Stayed Jul 17, 2025We had not been to Concan in since my youngest teenager was just a kid and we had never stayed in this part of the river. Definitely very lively and fun. The whole family fell in love with the place and look forward to coming back.

Stayed Jul 5, 2023Decided to make a short trip to the Frio and needed a place for 10 people. We wanted a place close to the river and luckily found River Recess. The listing says rustic and I’d say that is an accurate description. We giggled at the “school themed” decor as 4 of us are educators. Seemed like we were destined to stay here. The house had everything we needed for a 2 night stay and plenty of beds. It definitely served its purpose for us. There isn’t currently WiFi at this house, but they said they have requested it and just waiting to hear back. The Frio Fun staff were so nice and accommodating. We would definitely book again.
