Stayed Aug 6, 2021This cute little cabin is the perfect place to stay! Cozy, secluded, beautiful, and super homey! Bob and Lisa make everything super easy and welcoming! Cute little gift basket full of goodies and some fresh made baked goods were an amazing surprise! Close to a lot of beautiful hikes and scenery as well. Would definitely recommend and we are definitely going to visit again! We didn't want to leave!

Stayed May 27, 2021This is by far the most historically unique and authentically beautiful place to stay within a 2-hour radius of Bryce Canyon. The hosts are wonderful, personable, and communicate very well (they actually care about you). Can't recommend this place enough.

Stayed Oct 14, 2019We loved staying at the Old Bailey House. We wanted to get the historic feel of Escalante that you can’t get by staying in a regular hotel. We learned about the history of the Old Bailey House and how it survived through many years and now has been renovated by Lisa and Bob for others to enjoy for years to come. When staying at the Old Bailey House you feel like you are stepping back in time, yet the amenities are comfortable and it is relaxing and rejuvenating. The bed is super soft and the claw tub hot bath is great after a long day of hiking devils Gardens and canyons. Bob and Lisa are always available and Bob makes the best baguettes and leaves a fresh one for his guests. We just can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay at the Old Bailey was and we plan to return!

Stayed Oct 28, 2025This is the 2nd time we stayed at the Old Bailey Place. Lisa and Bob were so innovative to turn this rustic cabin into such a quaint retreat for all their guests. We would love to own such a place for ourselves. The cabin is close to all the scenic drives along the canyons and it is beautifully done up with everything a person could want. So lovely.

Stayed May 10, 2025What a perfect location for anyone looking to enjoy the beautiful back country in Utah! Bob and Lisa spruced this place up with all the amenities one might need, and provided plenty of ways to relax and learn more about the area. This cabin was perfect for each of my day excursions to Devils Garden & the slot canyons to the south, Calf Creek Falls to the north, and Bryce Canyon our west. Couldn't have found a better, more peaceful spot to call home for a few days in an unfamiliar landscape to this Midwesterner.

Stayed Mar 28, 2025Bob and Lisa really provided an incredible experience at the Old Bailey Cabin. Lovingly restored and very inviting, the Cabin made a great home base for us while we explored Grand Staircase-Escalante and beyond. The most pleasant surprise was Lil Miss, one of the resident semi-feral cats who was especially sweet and friendly with us during our visit. Can't wait to go back!

Stayed Sep 10, 2024The best word to describe The Old Bailey Place is “magical!” We spent two nights in this historic, beautifully decorated cabin. It was SO cozy! We loved the materials telling about the history of the place. The freshly baked bread and the basket of goodies provided were so thoughtful. The cabin is surrounded by sunflowers and lavender. We enjoyed watching birds and hummingbirds on the feeders. We will definitely go back.
