This wonderful, relaxing log cabin is located in a peaceful wooded setting & has so much privacy all around. If rest & relaxation are as important as the convenience of being close to Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, then take a closer look at this cabin! Conveniently located between Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, just 3 miles off the Parkway, the main road that runs between the 2 towns. It has a gated wrap-around porch & a roomy yard for your pets & kids' safety.

The peaceful setting with plenty of trees for comfortable shade makes this the ideal location to easily access all the area events, restaurants, shopping, & fun things to do. You will enjoy just a short 10-minute drive to either town, all on the main paved roads. Or, if just hibernating is what you like to do while vacationing, you will certainly enjoy the peacefulness & privacy of Hibernation Hideaway.

This cozy log cabin is nestled in the mountains & located midway between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and convenient to all the attractions of the Smoky Mountains area. All roads going there are good main roads. The flat driveway will accommodate several cars & trailers.

The large gated wrap-around porch has a roof cover so you can enjoy the large wooden porch swing & rocking chairs, & 4-person hot tub in any kind of weather, year-round. The private yard has a hammock, fire pit, charcoal grill, kid's swing & large covered area with a picnic table, with open land all around. There are no cabins on either side of the Hibernation Hideaway for all the privacy you are looking for in a mountain cabin stay.

The wide-open spaces around the cabin are wonderful for privacy & a fun place to play games or just relax in the oversized hammock. The fire pit is for marshmallow toasting & outdoor hot dog grilling, or just relaxing. There are chairs & 2 wooden log benches surrounding the fire pit.

Enjoy the cozy living room that has a stone fireplace with remote-controlled logs that can be used year-round for heat or just for a romantic ambiance. There is a 50 TV, a DVD player & movie library, a ceiling fan, a comfortable couch, a recliner & rocking chair.

The kitchen is well-equipped with all updated appliances, a range, a dishwasher, a microwave, & refrigerator w/ icemaker. There is also a blender, toaster, slow-cooker, George Foreman grill, Keurig, & regular coffee maker. An abundance of dishes & cookware makes it easy for eat-in-the-cabin meals for 6 people with a dining table with 4 chairs & 2 log-type bar stools at the kitchen bar.

The laundry closet with a full-size washer and dryer & is located on the main level.

The two bedrooms are located on different levels for privacy. The main-level bedroom has a queen memory foam bed, a large closet & a 32 TV, a DVD player, a ceiling fan, & large closet. The main-level bath has a tub/shower.

The upstairs bedroom has a 32 TV and a ceiling fan.
It has a king memory foam bed & also a comfortable wooden trundle bed in the same room that will sleep 2 people separately. There is a jetted tub in this bedroom & a private half bath inside this bedroom

There are no cabins on either side of the Hibernation Hideaway, just vacant land that offers privacy & can be enjoyed by pets & kids. A cabin across the road can be seen, so you will not feel isolated, but it does not affect the privacy of Hibernation Hideaway. The deck on the other cabin is on the backside of that cabin, so you will only see someone there when they are going to or from their vehicle.

Had an awesome 7 night stay. Had several bear sightings at the cabin which was a highlight of our trip!Geri communicated well and was so friendly. We had a couple of hiccups, and she made sure they were resolved quickly. It was a great stay, and we would stay there again.

Our stay ar Hibernation Hideaway was great.Check in was easy and the cabin was a perfect fit for us, everything we needed was there. Loved the gated wrap around porch. Grocery store was close to cabin, and the cabin location was great to see all the attractions in Gatlinburg, PF, and the park.Host was very helpful with any questions we had. This is our 2nd stay at one of her cabins, and will not be the last. Thank you Geri

We had an excellent stay here. It is exactly as it looks in the photos. We had an excellent time. When booking, please note that there will most likely be many bear/wildlife interactions. One of the reasons my family booked this cabin is because of that factor. We love nature and watching from a safe distance. If this is not your vibe then I wouldn't book it. For us, this was the perfect calm weekend getaway. We were able to enjoy the wilderness/wildlife, Dollywood, and Gatlinburg as this cabin is right in the middle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Its about a 15-20 minute drive to each location making this a super convenient place to stay as well. I will say, if you are planning on using the washer and dryer, the washer did not spin out enough to make the clothes dry enough for the dryer. This did not effect us too much as we were only trying to wash and dry our beach towels. This is literally the only issue we had which is so tiny it is hardly worth mentioning. We will for sure be back we loved our stay and cannot wait to go back. Geri is a lovely host. Thank you so much for making our stay so special! 3

Everything was as advertised. We loved the old fashion feeling of living in the woods and the Bears for a treat to see. Unfortunately, we did not use teh hot tub. We decided to use teh jacuzzi bath in the upstairs bedroom instead. We had no issues or problems.Thank you Geri for providing a great stay. We look forward to coming back soon.

The cabin was cosy; living area not as big as it appears in the photos. Loved that I could bring my pet. Front porch is awesome, except for the gap by the hot tub where pets can escape. The living area was not as clean as I’d expected. Articles of past renters clothing were found in and under the couch. Floor needed sweeping but a broom was not provided. The water pressure was our biggest problem; you got pressure at first, but it dropped to a trickle very quickly. It was very hard to take a shower or wash dishes. Yes, I contacted the host, who responded quickly, but because we had some water coming out it didn’t seem like a quick fix. Doing laundry, taking showers and washing dishes had to be staggered out to let the tank fill up again; and sometimes that didn’t seem to work. If the water pressure were corrected and it was cleaned better it could be a nice place to stay.

The cabin was very cozy. We loved the outdoor space for our dogs and 2 year old daughter. The hot tub was very nice and relaxing in the cool evenings. We love the location as well and how close it was to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The host, Geri, was wonderful and very communicative with us on our stay and answering any questions we had. We will absolutely be back.

The host was great to answer any questions! The drive to the cabin is through a mountain neighborhood of sorts but the roads are well maintained! The cabin was clean and so neat. Good bit of outdoor area if you bring a pet. We would stay again!

OMG!!!! First vacation with the soon-to-be-in-laws!!! We stayed early November, absolutely beautiful fall colors, leaves falling, and little sprinkle here and there. A tad bit nippy at night. The cities are already putting up Christmas decorations!! Seen multiple bears while riding the trails!! House is cute and cozy! Perfect for two couples and a teenager! Hot tub clean and hot! Awesome fire pit areas for chilly nights! Ms. Geri is very inviting! Please read the rules and provided directions when first dinging the location! It really does help! You will appreciate how many times she tells you about the front door hehehe 😂 Hideaway is very centrally located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Please take the scenic route every time you leave the house! It is well worth the drive when you see how beautiful the mountain is!!!
