to put pillows in the seats to offset the collapse in the middle, but there was precious little support to be had from them. Also, the deck itself seems to be in pretty rough shape, especially the stairs and post caps, which were loose. Finally, the bed in the loft was awful because the mattress was broken/collapsed in the middle and overly firm around the outside. I deal with neck and shoulder issues, and sleeping on the loft bed exacerbated those significantly. Overall, the property served it's purpose as a home base while we visited Fancy Gap, however, I am not sure that we would stay here again unless the bug, deck, and furniture issues were resolved.
Thoroughly enjoyed the house and the spectacular views!
Easily to contract for rental. Awesome location.
As a family we have had a rough 2022. This was the perfect place for us to be together and remember and laugh and cry.. the cabin had everything needed and was set up to make check in so easy. Becky was wonderful keeping us updated on the opening of the pool, etc. the view from the deck was absolutely amazing. Everyone loved the solitude that they talked about wanting to vacation there again.
This property is amazing! This is best view in Cascade trail. Becky was great to communicate with and made everything very easy. Relaxing in the middle of nature and not far from local antiques, farmers markets and food. Not to mention Mt.Airy Andy Griffiths home town
