Thanks so much for having us in your home! I had such a wonderful time your home is the true meaning of cozy relaxing - to say the least it felt like home, so much so we had to stay one extra day. It rained almost all weekend, however the atmosphere made it very pleasant. I will definitely come back again in a few month as a quick getaway since I'm just in Charlotte. Thanks see you soon.
Thank you so much. What a beautiful cabin, we had a wonderful time here on our Honeymoon. Hot tub, dinner at Louisiana Purchase, then relaxing with a beautiful fire and yes - SNOW! What more could you ask for Pet Friendly!!! Our baby Reba loved all of it. This has been one of the most romantic getaways we have ever had. So peaceful.
This cozy two bedroom plus loft log cabin is charming and private with all extras including hot tub, wood-burning fireplace and wrap-around porch.

This popular log cabin is an absolute charmer - just what you dream about when you want to experience the mountain life. The hand-hewn authentic logs, the hardwood heart of pine floors, the 30 ft. stacked stone wood-burning fireplace, exposed beams and many other extras are perfect for offering the mountain atmosphere. Each article in this cabin was chosen with care.

All of the furniture is unique and the best quality. The house is furnished with many mountain crafts, antiques, original paintings and eclectic knick knacks. On your visit you will spend a great deal of time just walking around looking at all the details. The two bedrooms each have a comfortable queen size bed and an additional queen bed in the lofted area. The two bathrooms are also charming with log mirrors and look out onto the mountain greenery with one window facing a bed of wild ferns. The living room has leather sofas and hand-made tables, custom drapes, and hardwood floors. The dining room seats six with a deer antler chandelier overhanging the table. And, a newly added air hockey table. The outside of the house is just as charming as the inside with a wrap-around porch with swings, and rockers, stick furniture and best of all the hot tub. The privacy of this location allows you to roam freely around the property and enjoy its beauty. This house is in the heart of historic Valle Crucis and only two miles from the historic Mast General Store. It is also centrally located to all tourist attractions and is within ten minutes of ski slopes, snow tubing, shopping, river access and Appalachian State University.

I had a whole comment typed but not enough characters allowed. Basically this place was stocked with only enough kitchenware for 4 people to have to wash dishes every day, no food storage for leftovers. We come up from Fl during the winter and this place barely had any blankets, thin ones and nothing heavy. We slept in winter clothes. With the heat higher than the masking tape instructions. Only a regular coffee maker so don’t bring Kcups. There was Masking tape with notes, and notes taped to everything in the house instructing you how to do everything how they wanted you to do it. Felt like my grandma’s house. No fire wood, never had a house not have any firewood supplied. The “common room” is not a room, a loft open to the rest of the house. Something we were looking for was 3 separate rooms. The whole outside was mildewed, the deck, chairs etc. . The game room had an air hockey table with sand all over it. The “pet friendly” property had zero yard for any dogs to do their thing. Any house that we have stayed in prior has been well supplied for a family for a week. From the welcome baskets, to all the supplies mentioned above needed for a winter stay. We left a day early because of the incoming storms that week. But it was a bit of a relief to get back to a well stocked home.

The log cabin is a cozy little home that was a perfect fit for our family of 6! We super appreciated that dogs were allowed so we could bring our dog! The cabin is in a gorgeous area! Our only complaints are the lack of well working jets in the hot tub (but we still super enjoyed it!) and the very squeaky bed downstairs. Anytime we moved it was so loud. Neither of us slept well all weekend

Super cozy, pet-friendly log cabin just off highway 105. Short drive to Boone, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, etc. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend. The only negative was the downstairs bed. You can’t move without it squeaking - which is very loud at night. We had to sleep upstairs. Otherwise, a perfect spot if you’re in the Boone area.

The only reason I gave the overall rating a 3 is because the hot tubs jets were barely running. We always pay extra to get cabins with a nice hottub but this one was just like sitting in a hot bath. So we definitely did not get our money's worth. Although they did say they could send a technician out but if he had to drain it..it wouldn't be ready by the time we left. Other than that and the outside deck having cobwebs the house is very nice and clean on the inside. We did have to clean the outside deck table. It is close to everything and easy to get to. Plenty of kitchen items if you plan on cooking. I won't stay there again unless they upgrade the hot tub.

Excessive posted notes throughout the property, 28 to be exact! Took the WELCOME vibe completely out of the stay and was tacky. There is zero views, property is encased with natural landscape literally up to the homes walls. Porch ceiling leaked, puddled and was extremely dirty, which made it uncomfortable to relax on the porch during inclement weather. Bagged trash was left and you could smell it from afar. The home is very small, outdated and the pictures do not dictate so. However, The location was great to amenities. Bottom line for the money invested…We will not be staying here in the future. We both thought this was exceptional. Having frequently stayed in this area over the years we were both impressed with Hummingbird! Beautiful setting, nicely furnished and a well-stocked kitchen. I have to commend Blue Ridge for their attention to detail and the care and assistance they provided before and during our visit.

Hummingbird Hollow was fantastic. Easy to find and we especially appreciated how close it was to everything. Major trails, the Blue Ridge Parkway, all the towns you’d want to visit. Despite the proximity to all major attractions in the are the property was secluded and felt very private. We only stayed the weekend but maximized the time we had. The cabin was well appointed, clean, and had everything we (or you) would need for a comfortable stay. I have to add that the host was always responsive, usually within 10 minutes if we had a question. 10/10 would stay here again. Thanks for the great trip!

Beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. Our time went by too fast. We wanted to unplug and relax, and this location was perfect for what we needed. Tucked away for privacy, but close enough to local attractions.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hummingbird Hollow. It is in a convenient location to enjoy all of the neighboring towns. Very private setting with peace and tranquility. A perfect set up with the amenities for any duration of stay. Thanks again for our lovely stay.
