Gray Yurt in Hocking

Stayed for 2 nights in this adorable Yurt while hiking at Hocking Hills. It’s exactly as pictured and the hot tub was fantastic for the sore hiking muscles at the end of the day!!

We enjoyed the uniqueness of the yurt. We also liked being able to use the outdoor grill and the hot tub. The two nights that we stayed the school had home football games. The loud speaker with the announcer and the band could be heard very loudly through the woods ( the school was 2 miles away). This took away from the quiet evenings we thought we would be experiencing.

What an AMAZING place to spend time!! We were in need of a few days away and this place DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! Clean, welcoming and cozy! The hot tub overlooking the wooded area was just perfect! Kitchen was perfect size for the two of us to make a couple really good meals! Waking up to the sounds of nature, light coming through the skylight were perfect starts to the day! Can’t say enough about how great this place is! 5 stars, would recommend!!

My husband and I enjoyed every second of our stay. The Yurt was just as pictured. Clean and very beautiful inside and out. We came the weekend after Thanksgiving so it was very cold but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the small towns around there and the small shops. The hot tub was perfect after a day of shopping and being cold. We CANNOT wait to go back! Thanks so much!!!!!!

Beautiful setting

The stay at the yurt was AMAZING!! It had all the comforts of home and then some. The hot tub was amazing. The check in and out process was easy. I’m looking forward to coming back.

Host was responsive, Yurt was clean, kitchen and bathroom had all the normal amenities

This was my birthday present from my husband. Always wanted to stay in a Yurt. This did not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful inside. Super clean. Hot tub was very relaxing. Had the bed time. Will do it again!!

I had a lovely time at the yurt. The hot tub was ready for soaking, and an owl was perched in perfect view from the lower deck. The yurt was packed with all the necessary amenities. The kitchenware was high-quality and cute. The bed linen was clean and comfortable. Towels for the shower and hot tub were provided. The window views were peaceful. I could lounge on the sofa with their thick, cozy blanket or sit at the kitchen table and write. They had a map of nearby trails and other attractions which was great. There was also enough space to do some yoga/stretching. The deck was lovely with two seats, a table, and a grill. I didn't get to use the fire pit since it was raining both nights of my stay, but they had firewood and fire-starters ready. The space also held up through a windy thunderstorm, and I only briefly lost internet connection. I felt safe and calm as I listened to the rain. They offered coffee and creamer. The dishwasher was in working order. The fridge and freezer had enough space for the stay. Everything was clean, save a few cobwebs coming down from the skylight, which would be possible with a high-reach duster. I honestly, outside of a few cobwebs, I could not have asked for a better space! I definitely plan to stay there again with my wife.

This was our first time staying in a Yurt but we loved it and would highly recommend it. We will most likely look to book this again in the future. The owner was easy to get a hold of when there was an issue with getting into the Yurt so that was also a bonus

We were very impressed. We couldn’t get our code to work to enter the property and called the property manager. They returned our call immediately and rectified the situation. The yurt itself was very clean. We enjoyed listening to the birds and the rain at night. The only disappointing thing was the hot tub wasn’t very clean with floating debris. This did not detour our relaxing stay. We would still recommend this unique property to family and friends.

Super homey and inviting! The journal about everyones past visits made the experience for us feel more connected to Hocking Hills and everyone that has stayed in the Yurt. Would definitely book again!

What an awesome hide a way! Was looking to hide away from the world and it was 100% successful!

What a gorgeous little oasis tucked in the woods. The wind prior to our stay caused the power to be out for two days. The homeowner was very informative and did everything they could to make sure we enjoyed our stay, we will definitely be back!

Great place, super clean and plenty of room for 2 people

We stayed Easter weekend. The door was a little hard to figure out but i called the host and the picked up promptly and were able to assist us getting in, by phone. The yurt was beautiful. There is another yurt about 100 yrds from the grey yurt, its green. Either way, the yurt has all the latest appliances and amenities. The first night we ate at Millstone BBQ came back got in the hot tub. The hot tub had some sticks in it but we weren't bothered. It is a little awkward getting into the hot tub. The second day we used the grill. There was plenty of propane and utensils for grilling. There was a thunder/rain storm. It was loud in the yurt but also amazing listening to mother nature happen. We saw deer and squirrels. Overall a great stay. We'll definitely be staying in a yurt again! Thank you to the hosts for a great time!!

We thought that the Yurt was very cool! Property was nice but we were expecting it to be a little more secluded. It was very close to the road so that was a bit loud and there was another Yurt right by it, which was surprising to us when we pulled in. We thought from the listing that on the property the 2 Yurts would be further apart from each other. If the guests in the other Yurt would have been loud it would not have been as relaxing. When you are on the back decks, you can't see the other Yurt unless you purposely look over in that direction. They did have a dog that barked when they left it. On our last day there was a hard rain which caused some leaks in the ceiling. The owner said they would address them and seemed like they were on top of any issues. Over all ... cool experience and would recommend it to others.

This was the perfect solo retreat to unwind and get away for a couple days. The yurt had everything I needed, and the hot tub was awesome!

First time booking through Vrbo unfortunately not a great first impression. Check in process was good and location of site was easy to find. Day one our neighbors staying in the other Yurt didn’t observe “quiet hours”. Music blaring at 11:30pm. Night two more issues. My wife and I got back from hiking and find a puddle of water in the center of the Yurt. Host is notified and says it’s simply “condensation”. Which they knew about before hand. Then more drops of water come from the ceiling due to rain. Then icing on the cake, after dinner sitting on the couch a mouse runs under the stove…fun times…

The yurt was very clean and had all the amenities we were looking for. The shower pressure was great and the kitchen was stocked with plates, utensils, etc. The departure requests were minimal. I would stay here again. As a side note, there is a seond yurt that was closer than expected.

The yurt was perfect. Clean, warm (& it was cold outside 14F). The hot tub was a great respite from the cold hiking. We built a fire outside & cooked in it. Could use a bigger pot for boiling water (couldn’t make spaghetti ) and take aluminum foil/ siren wrap with you. We ran out of water the morning of departure due to a water main break. Timely explanation from the property hosts. All in all a great experience.

Wanted to spend a few days away with my wife to just chill, and do a little hiking. This was the absolute perfect place to do so! Description of the property is very accurate. Everything was very clean and well taken care of, and all of the hiking trails were only 20-30 minutes away. Would recommend this place to absolutely anyone.

The Yurt was clean and looked exactly as pictured. Beautiful get away for our wedding anniversary. It can get a little loud with the other yurt so close, but other than that it was an amazing and relaxing stay.
