Genuine Log Cabin on Beautiful Goshorn Lake

Loved the cabin! It’s very spacious and extremely cozy. Loved spending the weekend there with family.

The cabin was much larger than we anticipated. Great decor and clean.

Great place to stay!

The good...hot tub, kitchen, location, swimming and fishing access. Things needing improvement...first floor shower leaked into the basement utility room, basement entertainment area needs updating, thin out kitchen cabinets to create space for food storage, various door screens need to be repaired, beds need new mattresses, window sills and other areas needing cleaning. We had a good stay but the house needs updating and maintenance.

We loved our stay. Plenty of room to be together, or to be separate. We grilled outside, made s’mores with the grands, enjoyed the activities (games, arcade) in the basement. Loved the little beach.

Liz made the check-in/out process very easy. The cabin itself was very tidy and exactly what we expected from the listing. We had a great time and would recommend.

This property has everything you need for a wonderful family vacation. The cabin was clean and well appointed, with two full bathrooms and a well stocked kitchen. 4 good sized bedrooms, with TV’s in at least 2 of the bedrooms. The basement is essentially a game room. We used the pool table quite a bit, but there was also a card table, video games, and board games to play. A very nice hot tub on the back deck was a great way to end the day.We loved that the cabin is a little out of town, but a quick drive to attractions. We HIGHLY recommend the sand dune rides at the end of the street. So much fun! We enjoyed our time in town, but also at the beach of Lake Goshorn. The beach is very small, but it’s a nice enough lake. The host was very good about communicating with us prior to the trip. The check out list was simple and reasonable (start a washer load of towels, run the dishwasher, etc). No surprises there.If we come back to this area, we would happily rent this cabin again.

Overall pretty good cabin in a great area. We have now stayed here 3 different times. I do recommend it but wish the owner would do some comfort upgrades - specifically around the bedding, better managing what is in the kitchen, and newer/nicer towels. That would take this from 4 to 5 stars.

This is the third time my family has stayed at Hidden Dunes, but the first in this cabin. We had a great time. When we were done swimming at the beach or jumping off the dock, or paddleboarding Goshorn Lake, the basement game room provided hours of entertainment with a beautiful 9' pool table, video games and big tv. Main floor was comfy and well appointed, though a little dark for all the trees outside. Hot tub was nice and relaxing and on our last night we made smores in the outdoor fireplace which was probably safer for kids than an open firepit.

Great cabin! We didnt get to enjoy the cabin as much as we wanted in our cple night stay but definately enjoyed all the amenities it had. Hot tub worked great and the arcades and pool tables were a great add to cabin. Thanks for having us! wThabjsusyoubsonkic

We loved staying at this cabin. It was a great location, near everything we want to go to, and the cabin itself was set up beautifully. We had everything we wanted and more.

Cabin was super clean, which is hard to do being that it is in the woods and close to the beach. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishware, maybe a bit too much as there was no where to store any food items but on top of the counters. But appliances were updated and everything worked we. A few things to note, not to discourage booking here, because it was great, but just so you know what to expect. The cabin is dark, all day. We had to have lights on all the time. Yes it is in the woods, but the foliage around the cabin keeps any light from getting in. Light-sleepers may want to prepare. All the beds are small and VERY squeaky and there is no sound insulation through the entire cabin. Any noise inside and outside the cabin can be heard throughout the entire cabin, and this includes acorns and squirrels on the roof. The beds were pretty comfortable, but there was only one queen and it is in one of the upstairs rooms, not in the only downstairs room. The cabin is in a condo community so all the cabins are REALLY close together. Now all that being said there are some real plusses to this cabin as well. The hot tub was great and clean and on the screened in porch thank goodness because Michigan mosquitos are no joke. The tankless hot water heater was great for 6 people to all take showers. The game room was so much fun, but bring a sweater because it gets COLD down there. And there is plenty of seating throughout the whole cabin. We had a great time and would definitely go back!

Perfect space for our annual Girls Trip. Short distance to fun destinations and wonderful activities, made everything so simple! Four bedrooms allowed us to spread out, and the ample living room combined with the dining space to provide plenty of room for games, dining, puzzles, movies, and more. Nice game space downstairs. Screens on front door and back patio need attention, so we kept door closed for the most part. But otherwise, it is a great space and location!

We stayed in Hidden Dunes several times over the past 20 years or so, although not in this particular cabin. Hidden Dunes is convenient, well maintained, and has a private beach on Goshorn Lake. We like this neighborhood a lot.
