Gray Ridge - 6BR/4BA Modern Style Log Cabin - Walk to Old Man's Cave!

The cabin had all the amenities needed and more for a group of 14. Very beautiful cabin and the floor plan was perfect! We had a great stay.

This cabin was gorgeous and so clean! This was a perfect setup for us with 6 couples and 5 babies under the age of 2! We would love to come back in nicer weather to enjoy the property more!

this place is unreal and the owners are very responsive! we had our family Christmas here the weekend before Christmas and everything was perfect, the owners even had a tree up and lit for us! we plan to stay here or maybe try one of their other cabins again next year...trust me, go for it!!!!!!

Great cabin for large family! Cabin was very clean with plenty of seating. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals.

Floorplan is great for a large group. However, hot tub water didn't get hot until day 2. The owner was very responsive every time I messaged her - which was awesome. And I appreciate that the hot tub is drained and cleaned between all guests - but it was a bummer that the hot tub was cold on day 1. With a short stay, we expect to use the hot tub each night. Also the kitchen table is long - which is great - but the chairs are very uncomfortable. Also the couches need throw pillows. Final comment is that the roof makes creaking and popping sounds CONSTANTLY. Like literally all night long.

Property is even better than it looks - immaculate and spacious lodge that easily accommodated five adults. Homey and cozy, we found it great for just hanging around or as a launch point for hiking adventures. Host is very responsive, helpful, and clear with directions. Heartily recommend this property for your Hocking Hills getaways.

The property was exactly as advertised, very comfortable and everything worked perfectly. The property manager answered every question promptly and was very helpful. I would rebook this property for our next family gathering without question.

The Gray Ridge Cabin #2 was centrally located to many hikes and a nice lake. The home was spacious, well equipped, beautiful, and comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well appointed. The home was designed with many seating areas on the decks and rooms in the home that made it easy for my family to have their own space on their downtime. The pool table and large kitchen table was an added bonus for activity and game times with everyone.The outdoor areas and especially the firepit with chairs and a cornhole game allowed us to fun evenings outdoors. All in all the home was great!

Enjoyed every aspect of Gray Ridge. It was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We will be back next year!!

Gray Ridge was a great place for a friends trip! We had a mix of adults and kids and it had something for everyone! Location to the caves and trails was ideal!

The place is beautiful and as described. Very family-friendly. Lots of spaces. We enjoyed the ability to sit around the fire pit. We had meals at that huge table several generations and really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a very positive experience. We would rent it again. The best part of it is that it’s within five minutes of most of the activities we wanted. That was really a big plus with multiple kids. Owner was very responsive and helpful on a few occasions when needed. Overall, an excellent experience.

The cabin was stunning and peaceful. Plenty of room and everyone was able to have their own space/ bed. So thankful for the emailed directions to get to cabin when cell service cut out, made it easy to find. Having fire wood to purchase on site was a pleasant surprise and extremely convenient. Would stay again.

The property was very clean and a perfect parents getaway. We had a great time at the house. Plenty of seating for everyone. The bedrooms were perfect size. And the covered patio was great especially when it rained. We had a great time and even made it over to Old Man’s Cave which was less than 5 minutes away.

A previous review described the cabin and experience like Gatlinburg and I have to agree. The property manager texted to make sure all check in instructions were received prior to getting there and assuring no questions. We had 8 adults and 5 kids staying for a family reunion and had plenty of comfortable room. The location could not have been better for ease of access to popular activities/ trails although do not agree Old Man’s cave was within walking distance (especially with kids). The parking space was very nice for multiple vehicles. As long as everyone didn’t shower/ wash clothes at the same time the water heat and pressure were adequate for such a large group on well water. While we came prepared it was such a pleasant surprise to have TP, paper towels, dish soap already there. The beds were very comfortable and everyone overall slept well. We were very happy with our stay and would recommend to others as well.

Our weekend stay at Gray Ridge was excellent. The cabin was clean, tidy, and spacious for large groups. The surrounding area is peaceful, quiet, and a short drive to nearby hiking trails. Communication from the host was A as well.We will recommend this place to family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We plan an annual outing to Hocking Hills with friends. I am always looking for a good bedroom to bathroom ratio. This house has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. 3 bedrooms upstairs (one is the Master) and two other bedrooms that share one bathroom. The 3 bedrooms downstairs share 2 bathrooms. This is a great property with plenty of seating whether you are inside, around the fire or on the deck (there are two very nice outdoor tables on the deck to eat at). My husband and I slept on the lower level and were quite comfortable. The only sleeping complaint was from one of the upstairs bedrooms with windows without coverings- early morning light and it got hot in the room. We all loved this house and will most definitely be back!

Would highly recommend this property and will definitely boom again. The place was great for our group and property manager very helpful

Gray Ridge was the perfect place for a friends’ reunion. Hiking in the morning, relaxing in the afternoon, and a warm fire in the evening.

This was truly an awesome place to stay. Location was amazingly close to the visitor center and desired hiking areas, house is wonderful in every way, beds were extremely comfortable, and so much space. Great outdoor patio space as well to hang out and spend time. 11/10 experience will definitely return. Host was also very responsive and helpful when questions arose!Two things to note: 1. Grill is charcoal and a bit rusty. I think a new stainless gas grill would be nice. 2. No soap in bathrooms bring your own!

We had a group stay at this cabin, and it was perfect! The host was contacting me before our arrival and was available for any questions. It was so clean and spacious. We loved the outdoor areas and hot tub! Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay.

For context, we stayed there w/ 8 adults and 2 small children. We loved the space, including all the family seating and space, long family table, and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. It's very close to the main Hocking Hills State Park entrance and sits in a beautiful, wooded lot on a ridge line. We definitely plan to return.

Our group had a fantastic time at the Gray Ridge cabin! There were 11 of us total and there was more than enough room for all of us to hang out inside and out without being on top of each other. The cabin was easy to find and get to, and was less than 5 minutes from old man's cave and the visitors center. Internet worked great with no issues. The bathrooms were spacious and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We ended up not using the hot tub, but it looked to be spacious and was a great temp. The outdoor fire pit was a great amenity, and there was plenty of parking. The water pressure left something to be desired but beggars can't be choosers in a remote cabin on well water. Overall, it was a fantastic place and we'd gladly stay again for future visits.

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our group of 13 adults. It’s rare you find one with enough seating both in the living space and dining space. My group also cant stop talking about how comfortable the beds were! Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time! We were a group of eight friends from high school that haven’t seen each other in 30 years. The place was spotless and well stocked! The house is very spacious, and the beds were super comfortable. We will never forget the memories that we made at the Gray lodge!

This cabin was amazing! We have stayed in a lot of cabins in Hocking Hills and this one is now at the top of our list! To start…the flat driveway made It very easy to pull right up to the door and unload, inside it was nice and roomy and had an actual wood burning fireplace which we enjoyed immensely. The bedrooms had plenty of room and really comfortable beds and pillows. The bathrooms had plenty of towels for our 5 day stay and the kitchen was well equipped…we cooked some big meals and had all we needed. They really thought of everything to make this a nice stay for anyone who books…we all talked and decided there was not much we would change if it was our own home! We also had great communication with Ms. Hill as we booked, payments were due and with arrival info…not saying this will happen if you stay…but the cabin was ready early and she even offered for us to check in early if we were near by!

My review is from a perspective of a frequent traveler, especially in large groups of adults and kids ranging from 10-14 where we often rent large houses or cabins. This property indicates it sleeps 16, not only would it honor that, but it also comfortably allows a large group (we had 13) to relax, enjoy each others company and spend some time playing games or eating a meal at one of the HUGE tables (one inside and one on deck). Often a property will sleep a large number but the couches are small, the table(s) are small making it very uncomfortable to just chill. Not this property. Lovely and comfortable leather couches on both levels. Also, everything in this property felt high end. The sheets, towels, even all of the glassware and tableware matched. The outside decks have extremely comfortable rocking chairs and lounge chairs and the firepit area is fantastic for a large group. Property very well maintained. Hot tub clean. 1000% would stay here again. My only gripe if that is what one would call it is that the property states sleeps 16 and a price is shown, if you have any more than 8, you are charged $25 per person per night plus tax once you get to the next page and enter in the actual number of people. Just something to keep in mind and was not a deal breaker just a shock when the end price is shown. The owner was very communicative and super polite.

This is a great house, especially for a girls weekend in Hocking Hills. The location is good and close to hikes. The house itself is upgraded and there are plenty of beds and bathrooms. I was surprised at the lack of staples in the pantry. Only expect salt and pepper. Plan to bring all cooking food supplies, oils, paper towels, etc…

The perfect place for a parents weekend away! We had a great time relaxing on the porch taking in the view and quietness. The hot tub was a perfect place to unwind at the end of our hike. The large tables were perfect for all of us to be able to eat together!

We loved the house! It worked perfect for our group. Very well equipped kitchen. Very clean. Lots of space for everyone. We will definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay in Hocking Hills. It is really convenient to Old Mans Cave and found ourselves going there early for walks before the crowds came in the afternoons. Close to everything. House was perfect. Loved the big table and open spaces to connect with family. Fire pit was a hit as well. And the porch in back was great to having a drink and catching up. Thank you for a terrific trip.

We stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our parent’s 50 wedding anniversary. Directions to the cabin and check in were very smooth. We had some older people in our group so the 3 first floor bedrooms and the step in showers were exactly what we needed for them! There are 2 steps coming into the cabin but other than that it is pretty handicap accessible. My husband is a chef and cooked all of our meals here. He was very happy with how stocked the kitchen was. Some of us went and checked out Ash Cave which was beautiful and only a short drive. Definitely would recommend staying here!

Our team loved the house and enjoyed having their team bonding! Very short drive to the state park and nature preserve as well!

This house was great for our 3 families! The house and property were clean and well maintained. It was set back in a wooded area, but the other 3 houses on the property are within view of this house. We never heard the guests in the other houses from our house, just waved as they walked by! The main living/kitchen area was open so we could all be in there together. The large table had enough seats for everyone, and 3 couches were good for a large group. The large kitchen peninsula was great for preparing meals together. The kitchen had enough dishware and silverware, but could use a few more large serving/mixing bowls. Minor detail, but made preparing meals for a large group a little more tricky. The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms were great for the adults in our group. One challenge was the number of towels and washcloths provided. There were only enough towels/washcloths for 1 per person. Being there for 3 nights meant we did not have enough washcloths to shower each day. Luckily, I brought a stash of washcloths from home, or we would have run out. The finished basement was ideal for the kids to hang out and have their own space. The second refrigerator was clutch! We spent a great deal of time on the porches. Coffee on the back porch in the morning, meals at the big table, and cornhole tournaments at night. The large firepit area was good for cool mornings or evening s'mores. Plenty of parking. Overall, this house was great! We had a great time!

The Gray Ridge was a perfect place for a family vacation with our adult kids and grandkids. Julie reached out before we left for vacation to make sure we had all the info and if we had any questions. She was responsive to our questions while there. New building enough space between cabins for privacy. Building perfect size for our group of 10 adults and 3 kids. Very close to old Man Cave, able to drive to Logan for other activities or meals. Great time, will use if we go back to Hocking Hills in the future.
