Stayed Oct 20, 2023We had an excellent stay at the Fox Den Cabin. The property is exactly as described. The host was great and answered all my questions before arrival. The location is ideal to visit the Shenandoah National Park and Luray area. Highly recommend. Beware that we had no service from our cell phone providers and there is now wifi on site, but the property is equipped with a landline phone.

Stayed Jul 9, 2023Very cozy cabin, beautiful property. Eric and his mom were very receptive to our needs. Others complained that it's dated.....it's a cabin in the mountains and what I would expect as such.

Stayed Feb 4, 2022It was a great weekend! No cell service and was happy not to have it. Hiking close by in the Shenandoah Park. The house had everything we needed. Will be back again to stay here this spring.

Stayed Sep 27, 2021This place was perfect for our needs. Our dog loved playing fetch and exploring in the yard. The setting was quiet and peaceful. I was surprised to see a large amount of wood already cut for the fire pit. The inside of the cabin also had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time in Shenandoah National Park, so being so close to the Thornton Gap entrance was great.

Stayed Jul 6, 2021Perfect place to get away. We spent our days at Shenandoah NP and then relaxed at this lovely cabin. Get up early and sit on the porch and maybe you’ll see 3 momma turkeys with about 30 babies like we did! Well equipped kitchen for eating in but close enough to Luray for eating out. We had no cell service and there’s no WiFi but we barely missed it. Definitely would stay again!

Stayed Jan 17, 2020The property is a little bit of a 70s throwback - in a really good way. Dated, but immaculately maintained. We were fine with not having wi-fi, as it was clearly disclosed before we went. Unplugging is good! Comfortable, with kitchen needs supplied.

Stayed Oct 31, 2025We had a wonderful time. The cabin is close to Luray and has easy access to many hiking trails. The kitchen was well stocked, and we enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the sun set.We did come in at night; the cabin's outside lights were off, and we had a hard time seeing the cabin. We drove around the gravel driveways and accidentally ended up at a different house. This prompted the Page County Sheriff's Department to grace us with a visit. We did get it all worked out and did find the right house. At the end of the gravel drive, where the cabin's driveway turns right, there is a tree with a no parking sign. It would also be helpful to have a reflective sign with the house number and an arrow pointing right, so at night, car headlights would light it up. All in all, it was a great location and a very comfortable stay.

Stayed Sep 26, 2025We have stayed at this lovely property before. It is very quiet, clean and comfortable. I remembered from our last stay that there is no WiFi or cell phone reception so I brought along Yahtzee as a fun distraction! I felt totally relaxed and we both enjoyed the porch more than anything else!

Stayed Apr 18, 2025Beautiful property, big yard, really nice space. Quick drive to the Thornton Gap park entrance. This was a great place to rest and relax after exploring the park all day. Nice kitchen, with everything you need. We had no cell reception and there is no WiFi (fine with us), so we relied on board games & cable TV for entertainment, which was plenty.

Stayed Nov 1, 2024This is a comfortable cabin that has everything you need. It is set back off the road and is very peaceful and quiet. The porch is so inviting for morning coffee or a late afternoon beverage. If you are exploring Shenandoah National Park, this cabin is SO close. There is a shortcut to Hwy 211 via a gravel access road (Jewell Hollow Access Road) that saves a lot of time in getting to the park. You will find it on Google Maps. Be aware that the listing is correct....there is NO cell coverage or wifi. But there is cable tv. You will find an enjoyable stay at this cabin.

Stayed Oct 9, 2024This cabin was the perfect place to stay for our mother-daughter trip to Shenandoah National Park. Be sure to keep the owner's directions to the cabin handy, though, as the GPS will likely take you to the wrong location. Having no Wi-Fi or cell service at the cabin was a welcome gift — it allowed for lots of conversation and time to do a 500-piece puzzle together!

Stayed Sep 18, 2024This place was ideal for a quiet weekend getaway. The cabin was clean, well furnished and very cozy. We saw wild turkeys and deer in the front yard and enjoyed sitting out on the large porch. Will definitely stay here again. The only drawback was there wasn’t any WiFi to search for places to go or to keep in touch with family back home.

Stayed Aug 2, 2024We loved the cabin. It was quiet, clean, and kinda reminded me of the feeling you get when you go to your grandparents house. It was very cozy. We loved sitting on the front porch. You feel really far away from things but you aren’t. We would definitely stay again!!
