Welcome to Wind in the Pines Cabin. There have been many updates but we have not changed the character of the cabin.
This summer, there are now available two single kayaks and a tandem kayak, along with carts, paddles and PFDs. There is a new gas grill and many outdoor games. The fire pit has been rebuilt and some new landscaping has been added. The internet has been upgraded to 50 mbps. The garage will also be available for guests to use to for lacked storage. So bring your bikes! We even have the tire pump!
The kitchen remodel has added new cabinets, more counter space, a full set of appliances (dishwasher!), new flooring and even a built in charging station.
There is new or refinished flooring throughout the cabin. The master now has a new queen bed. Pot lights have been added to the living room. The spacious porch now has a silent ceiling fan. The older storm doors have been replaced by new ones with retractable screens. Custom curtains and new screens were added to the windows.
There is central air conditioning for those sultry summer days.
We have also added new games, puzzles and books just for the children! There is a Blu-ray player, with a selection of DVDs, plus a Roku for those rainy days.
One change from last year, guests will need to bring their own bedding, bath and/or beach towels. We will still provide basic paper products. There is no longer an additional cleaning fee.
Come stay with us and enjoy the Southern Adirondacks!
Exactly as owners described. I had an very enjoyable stay. I would stay again.
Beautiful area! Cute cabin, very comfortable. Very peaceful setting. We enjoyed our stay very much! The shower is a bit small and might be a concern for a larger individual, but worked fine for us.
We had a great stay in the cabin, which was very clean and had all necessities required for a comfortable place. Perfectly located nearby the lake with easy access to the major attractions in the Adirondacks area.
The cabin is up to date, and retains all the best features of a wonderful cabin. The cabin is situated on a nice piece of property with easy access to Lake Algonquin. Communication with Paul was great. I loved my stay!
Cozy cabin with a classic Adirondack look, It had everything needed for a long or short getaway.! Hosts were very helpful and conscientious!
We had a lovely week at the cabin, walked the perimiter of the lake almost every day, fished, kayaked, swam. We've already booked a return trip for next year.
This cabin was the perfect combination of rustic and comfort. The updated kitchen stands out as a wonderful feature. Lovely screened front porch. Cool amenities such as fishing poles and kayaks. The owners were very responsive, dropping off a dehumidifier due to the abnormally muggy weather during our stay. (Recommend this as a permanent addition) We look forward to staying there again next year!
We had a great weekend away. The cabin had everything you need and more. Communication was very easy. We definitely recommend
Absolutely love the cabin and the area. We are repeat renters
The cabin has everything we were looking for! It's nestled in near a beautiful lake, has kayaks so we could get out on the water, and is right in the heart of all the Adirondack beauty and hiking we could ask for. Our stay here was just what we needed. We loved it! ??????
The cabin was exactly as described and everything was perfect. The owners provided excellent, clear, and prompt communication prior to our stay and afterward (we didn't need anything from them during our stay, though I'm sure communication would have been similarly great if so). I highly recommend Wind in the Pines Cabin and would book again in the future.
My partner and I had a great time just relaxing by the fire and enjoying the area. It was quiet and the views were absolutely gorgeous! We loved kayaking on Lake Algonquin! We look forward to coming back! :)
Cozy, clean. Loved the fireplace and enjoyed the bear theme throughout the cabin. Kitchen well equipped
We enjoyed this stay! Something new and amazing! The house is very cozy and welcoming! The host, Paul, is very attentive and responsive to all needs! It was great long vacation, 5*****.
Very nice
Really nice property, Kayaks were a hit with our Grand-daughter. Took trips to Tupper Lake and the Wild Center and to Raquette Lake for a boat ride. I think her favorite trip was to Speculator for a Root beer Float.
Our family loved our week long stay at the end of July. We had the beach mostly to ourselves every day. Had fun using the kayaks, my husband and our teen used the two singles and I took our younger kids, (6 and almost 3) in the tandem kayak. It worked out perfectly! The carts made it easy to take them to the launch site the next street up. Cabin was a perfect size for us. Enjoyed the enclosed porch. And the little ones loved the kids size craft table and chairs! Had lots of pots/pans, dishes/ utensils, and a dishwasher! Owners were very friendly and responsive to any questions we had. Truly a wonderful spot! Thanks for letting us enjoy your lovely cabin!
Actually, it was even better than when we stayed last year, but that's only because the weather was much nicer. Beautiful area, nice little private beach within walking distance, popular fishing area also an easy walk away, great base of operations for exploring more of the Adironacks. Everything you need for a place to relax and explore a gorgeous area.
Love the cabin and the location. So relaxing; great place to get away.
