Hemlock Log Cabin on 5 Secluded Acres

The cabin itself is a gem, but that's it when you go outside. There's a cliffs that you could easily fall off right in front of cabin,and the incline, to get to the cabin is Terrible. You will definitely need a truck. This is not accessible friendly. Could not use hot tub attack by bees.

This was an awesome space for our family gathering! Such a beautiful cabin and fantastic hot tub. Also, the location was perfect right between the major trails in Hocking Hills. We definitely would go back if our journey takes us this way again.

Worked well for its location to hiking, bed configuration for our group of 5, fire pit and cooking at home.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hemlock Cabin. Kim was very responsive to our questions. The location was great and close to Hocking Hills State Park and most hiking trails. The beds and furniture were comfortable and we loved the gas fireplace. There were two bathrooms but only one shower. The kitchen was minimally furnished with silverware, pans, dishes and the coffee pot was only 5 cups. For the cost we felt the furnishings overall should have been more updated and complete.

This is a beautiful and comfortable home. It’s very clean. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and you have control over the air. The setting is beautiful, they have outside string lights and wood for the fire pit. We were there to hike Hocking Hills, and this was a comfortable place to come “home” to. We had a bit of an issue with the hot tub the first night because the jets weren’t right, but the second night, it was fine except it was loud. When I called the host to let her know, she was more than accommodating and even offered a reimbursement for the inconvenience and said she’d be sending the maintenance man out to repair it. The host is really friendly and helpful. The one thing I didn’t like is that there was a tip envelope for the cleaner. To be clear, it didn’t say you had to tip. Since you have to strip beds and clean up and take the garbage out, I was surprised. I’ve always tipped hotel workers but was never asked in a VRBO. I left a tip but would have rather not been asked.

The cabin was beautiful the property was beautiful. The driveway is very steep so be prepared for that. First night at about 1 AM we had a bat in the upstairs area that then dived at my Mom’s head. We trapped it into the room by closing the door. I texted the manager at 8AM to let her know what’s going on. She had someone come out that found some holes but no bats. Although on the bed there was bat droppings where we shut the bat in. Just felt like Kim didn’t really take the situation very seriously by putting it on us that we needed to contact her in the middle of the night when the property manager that came said he wouldn’t have checked his messages anyway at that time. (When we came back he had caulked so many places shut where bats could have came in) Overall beautiful place! Just might have a few extra friends staying with you! Overall

The house is cute and clean, but we had a few issues. The listing boasts a secluded 5 acre property, however we were within visibility and heating range of other neighbors. On the first morning, one of our vehicles had hands and a face print on the back driver side window. I have a picture. The grill igniter did not work. The handsoap was very watered down. The kitchen lacks essential items like cooking spray and a spatula that isn't melted or chewed up. And then at the day of check out, my friends and i locked the door at 10:59 and the whole time we were cleaning and packing, someone, I'm guessing the owner or a cleaner, circled the driveway over and over until we left.

Beautiful setting for this spacious cabin. Nice kitchen, hot tub, fire pit, and outdoor grill for a comfortable stay. Nice porch to sit and enjoy nature!

This was a absolutely beautiful property.. i severely enjoyed myself.. wishni could have stayed longer.. only issue we had is it is not handicap/elder friendly.. lots of stairs.. i wasn't aware you dont have access to the ground level doors so a couple of my family members hand a difficult time getting around. Also its super slippery outside.. it is on a hill with a small cliff and the gravel makes it especially slippery

Nice, but only one shower. The full bath with only a tub was just frustrating. Also, there were only 4 kitchen chairs.

We were only here 2 nights but it was a great stay. The area is beautiful. A few less stairs would have been very helpful.

This was a great little cabin, perfect for a relaxing winter getaway. The gas fireplace made the ambiance perfect, and it was a comfortable place to relax.

The cabin was close to all caves ( Conkles hollow is the closest) and was very clean and suited our party of 6 perfectly. It was stocked with plenty of towels and bedding and other amenities that we needed. The WiFi was good enough for 6 of us to be connected with no issues and even a login for YouTube tv was provided.The Hottub was ready to go and a perfect temperature. The only downside is you have to walk down from the upstairs porch to get to the hottub,fire pit and grill. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

The property was a little smaller than it looked in the pictures, but was fine for 4 women. We had cool, rainy weather so didn't get to use the fire pit, but the hot tub was great.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Everything was exactly as advertised and the location was great as well.

Stay was nice. Cabin was cozy. Hope tub was good. Communication was great until check in. Code was set wrong to enter home. Took 2 and a half hours to hear back from host. Tried contacting through multiple sources. Was in cold with little signal trying to get in the cabin. Sad that it ruined our plans Friday night. I’m not one to leave even a slightly negative review, but that was frustrating. Would be nice to have some sort of compensation for our trouble. Everything else was great.

Lots of steps for an area with lots of hiking. Tv was complicated. Clean and well taken care of.

We all enjoyed the stay, close to all caves and falls, quick access to dining in Logan.

We had a very nice time. The only complaint is some of the dushes were put away dirty, so i had to wash them. Besides that everything was very nice and the jacuzzi was very relaxing.

My husband and I had a nice relaxing get away for a few day! House was very cozy!

The cabin was great! Very very clean, a really nice gas fireplace. Only one shower although that is listed on vrbo. No washer or dryer for laundry unfortunately. My only complaint was that the hot tub was very very dirty when we got there. We had to clean a ton of leaves amd debris out of it amd wait until the next day for the water to clear up before we could use it.

Very relaxing stay!!!

Loved staying at the Hemlock Log Cabin. The cabin is surprisingly spacious with enough storage/closet room. It is very private and exclusive but also close to all the popular trails. The driveway was a little bit too steep for our car, but if you have an all-wheel drive, it should be just fine.

Great location, house clean and comfy. Owner very responsive and pleasant to work with. I would recommend placing some information in the book about the outside cameras functionality and purpose as one is directly positioned on the hot tub. The hot tub arm for the cover was broken so I am assuming it is to watch for damage, however, it does feel very awkward and almost like an invasion of privacy. Definately takes away from being able to relax comfortably with the camera lights indicating recording and movements. In addition, adding some kitchen items such as a pizza pan and a strainer would be helpful.

Great location close to all the sites. Comfortable beds and just the right amenities. Its good to know that there is NO groundfloor bedroom. You must climb stairs to enter the house

Perfect cabin for our sibling getaway. Very close to Conkles Hollow, Old Mans Cave, and Ash Cave. We are our meals at the cabin, used the grill and fire pit- all very nice. The driveway was a little tricky getting up for regular vehicles and there was no laundry (which I’m pretty sure was advertised). We will rent again!

We had a wonderful weekend at this enchanted wooden home! Despite the very steep gravel driveway, the home was situated on a very private lot with a fire pit and jacuzzi. It was very close to the trails which was nice!
