Hocking hills backwoods retreat -Whispering Winds

It's a great space with plenty of room for two, quiet, comfortable, with almost everything you might need for a few days off the grid (just being a speaker of some kind if you want to listen to music). Close to Hocking Hills and Athens, close to a well stocked grocery store, as well as other attractions (kayaking looked like a lot of fun). Really enjoyed our stay and are strongly considering going back!

Tranquility at its best!

The cabin was very clean and very nice over all. The only downfall...and a big one..was the bed. It was SO uncomfortable and creaked loudly any time you moved the slightest bit. Also the rules posted literally everywhere was a bit much, as was the 5 cameras at the end of the driveway. I personally dont want to feel like i am under surveillance when i go on vacagion to get away.

We absolutely love this cabin. We are definitely making this location our new yearly vacation spot. I will definitely say that the pictures that they have posted for this cabin definitely doesn’t show how awesome this cabin is.The cabin was extremely clean, it smelled good when you walked in, the driveway also had easy access for our motorcycle to get in and out very easily, and the building manager did let us know beforehand that it was motorcycle accessible, so that was wonderful information. The cabin was very spacious, especially for being a two person cabin, the bathroom was a good size, the accommodations that they give, including silverware, dishes, glasses, a clean fridge to store your food, and of course, the outdoor table, and the hot tub. We were a little disappointed about the string of lights around the fire, there were about 5 to 10 lightbulbs that weren’t working. If you plan on cooking any meals at the cabin, I would definitely recommend bringing a much larger pan, and steak knives. The steak knives were very dull and they didn’t have anything bigger than a 4 inch pan to cook anything in so definitely if you’re doing bacon for breakfast Plan on bringing a big pan to cook it on. There was plenty of soap, the complementary paper towels, and everything else in the kitchen was still wonderful.

Hot tub was perfect temp. Cabin was really cute, very clean, modern, perfect for our stay.

Could not have been a more peaceful and enjoyable stay. Very clean house and property. Thank you for the attention to detail like all the pretty solar lights.

Great location and property. Needed some small touches. Floor was sticky when we came in. Need a floor or table lamp in the. Living room. The fan lights were too bright. Need a small chair in the bedroom. Very well maintained cabin. Loved the privacy and pond.

Cabin was very clean and inviting. Quiet and peaceful. The only negative was the noisy bed upon entry and exit. But still a nice experience.

You can’t beat the location of this place if you want something somewhat secluded but close to everything. It’s about 15ish mins from all the trails

Wonderful time away to relax and spend time together. Lots of fish stocked in the pond and lots of frogs to find.

This is our second stay here in two years. We love the place. Has everything almost, you could need. I wish knew how to talk to the owner and not have to put out a public review. Text me if you can.

We really enjoyed the cabin, it's a very private setting with a hot tub, fishing pond and fire pit. A perfect weekend getaway spot. It's close to Lake Logan and Hocking Hills State Park. I hope to book it again.

So first off pictures do not do it justice, It’s a cute little cabin very clean and homey feeling. Place was ready to go on time, communication with property manager was easy. Cabin had all we needed, TV, Hot Tub, full size kitchen appliances. Someone mentioned bed was not great, we slept fine just older mattress.even thought our trip rained we still got out for all the sites. This place is located very close to pretty much all of it, that made it super nice! Wasn’t able to use the fire pit but would have been great for two! I’ll definitely be looking to book here again!

The property was clean and comfortable. Everything worked as expected, although, the stove didn't seem to control temperature very well.

Unwelcoming. Certain there are reasons.. Quite minimalistic although not necessarily rustic. Very glad we brought blankets. So very many rules everywhere. Living area alone had rules on every one of the four walls.

Clean, attractive cabin with hot tub & pond. It's fairly secluded even though there is a cabin & house nearby. It's close to the parks & not far from Logan. Any issues we're quickly address.

Very nice cabin! Clean, neat, and well appointrd. Close to great hiking, good eats, and amenities.Only issue, the bed was hard as a rock and uncomfortable. If this is addressed, the cabin would benearly perfect!

We very much enjoyed our stay! The cabin is secluded but only 15 minutes from stores and restaurants. It’s also located very close to all the great local hiking trails! They have firewood, kindling and fire starters on-site for purchase. The cabin was very clean and perfect for 2 people. We will definitely be back!

This was our third time staying at Whispering Winds and it never disappoints. We love the pond, fire pit, and hot tub. It is always very clean and cozy, we will be back!

We booked our stay very last minute and we were very happy with the cabin. My husband and I wanted to get away for our 14th wedding anniversary and explore Hocking Hills. The cabin was in a great location, hidden in the woods, very private and exactly as described. No fuss check in and check out. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a excellent stay , very clean cabin with everything u could want. Hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking. Host was very accommodating even swapped out the coffee maker for me thanks for wonderful stay

Cabin and its contents were clean and in great shape. The location was very quiet and secluded. The hot tub and the pond also was a very nice addition. We will definitely consider another stay at this cabin in the future.

We loved everything about this cabin! Cute and clean. We spent our days fishing and caught alot! In the evening we enjoyed the grill, hot tub, movies and AC. Will definitely be back!
