Welcome to Foxtail, a cozy woodland retreat where peaceful mornings among the trees and relaxing evenings in the spa await. Surrounded by Idyllwild’s natural beauty and close to Strawberry Creek and town, this inviting cabin is a wonderful home base for experiencing the mountains.

Inside, gather in the comfortable living room and warm up by the fireplace after a day of exploring. Put on your favorite movie or show, enjoy an easy night in, or prepare a home-cooked meal together inthe fully equipped kitchen.

Foxtail features two bedrooms and accommodates up to six guests. The first bedroom offers a queen bed, while the second features a double-sized bunk bed, making the cabin especially well suited for families and small groups.

Step outside onto the spacious deck surrounded by beautiful tree views. Start your morning with coffee and fresh mountain air, share a meal around the outdoor dining table, or simply settle in and enjoy the peaceful woodland setting. After hiking, exploring town, or spending the day outdoors, slip into the private spa and unwind beneath the trees.

Take a walk to nearby Strawberry Creek, spend the afternoon discovering Idyllwild’s local shops and restaurants, or head out for a day of hiking and exploring. With the heart of town just over a mile away, you can enjoy the peaceful feeling of a cabin in the woods while staying close to everything that makes Idyllwild special.

At the end of the day, return to Foxtail, soak in the spa, cozy up by the fireplace, and enjoy your own relaxing escape in the mountains.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING:


Streaming services are available, but guests must log in using their accounts.
This vacation rental is not equipped with air-conditioning.

-Cancellations: Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund, with a $150.00 cancellation charge. Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund, plus a $150.00 cancellation charge.
No Cancellations are Allowed for November, December, and January.

- Pets: We do allow dogs, however, please note that there is a fee of $35 per dog per night. If you plan to bring more than one dog, you must obtain prior approval and additional fees may apply. When booking through selected third-party sites such as Airbnb, once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a payment request for the dog fee, which should be paid separately.

-Soft Tub Spa: The availability of the spa may be impacted during the winter months (November -March) as its use is dependent on weather conditions, temperature may range between 85°F–100°F and may not consistently exceed 100°F due to colder temperatures.

Check-in instructions: On your arrival day, the reserving guest will receive a text with check-in instructions between 3:30 and 4:00 PM. Please stop by our office to retrieve your key from the lockbox.

- Parking: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

- Outdoor lighting: Please note that outdoor lighting must comply with Riverside County regulations and must not blink, flash, or rotate. Guests will be held liable for any light trespass on surrounding properties.

- County permit number: 000034

- Rental agreement: Please review our rental agreement for our house rules. You will receive an emailed version to sign, but if you prefer other options, please inquire.

- Age restrictions: Due to the new County of Ordinance 927.2: We no longer accept reservations for anyone under 21 years of age.

- Seasonal wood delivery: If available, there is a $25 fee per bundle (approximately 20 pieces). Please provide at least 5 days' notice for a Friday arrival date or at least 3 days' notice for any other day of the week. Please note that there are no refunds for this service.

- Confirmation: Upon booking this property through Airbnb, New Spirit Vacation Homes will send you a direct email confirming your reservation. Attached to this confirmation will be a contract you need to review, sign, and send back within 24 hours.

- Incidentals: We reserve the right to request payment for any incidentals. This includes but is not limited to firewood, pet fees, special occasion requests, personal grocery drop-offs, pay-per-view movies or sporting events, and damaged property.

Guests booking this home under the age of 25 years of age will provide an additional insurance for $70.00 non-refundable on the day of arrival.
