Hoot Owl Cabin - Your home away from home!

The cabin was very nice and peaceful. Great for a weekend getaway. The host was very kind and informative.

The host, Jennifer, was great! Always friendly and quick to respond. The property was well kept and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, skillets, utensils, etc. The hot tub was clean, well maintained, and great to relax in. We didn’t use the fire pit given the time of year, but it was set up nicely with plenty of seating. You can’t go wrong with this property!

Cute and comfy cabin in a private setting. I personally love the hilly woods outside Bloomington. The complete kitchen and grill was appreciated so I didn’t need to fund every dinner at a restaurant for our group. The place looks like the pictures. A very nice touch was the cabin inside and out was decorated for Christmas.

The cabin was cozy, clean and the hot tub was perfect.

Hoot Owl Cabin is adorable! We stayed there over IU parents weekend (including the grandparents) and felt cozy and comfortable. The back deck is amazing, and we wished we'd had more time to enjoy it. It felt a teensy bit far from campus, but overall very doable and worth it. Only FYIs: Bring your own toiletries, ground coffee, and half and half so have what you need. We didn't plan properly!

A well maintained cabin and a great host.

This was our fifth time trying a VRBO, and this was by far the best! The cabin was clean and tastefully decorated. Convenient to IU campus for attending a football game. Had a minor issue with the AC, but the host was great to work with and quickly resolved the issue. We've already booked this again for next year/.

The cabin, yard and hot tub were very well maintained and clean. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. This is an awesome location. It’s close to campus for games and other IU activities but located in a more rural setting that makes you feel like you’re getting away from it all. Very close to Butler winery which we visited and enjoyed. Host responded right away to any question. We will book again!

Overall, our stay in the Hoot Owl Cabin was excellent!! It was cozy and clean, and the outdoor surroundings were very pretty. A few little issues were reported to the owner to be addressed, but we would happily return for another stay !! (The back porch is wonderful!!)

Beautiful picturesque cabin with a wonderful back porch! Clean and had everything we needed!

We enjoyed spending time at the Monroe Lake recreational area, and attractions in Bloomington!

Cabin was very spacious. Two bedrooms on the main floor with a bathroom and the king bed upstairs with a bathroom. The king bedroom also has a couch. Also upstairs was a pool table that actual had space to play where your pool stick wasn't hitting the wall. Kitchen had everything you need and dinning for 6. Living room had two couches so plenty of room to stretch out. TVs are streaming so bring your login list or Roku stick. Now for the outside! You drive up and park right next to the cabin and see a huge front porch. The back porch is even bigger! Covered and has some nice porch seating with a propane grill. Hot tub worked great and you can enter from the porch or walk around the privacy wall. Fire pit in the back is legit with wood and some very nice sturdy chairs, bring a lighter to get things started. I am a big guy and these chairs comfy. Wait there's more.....I am 51 and stayed in many of cabins in KY and TN and never once, not ever ever, did I have my own Pepsi machine. I kid you not, there is a Pepsi machine on site. Full disclosure--we hate Pepsi so I did not purchase anything but it was plugged in and running. Not far from Bloomington so you can stock up on groceries or have plenty of places to eat. Definitely recommend.

The cabin was beautiful and just as advertised. Lots of room, had everything we needed to prepare meals and be comfortable.

This is a great home in the woods. The owner has thought of everything. The sleeping arrangements are perfect for 2 couples or people that have different sleeping patterns. Master bedroom and bathroom upstairs, and 2 other bedrooms and another bathroom on the main floor. She has every pot or pan you would ever need. The hot tub and location are ideal!

Amazing cabin with great amenities. Situated in a picturesque area to calm your mind and allow you to destress. Great location to hiking trails or shopping.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very clean. The back deck area was beautiful. We will be staying again.

Very clean cabin. Beds were vert comfortable. The new covered back pirch is a great addition.

We stayed in Hoot Owl cabin with another couple. Cabin is in a neighborhood but is 6 miles on a twisty road off of rte 46. Entrance to the cabin road/driveway is hard to see and dangerous to exit (bushes on each side stick out too far.). Cabin itself is nice. Wasn’t thrilled with beds. Kitchen has a lot of kitchen stuff. Upstairs master suite on-suite had claw foot tub with shower curtain which looks cute but not taller people friendly. Cabin was clean, pool table is nice, hot tub worked well. We saw deer multiple times, two moms and their fawns. Lighting inside the cabin isn’t the best. Communication with host was good and timely. We won’t rent it again simply because of the location.

My wife and I had a great time relaxing in the cabin, playing pool, relaxing in hottub. We both woke up early to have coffee outside on the back porch. Will be back!

Lovely location and cabin. We enjoyed the deck, watching the fawns that showed up. Couple of minor glitches that the owner took care of immediately.
