'Horse Thief Inn' Cabin Retreat w/ Deck & Hot Tub!

Perfect getaway for couples. Quietly tucked away into the woods, it's as if time stops at the horse thief. By far the most relaxing weekend we've had in 20 years. The owners were amazingly helpful and so sweet. Can't wait for our next trip.

Host was very welcoming and responsive to one minor issue. It was surprisingly peaceful and quiet, even though it’s right off of roadway. I would recommend to stay there again. I’m sure there are other cabins that they have nearby would be just a suitable.

The cabin is amazing. It's gorgeous and everything the pictures show that it is. The property is beautiful, and the privacy is wonderful. The cabin is only about 10 minutes from Wimberley Square, and close to everything you would want, wineries, distilleries, dining. If you're going to Wimberley, the Horse Thief Inn is the best place to stay. We will definitely be back.

Perfect getaway for our 20th anniversary

Loved how relaxing it was

The cabin and property were fantastic! My wife and I had a quiet getaway here for an anniversary trip. We loved the decor and style of the cabin and it's close to all of the shops and restaurants.

Clean, beautiful, delightfully decorated cabin with gorgeous tree filled outdoor space, fabulous hot tub, and huge wrap around porch. Very relaxing/rejuvenating getaway in great location! Nespresso machine was also a nice treat. There are a few other cabins within sight but it still feels very private and secluded and is just a short drive into town to boot. The bed was a bit soft for our aging backs, but no mattress will be ideal for everyone (just an FYI for other seniors). Very responsive property manager, who answered our questions promptly and provided great communication and customer service. It rained most of the time we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the porch/outdoor amenities (hammock, outdoor seating, Jenga, yard games) like we had hoped, but we were still able to use the hot tub, and it was wonderfully hot, clean, soothing, and just what we needed.A few minor suggestions for an even better stay/experience would include: (1) putting some ice trays in the freezer so that visitors don't have to go out and buy a bag of ice for drinks(2) adding a picture of the hot tub controls in the welcome manual so that those of us who are seniors and can't see very well in the dark (and rain) can figure out what the control panel icons/words are. (3) A few more wall hooks in the bathroom and/or bedroom for towels, coats, bathrobes, etc.Again, just minor improvements that would be nice, overall we really loved the cabin and would definitely stay there again!

The grounds were secluded enough to enjoy a needed peaceful and private retreat. The bed was incredibly comfortable. There were plenty of nooks to enjoy both indoors and out. Wonderful space!!

Beautifully decorated, quiet, and private

We loved our stay at the cabin. The relaxing music that we arrived to started off our stay nicely. The bed was comfortable, the pictures were accurate, the hot tub was clean, we saw deer each morning, communication was good. There's a property close by but you still felt secluded because you're surrounded by trees. It was exactly the relaxing getaway that we were looking for!

This property is so cute and cozy! There was attention to every detail. When we arrived there was relaxing music playing to kick off our relaxation! The decor was perfect, the king bed was super comfy, the hot tub was clean. All though there is another property about 75 yards away you feel completely secluded in the woods. It is the perfect stay for the quiet reset we needed. I hope we can visit again one day!

My husband and I travel often as we enjoy visiting thrift stores all across Texas. After spending the day thrifting in the surrounding area, The Horse Thief Cabin was the perfect spot to come home to. The cabin was clean and comfortable and the decor was unique and creative.

We loved the peace and quiet. It was a wonderful stay!
