HUGE AMAZING Mtn Views! Great Location! Hot Tub! Game Room! Spacious! Privacy!

This was my first vacation with my family in 10 years and the most I have ever spent on accommodations. Here are the pros and cons of staying at Above the Mist:PROS:Fantastic views (especially loved the swing on the deck)Easy check in processExcellent host communicationComfy master bed with AC unit that kept room coolThe cabin was decorated nicely and had a homey feeling. We felt safe in it and found the area quiet and relaxing. Close to activities/restaurants/national parkCONS:Spent first 30 mins of vacation cleaning: host may want to invest in better cleaning service for cabin. Fridge, counters, and windows were dirty. Jetted tub (which I was super excited about, had 30-40 small insects in it. I did not get in that tub). Main shower had large spider that had taken up residence and another 20 or so of the same bugs from jetted tub were noted in my showerMold noted on stairs to hot tub and on the wooden chairs outsideHot tub not as clean as expected-bugs/hairCan opener defective. Had to purchase oneSinks in downstairs and master needed cleared-water would not easily go down and pooled when brushing teethClean pile of bath towels in master had hair on them1 dish towel in kitchen. I found myself using paper towels to hand wash dishes. There was no dish drainer or dish pan. This made it inconvenient to hand wash dishes. Had the above issues not been there, I could have easily rated this a 5 star vacation experience.

We stayed at this beautiful cabin for 10 nites and it was amazing! The view can’t be beat. The cabin was spotless and very comfortable. We all slept great! We enjoyed the pool table and arcade games and played a lot of cards. There is a store close and it doesn’t take long to get to all the major attractions but you feel like you are not close to all the bustle. It is very quiet and peaceful. Communication with the host was excellent from booking through our stay! Highly recommend and we will be back if we come back to the Smoky’s!

10/10!!! host was amazing, house was so clean and taken care of. view was amazing. well stocked kitchen. both toddlers and adults were satisfied! not baby proofed at all but we took gates & door knob covers and it was perfectly fine for a 1 & 3 year old kids loved it!!! will book w them again (:

Beautiful cabin with amazing views.

Very nice cabin. Beautiful view. I would say one thing that needs addressed is the shower heads in the bathroomOn first floor and master bathroom. Shower experience was subpar at best.

This is an terrific cabin! Pictures cannot capture how amazing the views are! Add in the hot tub on the balcony, pool table, and games (arcade and board), and you've got plenty of fun activities if you get rained in. Three bedrooms and three full bathrooms (one on each floor) provide plenty of space. It's within 10 to 20 minutes of all of the activities in Pigeon Forge or 30 minutes to the national park. Overall it's one of the best and most memorable cabins we've stayed in.

The house did not disappoint. The view was absolutely amazing. The kids loved the game room down stairs. The owner was in constant contact with us checking in. We will definitely like to come back again.

As advertised: incredible view, clean cabin, and excellent communication with owner. We had a great weekend in the Smokies.

This place was as advertised. A lot of new construction happening on the same road, and that road is steep...so be careful and drive slow.

It was amazing! I love the area that it's in it gives you secluded but there's tons around you if you need any necessity's very cozy, nicely decorated and quiet I do think I heard a bear or something walking in the woods later at night only noice i herd even while they were building a house a few 100 yards away. Can't wait to return!

Wonderful views. The cabin was perfect.

Property was exactly as described. The kitchen was equipped very well and the beds were very comfortable. The fireplace was not working when we arrived however, the owners had it fixed immediately once our concern was reported. The view cannot be beat.

Great views

We have stayed at this cabin before and it was even better this time. Everything is clean and the view is the best. The driveway is easy to get into and out of and the road up the mountain is moderate compared to others. This is definitely my family’s favorite cabin.

Beautiful and very clean cabin, with spectacular views! We enjoyed escaping the crowds for the silence and peace at the end of each day. We had a great first visit to this Sara and will definitely be back!

From a breath taking view of the smokies, to a tasty home cooked meal in the comfort of the cabin, every part of the stay was pure bliss. The cabin was clean and well maintained, there was excellent communication between the host, and the view and every little detail in between was perfect. I would love to return and recommend this beautiful getaway to anyone looking for a spot in the smokies!

Everything was great with this VRBO. Unfortunately, the people that rented the house next-door were unruly partying until midnight.

fantastic views very clean well stocked first of many cabins that we have stayed in that had toiletries included very nice touch loved the option of k cup or brew a pot of coffee visited by bears on several days very short drive to the strip grocery and all attractions would definitely stay again

We had a wonderful family and friend trip at this mountain cabin getaway. The pictures on the website are amazing, but seeing the views in person is simply stunning. Very comfortable and fun space for couples or families looking to unplug and relax. Dinner or coffee on the deck has a real ambience to it. Short, scenic drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. The hosts stayed in communication before and during the visit. The warnings about bears are real, we had a fairly close encounter, but the property and decks are protected well and we felt safe. We would love to visit again someday. 10/10!

We chose this house for our first visit to TN because of the view and interior, and are VERY glad we did.It was perfect for our family of four and everyone had plenty of space to either be together or have some quiet time throughout the week. The two decks were amazing and it literally felt like we were the only house around no matter the time of day or night. Rob was always quick to reply/answer questions from initial booking to the end of the stay and there were no major issues that needed addressing.Not being used to hill/mountain driving, either approach to the house (road is basically a loop) was nerve-wracking the first couple days, but we quickly adjusted and learned to take it slow, watching out for other vehicles coming the other way, etc. After the learning curve, it was absolutely worth it for the view and solitude.I highly recommend this house and Rob as a host. Thanks!

Above the Mist was fantastic! The views are truly incredible. The house was very comfortable for our family of five. The location is also perfect. We spent one day at Dollywood and one day in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and both were short drives. Rob was a wonderful host and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend Above the Mist. 5 stars to be sure!

Above the Mist was an absolute gem! Perfect for our family of five. Stunning views, super comfortable accommodations, games for the kids to play at night, close to everything - Dollywood, hikes, shopping, restaurants. Perfect location and perfect get away.

My family enjoyed 5 nights here. We've rented cabins in the Pigeon Forge area in the past and this one blew the others away. Our favorite thing to do was enjoy our morning coffee on the deck taking in the view. We also enjoyed the game room and hot tub. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this one!!

Stayed at this cabin for 3 nights with a family of 9. The view is absolutely amazing! The location is great, just a few miles outside of the main pigeon forge area, but very secluded. The cabin is very spacious and has lots to do (games, hot tub, arcade, TVs etc). I would like to call out the service from our hosts! The first morning we got up and the keurig wasn’t working. No big deal, we went and coffee at a nearby Starbucks. I messaged our hosts just to let them know that it wasn’t working. They sent a brand new one from Instacart the same day! On top of that they communicated every step of the way to make sure we’d have someone there to get it. That is above and beyond customer service! Over all the cabin was great, if I had to pick a “con” I’d say that sound carries a fair bit inside the cabin. This didn’t really cause any issues but it could for some groups.

This is a place where you arrive and never want to leave. The views are breathtaking. All we wanted to do was sit on the balcony and stare off into the distance. The cabin is close to town so very convenient to Pigeon Forge activities and just a brief drive to Gatlinburg as well. Everyone in our group was satisfied with amenities and bed comfort. Cabin was clean and well kept. We cooked a few times and the kitchen pots/pans/dishes/utensils were sufficient but I’d suggest updating the cookie sheets. If you want to exercise just walk up and down the road leading to the cabin. It’s steep and a lung burner for sure. The pool table and arcade games were great fun and the hot tub was a great way to relax after a long day of activity away from the cabin. We had a great stay and were sad to have to leave. Hope to visit again one day.

we really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. the location was beautiful, the view was amazing as advertised. The cabin was very clean and it has close proximity to downtown but location is very secluded and quiet. Loved our stay , would highly recommend this cabin and would most definitely stay here again. The hosts were great and made sure everything was good with check in and throughout our stay.

Clean comfortable convenient

The views are amazing as stated!! You will not be disappointed. We loved relaxing on the porch swing taking in all the views. It was very quiet when we stayed. We also loved playing pool during our down time. Part of our crew enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin is close enough to have grocery and food deliveries. Cabin was clean. Check-in was easy. We would stay here again!!

Cabin has all the good stuff for kids to stay entertained and adults to relax. Plenty of pans and dishes which was good since we ate many of our meals at the cabin. We rented it for the view and the games and it didn't disappoint.

The property was nice. The views were beautiful. We were visiting with our 2 adult children and their significant others. Everyone enjoyed the cabin and the proximity to Pigeon Forge.

We had a fantastic trip, this was our second time staying in this cabin. We had issues with the cabin not being clean when we checked when we arrived initially but they got us in the cabin within 2 hrs.

Best part of this property is the view. Hands down. Cabin is as it is listed.

We had 3 couples each having a private Bedroom & Bath. A nice kitchen & gathering area & a deck with an Amazing View! There were stores, restaurants & plenty of entertainment within a few miles. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a fun time !!
