Looking forward to some relaxation with my son over spring break. Watched movies, visited some local destinations, etc. Nice time!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Everything you could want or need was available. Loved the hot tub and the twinkling lights at night. Will book this cabin or another from Cut Above again. Thank you for all the helpful info on line and in the cabin.

Host was great with communication. Before booking they were quick to be back with me with my questions as it was a last minute booking because of a last minute cancellation with another booking. The cancellation wasn’t owner fault; Cut Above benefitted from it. Very nice stay, beautiful location. Already looking at other properties for future.

The cabin was perfect for our stay with family and friends. Very nice hot tub. Well stocked kitchen. Very clean and comfortable! We would definitely stay again!

The cabin was in a great location, clean and very well stocked with kitchen and bath supplies. The hosts were very communicative. But...I know the cabin was not rented the day before our Friday arrival (host offered to add Thursday to our stay for reduced ; we did not). The host then offered to let us check in early on Friday (11 am vs 4 pm) for an extra 150! Every hotel in the world will let you check in early if your room is ready. I thought the 150 charge was ridiculous and this left a bad taste in my mouth re this host. Also, the offer to check out late on Sunday for additional hundreds of was excessive. I felt they were nickel and diming me.

They had everything we needed, the hot tub was very nice.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Frontier Cabin. From the moment we booked, our host Evelyn was fantastic. Their communication was prompt, friendly, and they offered several helpful local recommendations that made our trip even better. The cabin itself was exactly what we were looking for. It was immaculately clean upon arrival, and every room was sparkling. The space was far more spacious than we expected, with a great open layout that was perfect for relaxing. Their entire cabin was filled with a warm, inviting atmosphere, and is very close to area sites and attractions. We will book with them again....Thank you!!

I wish we could have used the fireplace, the weather was cold enough. More hooks to hang coats and towels up in the bedrooms would help.

This cabin is very close to old man’s cave and other points of interest. The cabin has lots of games. Very relaxing. Just some points no TV in bed rooms. It makes sense but if you’re used to that just be aware. The hot tub was relaxing. If you have any back issues be aware only one room on first floor. The stairs are very steep. It was a great place for our weekend.

The cleanest vacation rental home I’ve ever stayed in! Amenities are as described and in working order. Hot tub is beautiful and very clean. Had everything we needed and more down to the robes on the dressers in the bedrooms!

The amount of detail in communications was amazing! (And I am in communications for a living!) They were clear and descriptive and everything was as described.

This property is perfectly secluded but just minutes from restaurants and activities. The house is well maintained and has everything we needed to have an amazing stay. I highly recommend it.

First, the location of the property is great. It's secluded and about 10 minutes or less from most of the things you probably have on your list of things to do in the Hocking Hills area. The house itself is clean and the property is well kept. While the listing does state that it is a first level walk-in, it must be stated that the flight of stairs to the first level are STEEP!! To the point that we were traveling with my in-laws and after the first day, they didn't come upstairs anymore. The kitchen, hot-tub, living room, other living spaces are all upstairs. We accommodated them by shifting things to the lower level. There is a bedroom down there were they slept and a game-room area with a futon and TV were we hung out, but it was unfortunate that we didn't feel like we could experience the whole house with them. The pricing structure of this rental is different than most. It is explained in the bottom paragraph ALL the way to the end of the listing. YOU WILL NOT PAY THE QUOTED PRICE YOU SEE LISTED!! By the time I secured this listing for 5 people, it was more than double the initial per night price with the additional per person/night fees, host fees, etc. This is fine, if you are prepared going into it. I gave Evelyn the owner some constructive feedback about the booking process, the number and type of communications she sends out, the harsh tone of the house rules, and the role it plays on the guest experience. She basically blew it off, which is what I expected.

This was our second year getting this house and again it was beautiful, clean, relaxing. The host is amazing! I HIGHLY Recommend this home to everyone. My daughter is 8 and loves the home also. It is definitely a little piece of heaven, we will be back next year for our yearly girls trip

Where we stayed was so close to ALL the trails and we were provided all the comforts and commodities promised in the advertisement.

The cabin was comfortable and very clean (cleanest rental we've ever stayed in). Well-stocked kitchen. Enjoyed the 6 person hot tub daily, and also used the (very nice) grill. Location was excellent! Many of the hikes we wanted to do were within 10 to 15 minutes of the cabin. Would definitely recommend!

Great location and beautiful views

We had a great time in Hocking and loved the cabin. There were 4 of us and it was very comfortable, clean and had all the amenities we could want. I appreciated the clear instructions for everything and it was pretty low stress. Everything was clean, new feeling, and the layout was really fun (steep / ladder-like stairs, lots of wood details, modern bathrooms).

We stayed in the Frontier Cabin, and it was absolutely beautiful. The views were breathtaking, and the privacy made it feel like a true getaway. The kids had an amazing time and enjoyed everything the cabin had to offer. The cabin was immaculately clean, spacious, and had a wonderful layout. The hot tub was a favorite, especially under the stars. The architecture and art throughout the home were stunning and added so much character. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathrooms were roomy and spotless. What really stood out were the games and activities available inside — we’ve never stayed in a cabin that had so much to offer for both kids and adults. The three decks were perfect for relaxing, and the twinkling lights in the woods added such a magical touch. If I could come back here every week, I definitely would. Highly recommend this place for families or anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, peaceful setting.

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend. We loved the hot tub, very roomy, and the coziness and comfort of the cabin.

We had 4 adults at the cabin for a weekend and it was great. The cabin was clean and had just what we needed. The location was nice and we felt very safe there.

The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We enjoyed the close proximity to multiple trails, quiet area and well-equipped kitchen.

My husband, daughter (5), and I stayed at the cabin Nov. 1 - 5 and had a wonderful time. Old Man's Cave was only 8 minutes away. The owners were great about warning us that there is NO SERVICE and your GPS really doesn't work anywhere around there, so we could plan in advance at the house to get on the WIFI and screenshot directions prior to leaving to explore trails or head into Logan. The hot tub was our favorite thing to do in the morning and night. The cabin was cozy & clean. We enjoyed the fireplace and hung in the basement to play board games or foosball. We made a fire one night and it is really peaceful and secluded there. The lights were a nice surprise. There was a nice gas grill to use and the kitchen had everything we needed (even a crock pot for a roast we left in all day while we went out hiking)! The only thing to warn about are the steep stairs to each floor. The cabin was absolutely perfect in every other way though. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend to others!

This property far exceeded our expectations! It was immaculate, beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and furniture, and charming landscape. There were multicolored twinkle lights projected around the house that made the nighttime spent in the hot tub and at the fire pit absolutely magical!!! Communication with the host was timely and informative and I would not hesitate to stay at a “Cut Above” property in the future.

You can tell by the listing the owners pay attention to detail and value a quality stay for their guests. This cabin was small but live bigger as everyone seemed to have their own space if needed, and multiple outdoor areas. The cabin was very clean and well-equipped. The hot tub was high quality and super nice at the end of along day of hiking, and the spa towels was an added bonus. The beds were super comfortable and extra pillows and blankets were provided. The Starlink was better than expected and a nice touch, but did buffer every once in awhile and did stop working at one point. We have Verizon and cell coverage was spotty at best at the cabin. Others in our group had ATT and that seemed to work better. A word of caution about the stairs as the pictures don’t accurately show how steep the stairs from the lower level to the kitchen are. We had my 82 year old mother-in-law with us and having to go up and down those stairs every time we left was touchy, but doable. There were added hand rails, which was thoughtful as well. The added charges for extra people, even if they don’t stay the entire time, seemed excessive and would give us pause for staying here again. To be fair, they were very honest and up front about that in their listing. It’s just a lot of money if you have a son or daughter join you for just one night as you have to pay extra for them for all the nights you booked.

The cabin was clean and comfortable.

This was our 2nd stay at Frontier Cabin for our Girl’s weekend in Hocking Hills. This was by far the best cabin we’ve rented. It’s in a great location, quiet and secluded although close to many trails and Hocking Hills State Park. It was perfect for the 4 of us, we each had our own space. The cabin was comfortable, spotless, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting on the back porch. Loved the firefly lights and new garden! Will definitely stay here again!

I absolutely recommend staying with cut above cabins! It is an amazing experience that I am so grateful the owner has created for others to enjoy. We stayed at the frontier cabin and absolutely in awe with how amazing and grand this cabin is!! The property was absolutely stunning and the cabin was extremely nice and clean that I wish I had their cleaning staff at home! The beds were also so comfortable as well that after a long day of hiking and exploring the area I was able to come back and relax and get a great night sleep. And don’t even get me started on the outside, it perfectly matches the inside! The landscape and views are just stunning! I would come back here in a heartbeat!!
