Stayed Jan 9, 2026Host was very nice and kept up with area weather since wintry conditions were possible. Cabin had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. I thought the moose decor was fun. There are a lot of stairs up to front door if that is an issue for someone.

Stayed Dec 30, 2025The host checked in before our arrival. When we walked in we instantly smelt how clean the property was. There was a detailed binder for everything we needed. Everything kitchen wise we needed was available. Location was great. Private. Host was very kind through the entire trip checking in! Highly recommend. Perfect for a couple!

Stayed Oct 23, 2025My husband and two dogs had a wonderful time. This was our first time at the Chocolate Moose and it was perfect. So comfortable! The dogs loved the porches and long walks. Geri was great! Definitely worth going back!

Stayed Oct 12, 2025First of all, I have nothing but good things to say about Geri. She was very responsive. The cabin was cozy and quiet. King bed was great, very comfortable. The furniture in the living area was too large for the area and illogically placed which caused poor flow for serving meals. Safe Dog Walking threw us off, since we are ones who enjoy walking and expected to do so. But, the roadway was too steep for us to walk as planned and there was no area around the cabin for walking. Although overall the cabin was okay, it just was not the one for us due to the location.

Stayed Aug 14, 2025Found the cabin not to be very well maintained. Furniture needs replacement cob webs ,dust & no vacuum to use. You have to be in very good physical shape to walk your dog as there is very steep inclines .

Stayed Jul 6, 2025We wanted somewhere in the mountains where we could enjoy family time away from all electronics and phones and this cabin was perfect for the rest and relaxation we were hoping for. It is located on a steep grade road but if you take your time and use lower gears it won't be an issue. The cabin is beautiful and that king size log canopy bed is so comfortable. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch having my morning hot chocolate just listening to nature and watching bears casually walking through the driveway. We have 5 miniature schnauzers and had a difficult time finding a place that would allow us to bring our babies but Geri was very understanding and we got to bring them. He is a wonderful host and we highly recommend The Chocolate Moose cabin. We will definitely be back.

Stayed Mar 27, 2025The drive to the cabin is a bit precarious at times but it's worth it. We saw a black bear the second day of our stay. This is the way to stay when you visit Gatlinburg.

Stayed Mar 10, 2025Everything was perfectly spot-on regarding the cabin and all of its amenities. A wonderful weeklong honeymoon stay. Geri is a super-responsive property owner who corresponded with us promptly on a few occasions when we had questions. I spent a week at the Chocolate Moose cabin four years ago and the place hasn’t changed an iota. All credit to Geri. Thank you so much!

Stayed Nov 24, 2024Okay, here we go. It is a mountain cabin. If you are prissy butch get a hotel in town. It’s totally a matter of preference and your personality. It’s actually a good adventure. For me it was awesome. The only thing I would suggest is to recap the pool sticks and fix with the darts (super cheap). But I only say that because my autistic son found a new love for the pool table and I thought maybe he would like the darts too. Obviously though most the time is spent outdoors and going to Dollywood (best food ever) and downtown Gatlinburg. Thanks Geri, I had a good stay. I would book your cabin again and I like your spunk..

Stayed Nov 29, 2024The cabin was very nice and secluded. We enjoyed being able to relax and shut off the world. Everything was in order and nice. Make sure you bring your own toilet paper cause only the remaining roll on the holder was provided.

Stayed Nov 8, 2024Very relaxing stay, close to all the attractions, about a 15 drive to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg! Loved the swing on the front porch and the big king size bed! Definitely need a four-wheel drive as it is in the mountains. Our jeep did a great job! Would definitely recommend!
