INTERNET POLICY..PLEASE NOTE:
**We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.
Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding!
IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION :
**Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA
**Propane Fireplace--should there be tech issues or the propane fireplace upon your arrival please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given.
We really enjoyed this peaceful location for a long weekend away!
The cabin is beautiful, clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The view is gorgeous. The neighborhood is quiet. Downtown Mazama has a gas station, an upscale (lots of organics) general store and a top-notch coffee shop / bakery. We spent our days hiking in North Cascades NP and we would absolutely rent this cabin again. If you're looking to stay in the Mazama area, this is the cabin you want.
Beautiful!!
This property was beautiful! It sits right on a river & the views out the windows are so beautiful. We spent time hiking in the North Cascades & took a beautiful drive up the mountain to Barron (if you drive straight instead of turning into the neighborhood). The cabin was perfect for two families with kids. We had a wonderful vacation!!
This is the second time I have stayed in this lovely cabin on the river. It was perfect for our family. So much to do in the area.wor The house worked out perfectly for us.
Last Chance Lodge is a beautiful home and a perfect location for our day hikes in Okanogan National Forest and not too far from Cascades National Park. It was 5 miles to Mazama, 25 minutes to Winthrop and 40 minutes to Twisp. Despite having neighbors, you don't feel like there are any. The kitchen had the essentials for managing meals and there were plenty of blankets for the varied temperatures during our stay. It would have been nice if more of the windows would have opened (many of the cranks were broken). The check in process was beyond easy and the check out process very clearly listed. I was a little surprised that laundry detergent wasn't provided since starting a load was part of the check out requirements but this was not a major issue. There is no cell service or land line but we found the WiFi was very reliable. We're looking forward to staying here again!
This is our second visit to the cabin. We loved it in Spring and now again at the end of Summer. Two of the adults participated in the Cutthroat Classic run and it was a great place to relax afterwards. The amenities were plentiful and the younger boys enjoyed the river access. We would come back again. Great time, quiet area. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin.
Wonderful accomodations, so comfortable. View of the river is fabulous. Great hiking nearby.
We want to go back soon, love love love
Location was excellent. Love the river views. Unseasonably cool this year so couldnt really take advantage of the deck. There is a plenty of room and nice layout for socializing. I would recommend that some information is included on the fire pit use if allowed. It would have been nice to utilize it given the rain. Also with a rental of this caliber we would have expected a better stocked pantry - it would have been nice to have some oil/sugar and not have to go buy. Lights were out in the bunk bed room. We would have replaced it ourselves but was not a common bulb. Other than those minor things we would stay here again.
Loved this vacation! Everything was great!
