We had a wonderful time in the Big Horns. It was great to come home to the house for our supper meal and some reading, relaxing, & enjoying the peace & quiet. The kitchen was stocked very well, the beds were great. We had a bit of a problem finding the right road to get to the home at first but we figured it out. It might be helpful if there was a flag or something to identify the road to turn at. Just a thought but certainly nothing that was a big deal!! All in all it was a wonderful home base!!
Quiet, nice place to get out and walk, too. Beautiful view. Close to Shell and Shell Canyon for getting up into the mountains. Kitchen was well-equipped, even with little things like spices and sugar. We enjoy quiet places that are tucked away, and this suited us perfectly!
This remote property was comfortable and worked out for our family. The cabin was stocked with great linens, dishes and laundry area. The view is amazing and sunsets were beautiful. Internet was great. It was a super hot week and we were comfortable with the provided AC units and fans. Cabin has great artwork and loved the artistic touches and birds. We were visiting family 20 minutes away. I grew up on the opposite side of the BigHorns, so we had many days enjoying this side. Yellowstone, Cody and Beartooth canyon were nearby day trips. Amazing views and loved seeing wildlife. The dogs loved the walks in the country and in the mountains.
Very nice place to stay close to the Bighorns
Our family planned a trip to the Bighorns and randomly picked this little cabin to stay at. We were very happy with our stay here. Everything you expect when staying at a rental (but don’t always get), plus some extra. We came out to ride our Side by side, which lots of good trails only about 30 minutes away. We did not feel the cabin lacked any amenities. There was a lot more room than expected, as we had plenty of room for cooking, eating, playing games, and just having a good time. Beautiful view of the bighorns from the front porch which was great in the morning and evening. My kids loved it, my wife loved it, and I loved it. This cabin really rounded out our trip perfectly. Thank you for the hospitality and we look forward to staying here the next time we come up to the area from Colorado.
Such a nice, neat little place to stay!! Close to the Bighorns
I am fortunate or unfortunate however you want look at to rent 8 to 9 homes a year for work and travel. This particular rental was a true gem. Owning a farm myself, I really enjoy the Agricultural feel of the area and Shell valley is a wonderful mosaic of color and natural landscapes. I noticed one review mentioning the remoteness which would be in the eye of the beholder. There were many farm houses and homes in the area. It’s not an urban hub but that’s why it is such a lovely cabin. Thanks again to the wonderful hosts.
Such a cozy, comfortable, private and quiet stay right outside the Bighorn National Forest. The view of the mountains from the cabin was stunning and the park itself was an absolute treasure! The kitchen was very well equipped and the bed very comfortable. We would absolutely stay again and recommend to all!
Beautiful are the only words to describe the views and peacefulness of this cabin. A true gem in one of the most unique places I’ve ever visited. Clean and neat. I would highly recommend.
Stayed here for a Friday/Saturday night. Was just what we needed. Quiet, beautiful view of the Big Horn Mountains. Cabin was very well put together and everything was thought about. Only issues was the oven did work and we were unable to bake our cinnamon rolls.
Had problems with blowing a breaker everytime too much stuff is plugged in. It was 100 degrees outside and the air conditioning did not keep up and the refridgerator would not cool below 40 degrees. Otherwise the cabin was quaint and the beds very comfortable. Great to have the space to let the kids run off energy. All in all it was a good vacation and the scenery was beautiful.
A great place to sleep while exploring the region. The house is small - but so well equipped and designed. You can tell there was a lot of thought put into both the aesthetic design of the house as well as the practical amenities. It's a tiny but well stocked kitchen with everything you would need - loved the industrial fridge/counter and the gas stove. The bathroom was well stocked with nice water pressure. The sheets were clean and good quality with plenty of extra bedding if needed. We did yoga on the front covered porch in the mornings and enjoyed the hanging swing. But you can't use the yard for much else (think sage, thorns, and pokey dead grass). Fine for our dog to wander around but the kids couldn't play in the yard. The stars were beautiful at night. Big Horn National Forest was pretty close - we loved the swimming holes and exploration of Shell Falls and the drive through the canyon to Sheridan. We were there over 4th of July and enjoyed the fireworks in Greybull. The two things that would really improve the experience would be to add an additional half-bath with a toilet/sink. One bathroom for the whole group was tricky at times. And better internet - it was spotty, kept going out, and weak when it was working. Overall we had a great time and would stay here again.
