Fennville, Michigan
For anyone looking to relax, while having close access (8 minutes) to a vibrant lake community, this cabin has it all. The cabin is a short drive to the beaches of Douglas, Saugatuck and the Downtown with its many bars. We are also on the InterUrban route, so for those who don't wish to drive and fight for Downtown parking the Intern urban will take you door to door!
From Spring breaks, summer vacations, fall color tours and a snow lodge in winter, we really do have something for everyone. We're also dog welcoming :)
The cabin has a stunning cathedral aspect that looks out onto the lawn and surrounding woodland and was built within the last 20 years, so while it has all the charm you’d expect from a cabin, it also has modern conveniences.
The interior has been finished to a high standard and features stunning timber pillars supporting the gallery and staircase. The main level is open plan and has a natural flow between rooms and plenty of light. If you’re traveling with anyone that might prefer to avoid a second floor sleeping space, you’ll be happy to know the master bedroom and en suite is on the first floor, as is the half bath.
We can comfortably sleep 8 people, with two en-suite bedrooms, a loft area above the kitchen; sofas, sofa beds and a new trundle bed (x 2 twin XL).
The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with everything you should need for making meals at home. The island range looks out into the large living room and you have a clear view of the woodland through those amazing windows. And the walkout basement leads directly to a lovely sun trap and a 5 person hot tub is nestled in the middle of the new patio, a perfect place to relax in the warm bubbles.
It goes without saying but one of the best features of the property is the land. Just behind the house at the end of the large lawn is a pond, which has seating around a fire pit and to the left of the pond begins the 10 acres of private trails that circle the property ending at a small ravine. The trails are a wonderful place to walk, talk, or sit with a glass of wine and watch for our resident wildlife that include turkeys, deer and bird
HOT TUB: PLEASE READ
We make every attempt to ensure the hot tub is in service, hot, clean, and ready for your arrival. However, due to Covid-19, manufacturing shortages are an unfortunate reality and there is the possibility that the hot tub may not be in service due to things beyond our control. However, the hot tub has been in service 100% of the time thus far but we cannot guarantee its functionality. We do not charge extra for this amenity, and offer it as a courtesy. If you are booking our house because of the hot tub, PLEASE message us prior to booking, and if it is not working we will let you know. If you have already booked and it is not in service for your stay we will offer a 10% discount on your nightly rate for the days it is out of service. A full refund will not be issued if the hot tub is not in service during your stay.
WIFI: PLEASE READ
Due to the rural location, we can only provide internet for Netflix. For all other internet services, you will need to use your phone as a hotspot. 4G and LTE signals are strong in this area. We also provide a large selection of DVDs and some books for you to enjoy during your stay.
To be honest, it was just a group of five adults staying there but there are dog crates available for use and gates at the stairs on the main level which is great for both dogs and kids. It’s a well appointed house with lots of places to sleep and two en suite bathrooms. It was very cold while we were there so we didn’t enjoy the screened porch but it was lovely. Hot tub fit all of us, and my only gripe is that the chemicals were over the top—even the vapor was strongly chemical and hurt our sinuses and throats. My bathing suit still smells like chlorine even after a full wash. But perhaps that is just par for the course with a rental that has back to back bookings and a lot of different people using it. Still, would definitely come back here. Truly a great place, very comfortable and clean! Ash is a great host and sent a lot of info for enjoying the surrounding areas. Super appreciative of that!
We were looking for a cozy cottage that was still near fun hikes, the beach, stores. This is it! Also pet friendly with great added touches such as gates for the stairs and a large crate to use while you are out. Fun trails for the doggies on the property. Perfect escape!
Stayed at this lovely cabin with my husband, grown kids and my kid’s pup during our first trip to Michigan. Lots of space to spread out and a great main room perfect for games and dinners. Lots of nice touches. Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the property much due to rain but it looked vast and beautifully kept.
Had a amazing time at the cabin, lots of great amenities along with a great backyard. Plenty of room for all 8 of our guests. Was super clean on arrival and had the easiest time checking in and out. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick and relaxing weekend getaway.
Great Stay. Wonderful home
Overall great place would stat there again. Only thing was upon Arrival there was a mikes hard lemonade can in the front yard,a coffee cup in the back yard and most concerning was broken wine glass and cork and rusty nail in picnic area. Only reason not 5 stars across the board.. Thanks to Ash you were great host
We had an excellent fourth of July weekend. Went into Saugatuck for a great boat ride on the star of Saugatuck. Are delicious steak dinner at Butler's
We are two retired couples and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Cabin Haven. Wineries, breweries, shops & restaurants all within 15 minute drive. Home was well-furnished and spotless. Our dog couldn’t get enough of the yard & short trails on the property. Ash is a great host who was quick to respond to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again!
The cabin was very nice. I would say a good fit for teens and adults. Our kids are younger and the small fingerprints they left on a wall on accident was used against us when we didn't realize it happened. Overall it was good but the communication at the end should have been a phone call and not a text as things were misunderstood on our end with things we felt bad about.
We had a fantastic time. The home offered plenty of room for 8 of us and the yard is great for game playing, bonfires, and star gazing. Would stay there again.
Loved wandering around the woods with our dog and relaxing in the hot tub. Beautiful home and property!
Great location on 20 acres. Peaceful, quiet, but within 15 minutes of Lake Michigan beaches and quaint towns and wineries. Owner was super helpful and responsive.
